A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads through the carpet (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next summer thunderstorm outage. Most Seven Oaks and Shakerag installs wrap in under four hours.

Stairlift Service Across Fulton County

Fulton County, GA

Country Club of the South's gated 1988-2000s colonials — anchored by the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course — have the two-story foyer staircases with 90° upper-landing turns that require custom curved rails. St. Ives homes use wider 42-inch treads that leave a full walkway beside the mounted rail. Medlock Bridge and Shakerag's 1990s subdivisions along the eastern corridor are our fastest installs: standard two-story construction, carpeted treads, straight geometry, done in under four hours. Ocee mixes 1980s split-level entries needing curved rails with standard two-stories. Seven Oaks trends newer with open floor plans that make the install nearly invisible from the foyer. We also serve Duluth, Alpharetta, Peachtree Corners, Suwanee, Norcross, and Roswell. The Atlanta VA Health Care System in Decatur handles HISA grants for north Fulton veterans.

Seven Oaks colonial — straight rail color-matched to dark oak treads

Seven Oaks, GA Installed March 2026

A 2003 colonial in Seven Oaks with dark hardwood treads on an open-tread staircase running from the family room to the upper hallway. Mr. Richardson had a knee replacement at Northside Hospital and needed the lift working before he came home from rehab. We bolted a straight rail to the oak treads on the right side, parked the beige seat at the bottom landing, and matched the rail finish to the warm wood grain. The open-tread design meant every bracket had to sit flush — no wobble, no overhang. Three hours from first bolt to final test ride.

Country Club of the South — curved rail through a two-story foyer landing

Country Club of the South, GA Installed February 2026

A 1994 Georgian colonial inside the gates of Country Club of the South with a two-story foyer staircase and a 90° turn at the upper landing. Mr. Patel's mother moved in from New Jersey after a hip replacement. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper floor, and installed a swivel-exit seat so she steps off directly onto the hallway. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper landing beside framed art on the wall, and the chandelier above lights the full curve of the rail.

Ocee cottage — straight rail beside the family credenza on stone treads

Ocee, GA Installed January 2026

An early-1990s home in Ocee with stone-tile treads and a compact staircase tucked next to a wooden sideboard with a potted plant the family had kept there for twenty years. The traditional cottage feel of the home meant every detail mattered — we mounted the straight rail along the inner wall, kept the brown-upholstered seat folded flat when parked, and left enough clearance for Mrs. Chen to pass the sideboard without rearranging her foyer. The cozy, compact space didn't need a curved rail — just careful bracket placement.

Ocee raised entry — outdoor lift on stone-paved porch steps

Ocee, GA Installed December 2025

An early-1990s home in Ocee where the driveway sits four feet below the front entry — a grade change the builder created with a retaining wall and stone-paved porch steps. Mr. Morrison is a retired Army officer who qualified for the full $6,800 HISA grant through the Atlanta VA. We anchored the weather-sealed rail into the existing stone paving, mounted the cream-colored seat for the covered porch exposure, and added a keyed lockout at the front door landing. The stone floor drains away from the rail footings naturally.

Shakerag subdivision — straight rail on carpeted stairs with dual remotes

Shakerag, GA Installed November 2025

A 1995 two-story in Shakerag where three generations share the home. The grandmother had moved from Hyderabad after her husband passed, and the carpeted stairs between floors were her daily obstacle. We mounted a straight rail on the carpet-covered treads — the brown upholstery matches the carpet tones almost exactly. Wireless call-send remotes at both the top landing and the tiled foyer floor let anyone in the family send the chair to whichever level she needs. The folding footrest keeps the stairs clear for the grandchildren running between floors.

Platform Lift

Medlock Bridge — indoor wheelchair platform for a two-story colonial

Medlock Bridge, GA Installed October 2025

A 1998 colonial in Medlock Bridge where Mrs. Kim's father uses a power wheelchair and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges, white handrails on both sides, and a fold-up deck when not in use. The orange-toned walls of the stairwell frame the unit, and natural light from the window on the landing keeps the ride bright. One button press carries him from the foyer to the upper hallway without ever leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Johns Creek Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Johns Creek right now?

Straight rails in standard Johns Creek homes — the Medlock Bridge colonials, the Shakerag two-stories, the newer Seven Oaks floor plans — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most Country Club of the South and St. Ives staircases with upper-landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Do you charge more for gated communities like Country Club of the South or St. Ives?

No. Equipment and labor pricing is the same regardless of the subdivision. What changes between a St. Ives install and a Medlock Bridge install is whether the staircase has a curve or a straight run. We quote based on staircase geometry, not address. No 'premium neighborhood' surcharge.

Will the stairlift damage our carpet or the hardwood underneath?

The rail bolts through the carpet into the plywood subtread with stainless-steel brackets — the carpet is not cut, just compressed under the bracket footprint. If you remove the lift years later, you're left with a handful of small pilot holes in the subtread and slight carpet compression marks that disappear after steam cleaning. No wall damage, no banister damage, no drywall patches.

Can you install on both staircases in the same visit?

Yes. Many of the larger Johns Creek homes — especially in Country Club of the South and St. Ives — have a front staircase off the foyer and a back staircase off the kitchen or bonus room. We measure both during the free assessment and can install two straight rails in a single day. Two curved rails require separate fabrication but are installed back-to-back.

A word from Luis

Johns Creek calls come from two directions — a grown child in Alpharetta or Duluth worried about a parent alone in a 1990s Country Club of the South colonial with a two-story foyer staircase, or a couple in St. Ives who built the house in 1995 and never imagined the master bedroom would be upstairs at age 75.

I drive to your door within 24 hours, measure with a laser, and give you a written price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you qualify for the Georgia EDWP Medicaid waiver or a VA HISA grant through the Atlanta VA, I'll tell you before we talk numbers.
