Stairlift Service Across Fulton County

Fulton County, GA

Milton stairlift installs go into every kind of home the city has. In Crabapple, older two-story homes near the historic crossroads have tight turns and narrower treads — often a curved rail, measured on site. In The Manor, grand curved staircases with hardwood treads need a custom-bent rail. Crooked Creek and Tullamore tend toward newer construction with carpeted stairs — a straight rail bolts to the treads in about three hours. The equestrian properties along Birmingham Road often put lifts on split-level entries. Blue Valley, Triple Crown, and White Columns have a mix: straight, curved, and outdoor porch lifts. We also cover nearby Alpharetta, Roswell, Johns Creek, and Cumming.

Straight

A Straight Rail on Dark Hardwood in The Manor

The Manor, GA Installed March 2026

The Harringtons have a two-story colonial in The Manor with dark oak treads and white risers. Mrs. Harrington, 78, had stopped going upstairs after a knee replacement. Luis installed a 14-foot straight rail, bolting it to the treads — no wall anchors, no drywall damage. The cream seat parks at the bottom landing and folds up when not in use. By lunch she was riding up to her sewing room.

A 90-Degree Curve at the Upper Landing in Crooked Creek

Crooked Creek, GA Installed February 2026

The Patels' Crooked Creek home has a grand curved staircase with a half-wall and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing, lit by a chandelier. The brown leather seat parks at the top floor. Luis spent an hour with the laser rig capturing the exact radius of the turn. The custom-bent rail went in during a single afternoon. Mrs. Patel, recovering from a stroke, uses it to reach the upstairs master suite.

Compact Straight Install in a Historic Crabapple Home

Crabapple, GA Installed January 2026

The Williams house sits a block off Crabapple Crossroads — built in the late 1970s, with stone-tread stairs and a compact footprint. The staircase runs alongside a wooden sideboard cabinet, leaving just enough room for the rail. Luis used the slim-profile rail to keep the folded brown seat about 12 inches off the wall. Mr. Williams, a Vietnam-era veteran, used his HISA grant to cover most of the cost.

Weather-Sealed Outdoor Lift on a Blue Valley Porch

Blue Valley, GA Installed April 2026

The Chens' Blue Valley home has a raised front porch with rough stone paving — four steps up, the only way in. Mrs. Chen's mother was struggling with the steps to make her Alpharetta doctor appointments. Luis installed a weather-sealed IP55 outdoor stairlift with a UV-resistant cream seat cover. The unit has run through two Georgia summers and a winter in the 20s without skipping.

Carpeted-Stair Straight Rail in Tullamore

Tullamore, GA Installed December 2025

The Andersons' Tullamore home, built in the early 1990s, has a straight staircase with beige carpeted treads leading from the tiled foyer to the upstairs bedrooms. The brown seat parks at the upper landing and matches the carpet tones. Luis bolted the rail through the carpet into the wood sub-treads, power tapped from a base outlet. Mr. Anderson was riding up the same afternoon.

Platform Lift

Inclined Platform Lift for a Wheelchair User in White Columns

White Columns, GA Installed March 2026

The Thompsons live in White Columns off Hopewell Road. Their son uses a manual wheelchair, and the 14-step indoor staircase was the only way to the upstairs bedrooms. Luis specified an inclined platform lift that rides the existing staircase — flat black deck, yellow safety edges, a white handrail along the open side. The platform holds 600 pounds. The rail needed extra bracing, so install took a full day.

Common Questions

Everything Milton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Milton, GA?

A straight stairlift in Milton starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts, common here because of all the custom homes with curved or landing staircases, start at $9,000. The final price depends on rail length, any turns or intermediate landings, and power configuration. We give you a fixed quote after the home assessment — no surprise charges. Outdoor units start at $4,000, and heavy-duty lifts rated for 600 pounds start at $5,050.

Why are curved stairlifts more expensive than straight ones?

Curved rails are custom-bent to match your exact staircase geometry. We come to your Milton home with a laser measurement rig and map every turn, rise, and landing — takes about an hour. The rail is then fabricated at the factory to those exact measurements. A straight rail, by contrast, comes in standard lengths that we cut to fit on site. That custom fabrication step is what drives the price difference.

Does insurance cover stairlift installation in Georgia?

Standard Medicare and most private insurance plans do not cover stairlifts. However, Georgia's Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP) — a Medicaid waiver — covers home modifications including stairlifts with a $10,000 lifetime cap. The HISA grant through the VA covers up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans and $2,000 for non-service-connected veterans. We also offer financing starting at $79/month.

Are there any hidden costs I should know about for a Milton stairlift?

No. Our quote covers the lift, the rail, installation labor, and the on-site demonstration. If your Milton home needs an electrical outlet near the top or bottom of the stairs, that's typically the only add-on — and we can recommend a local electrician. The battery backup is built into every unit we sell, not an upcharge. We don't charge for the initial home assessment either.

A word from Luis

Milton's not like the rest of metro Atlanta. These are big properties — 5 acres, 10 acres, horse barns out back. The houses are newer than in-town Atlanta, but the staircases can be just as tricky. A lot of what I do is put lifts on those grand curved staircases in The Manor and Crooked Creek. Those take a custom-bent rail — I come out with the laser, measure for about an hour, and the rail comes back bent to the exact sweep. For the older Crabapple homes, it's usually a straight run but the stairs are narrower, so we use the slimmer rail. Every install here is different because every house is different.

The other thing about Milton is the split-level entries on a lot of these equestrian properties. Someone builds a beautiful home with the horse barn out back, and then 20 years later the stairs from the garage or basement become a problem. A straight lift solves that in an afternoon. Or we put an outdoor unit on the porch entry for folks who want to keep using their front door instead of coming in through the garage. It's practical — no drama, just a working lift.

— Luis Ramírez, Milton
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Milton is different from the rest of metro Atlanta, and the homes here reflect that. From the equestrian estates with their split-level entries to the historic Crabapple crossroads homes built decades ago, no two staircases are quite the same. That's why every install starts with a free home assessment — Luis comes out, measures your stairs, checks the turns and the tread material and the electrical setup, and tells you exactly what lift fits and what it costs. No pressure, no estimate roulette.

If your mom can't get to the upstairs bedroom anymore, or your dad's been sleeping on the couch because the stairs are too much, call us or fill out the form. We typically schedule the assessment within a few days and can install within the week. You get a working lift, a demonstration, and a 5-year warranty — plus the lifetime rail warranty that covers the rail itself for as long as you own the home.
