Stairlift Service Across Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County, GA

From the Victorians in Historic Norcross — staircase widths rarely over 34 inches — to the 1960s split-levels in Knollwood, 1980s two-stories in Pebble Creek, and newer builds in Sheffield Forest, every Norcross neighborhood has its own stair geometry. Homes along Beaver Ruin Road run to ranch-style layouts with wide, shallow stairs. The North Peachtree corridor mixes 1920s Craftsman bungalows with 2000s executive homes. Oakbrook Station and Hyde Park round out the residential mix with 1970s–1990s builds. Springdale Estates and Williamsburg Estates feature larger floor plans with multi-level staircases — some straight, some needing a curved rail. No two are alike, but after 15 years installing here, we've seen every configuration.

Straight

Straight Rail in a Historic Norcross Victorian

Historic Norcross, GA Installed March 2026

The Morrison family's 1890s Victorian on North Peachtree has original heart-pine floors and dark oak treads. Mrs. Morrison had stopped using the upstairs bathroom — the stairs were too risky. We bolted a 14-foot straight rail to the treads. No walls touched, no woodwork disturbed. Three hours. The cream upholstery parks at the bottom landing against the dark oak.

Curved Rail at an Upper Landing in North Peachtree

North Peachtree, GA Installed February 2026

The Chen family's two-story off North Peachtree has a staircase that turns 90° at the upper landing, wrapping around a half-wall beneath a chandelier. We laser-measured the turn — about an hour on site — then built the curved rail to match. The brown seat parks at the upper landing, tucked against the wall so the hallway stays clear.

Straight Rail in a Pebble Creek Split-Level

Pebble Creek, GA Installed January 2026

The Davis family's 1980s split-level in Pebble Creek has ceramic tile treads and a tight entry-hall staircase. The stairs are only 34 inches wide — not a problem for the narrow-rail straight lift. We bolted through the tile to the sub-tread, ran the power from a nearby outlet, and tested the battery backup. The brown seat tucks beside the wooden sideboard at the bottom.

Outdoor

Outdoor Lift on an Oakbrook Station Porch

Oakbrook Station, GA Installed December 2025

The Rivera family's Oakbrook Station home has a stone-paved porch entry with five steps up. Mrs. Rivera had been avoiding the front door, using the garage entrance instead. We installed an IP55-rated outdoor straight lift on the porch steps — sealed motor, UV-resistant seat, galvanized fasteners for Georgia humidity and winter freeze-thaw. Now she walks out the front door again.

Straight Rail on Carpeted Stairs in Sheffield Forest

Sheffield Forest, GA Installed November 2025

The Thompson family's 1990s two-story in Sheffield Forest has carpeted stairs — 13 steps, standard rise, beige carpet. We bolted through carpet and pad to the sub-tread with five lag bolts per bracket, plugged into a hallway outlet, and ran the battery test. Four hours of backup confirmed. The brown seat blends with the carpet tone. Installed in three hours, no mess.

Platform Lift

Indoor Platform Lift for a Wheelchair User in Hyde Park

Hyde Park, GA Installed October 2025

Mr. Watson in Hyde Park uses a wheelchair full-time. His split-level has a six-step half-flight that had become an impassable barrier between floors. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift — flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail. The platform carries his chair up the staircase, then folds against the wall when not in use. Rated for 600 pounds.

Common Questions

Everything Norcross Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost in Norcross?

From $2,800 installed. That includes the rail, seat, on-site measurement, and the 3-hour install. No hidden fees — the price Luis quotes is the price you pay. Financing is $79/month if you'd rather spread the cost.

How much is a curved stairlift in Norcross?

From $9,000. A curved rail is custom-bent to your exact staircase after a 1-hour laser measurement. The price varies with the number of turns and total rail length. Luis gives you an exact number before you commit — no surprises.

Are there financing options for a stairlift in Norcross?

Yes — $79/month through our financing partner. No prepayment penalty, no balloon payment. Approval takes minutes. A straight stairlift at $2,800 financed at $79/month works out to about three years. You can pay it off early with no penalty.

Does Medicare cover stairlift costs in Norcross?

Medicare Parts A and B do not cover stairlifts — they classify them as home modifications, not medical equipment. Georgia's Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP) has a $10,000 lifetime cap that can cover home modifications including stairlifts for eligible seniors. We'll help you check.

A word from Luis

I've been installing stairlifts in Norcross since before the Spaghetti Junction rebuild. The housing stock here is unusual for metro Atlanta — 1910s farmhouses, 1920s Craftsman bungalows, 1950s brick ranches, and brand-new builds all sit within a mile of each other on streets like North Peachtree and Holcomb Bridge. That means every install is different.

The Victorians in Historic Norcross are the trickiest — stairs are narrower, treads are deeper, and nobody wants a bolt touching original woodwork from 1890. We use a narrow-rail system that mounts to the tread edge, so newel posts and balusters stay untouched. On the Beaver Ruin side, the 1980s split-levels go in fast — straight rail, about 14 feet, lag bolts through carpet to the sub-tread.

What I tell every Norcross family is the same: call me, I'll come look at your stairs, and I'll tell you honestly which rail fits. If a straight rail does the job, it's $2,800 and we're done in three hours. If it needs a curve, I laser-measure and give you an exact number before you commit to anything.

— Luis Ramírez, Norcross
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

From the 150-year-old Victorians on North Peachtree Street to the 1990s two-stories in Sheffield Forest, Norcross homes share one thing: stairs that get harder with age. We've installed lifts in enough of them to know which rail fits which staircase — no guesswork.

Whether you're a block from Thrasher Park or near Beaver Ruin Road, the process is the same. Luis measures, we build the rail, and three hours later the stairs aren't a barrier. Call (800) 965-0350 or fill out the form — you'll have a quote within the day.
