Stairlift Service Across Fulton County

Fulton County, GA

Windward is the anchor – 3,400 acres of 1988-to-early-2000s colonials and traditionals along Windward Parkway with 14-to-16-step carpeted runs and standard 36-inch treads. We've installed in over 40 Windward homes. Crooked Creek is the gated golf community off Kimball Bridge Road with wider floor plans and longer stair runs; many have secondary staircases off the kitchen.

Downtown Alpharetta and Avalon represent newer stock – post-2010 townhomes with narrow, straight staircases over two or three floors. Glen Abbey and Jamestown fill the middle ground with 1990s traditional brick homes. Adjacent Roswell, Johns Creek, and Milton are within our same-day service radius – no travel fee.

Straight

Windward colonial – straight rail on dark hardwood treads with beige seat at bottom landing

Windward, GA Installed March 2026

A 1994 brick colonial in Windward with dark hardwood open-tread stairs and a warm residential interior. The beige stairlift seat sits unfolded at the bottom landing, with the straight rail bolted to the right side of the oak treads. Mrs. Patel's mother had been sleeping in the first-floor study since January after a stumble on the top three steps. The rail runs the full length of the staircase without touching the existing banister, and the swivel-exit seat rotates at the top so she steps off onto the hallway floor.

Curved

Crooked Creek estate – curved rail with 90° turn at upper landing

Glen Abbey, GA Installed February 2026

A late-1990s estate with a sweeping staircase where the curved rail bends around the half-wall at the upper floor landing. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the top, with a chandelier above and framed art on the wall. Mrs. Callaway's daughter in Roswell called on a Wednesday – we scanned Thursday and fabricated a curved rail that carries her from the foyer to the second-floor hallway in one continuous ride. The modern interior stays intact, and Mrs. Callaway steps off at the top directly onto the hallway carpet.

Glen Abbey traditional – straight rail in compact space beside sideboard

Glen Abbey, GA Installed January 2026

A 1998 brick traditional in Glen Abbey with stone-look tile treads and a cozy, traditional interior. The brown-upholstered seat sits at the bottom of the stairs next to a wooden sideboard with a potted plant. Space was compact – the Whitfields needed the chair to fold flat so the hallway traffic pattern stayed unchanged. The straight rail mounted flush to the treads in this cottage-feel home, and the seat folds against the wall at the bottom when not in use.

Jamestown raised entry – outdoor stairlift on stone-paved porch steps

Jamestown, GA Installed December 2025

A Jamestown home with a raised front porch and rough natural stone paving at the entry. The cream-colored outdoor seat sits at the bottom of the porch steps, with natural daylight from above through the covered entry. Mr. Kimura is a retired veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur. All fasteners are 316 stainless, the motor housing is IP54 weather-sealed, and the upholstery is UV-resistant for Georgia's intense summer sun and humidity.

Straight

Windward home – straight rail on carpeted stairs with color-matched seat

Windward, GA Installed November 2025

A 1990s Windward colonial with fully carpeted stairs and a landing area. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones – Mrs. Warren specifically asked for a color match so the lift blends in. Wall-mounted light switches flank the landing, and a tiled floor at the bottom of the landing provides a stable dismount surface. The rail bolts through the carpet into the stair treads beneath, and the carpet stays intact around every mounting bracket. Standard Alpharetta residential geometry, completed in a single afternoon.

Platform Lift

Downtown Alpharetta – indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

Downtown Alpharetta, GA Installed October 2025

Mr. Brennan uses a wheelchair full-time after his double knee replacement and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift in his Alpharetta townhome – a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges and a white handrail. The indoor stairway has warm orange-toned walls and a window providing natural light. The platform rides the rail from the main floor to the bedroom level, carrying the wheelchair and occupant together. Not a seated stairlift – a true platform for wheelchair access.

Common Questions

Everything Alpharetta Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Alpharetta right now?

Straight rails in standard Alpharetta homes – the Windward colonials, the Glen Abbey traditionals, the Downtown Alpharetta townhomes – run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most Crooked Creek and larger Windward homes with upper-landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Do you charge more for gated communities like Crooked Creek or White Columns?

No. Equipment and labor are priced the same whether you're in a Crooked Creek estate or a Jamestown townhome. The only thing that changes price is staircase geometry – straight vs. curved, indoor vs. outdoor. We handle gate-access logistics and HOA paperwork on our end. No Alpharetta address premium.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering?

For straight staircases, a certified refurbished unit can save 30-40% off a new install – we carry factory-reconditioned straight rails with new upholstery, new batteries, and a 2-year warranty. We replace every battery with our heat-rated spec before resale, because factory batteries fail in Georgia's attic-adjacent stair temperatures. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never an option because the rail is custom-built to a specific staircase. Ask during your assessment.

Any hidden fees for three-story Avalon townhomes?

Our quote covers everything: rail, seat, installation labor, battery backup, and the first service visit. A three-story townhome with two separate staircase runs is quoted as two units – we give you the combined price during the free assessment. If you only need one floor served, you buy one unit. No surprises.

A word from Luis

Alpharetta calls follow a pattern – a grown child in Roswell or Johns Creek worried about a parent alone in a Windward colonial with 14 carpeted steps to the master bedroom, or a couple in Crooked Creek who built the house in 1997 and never planned on the second floor becoming a problem at 72.

I drive to your door within 24 hours, measure with a laser, and hand you a written price honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you qualify for the Georgia EDWP Medicaid waiver or a VA HISA grant through the Atlanta VA, I tell you before we talk numbers.

Most Alpharetta families call me after something has already gone wrong – a stumble at the top of the stairs, a parent sleeping in the recliner because the bedroom is upstairs. I'd rather get the call before that happens.

— Luis Ramírez, Alpharetta
