Stairlift Service Across Burlington County

Burlington County, NJ

From the Victorian twins along High Street to the pre-war rowhouses near the Burlington waterfront, from the established neighborhoods around Burlington City and Burlington Township to the newer developments spreading toward Mount Laurel and Evesham, our team has measured stairs in every style of home Burlington County builds. We know which High Street Victorians have the narrow 28-inch stairwell that requires the compact-profile rail, which waterfront rowhouses have the steep pitch that needs the adjustable-angle mount, and which Mount Laurel colonials have the finished basement stairs where a second rail saves a family from moving.

We cover all of Burlington County — Willingboro, Medford, Pemberton, Bordentown, Cinnaminson — without additional travel charges.

Straight

Compact straight rail in a Burlington waterfront rowhouse — beige seat, narrow stairs

Burlington Waterfront, NJ Installed March 2026

A 1920s rowhouse near the Burlington waterfront with stairs only 29 inches wide between the plaster wall and the original wooden banister. Two other installers declined the job. We brought the compact-profile rail, measured the tread width twice, and bolted the rail into the hardwood treads without touching the banister or the plaster. The beige seat folds to just 11 inches, leaving enough clearance for Mrs. Perez's daughter to walk past on the stairs. She rides it every day and has not needed help on the stairs since the install.

Curved

90-degree curved rail in a High Street Victorian — brown seat at the upper landing

High Street, NJ Installed February 2026

A Victorian twin on High Street with an L-shaped staircase and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. The original ceiling medallion hung directly in the path of a standard rail. We laser-scanned the staircase, designed the curved rail to clear the medallion, and fabricated a single continuous track from the entry hall to the upstairs bedrooms. The brown seat matches the existing walnut woodwork. Mr. Wheeler's father rides it four times daily without giving the ceiling detail a second thought.

Hardwood-tread straight rail in a Mount Laurel colonial — Medicaid MLTSS funded

Mount Laurel, NJ Installed January 2026

A colonial in Mount Laurel with a straight staircase and hardwood treads from the front hall to the second floor. Mrs. Barnes had been sleeping in the recliner for three months after hip replacement surgery because the stairs felt too risky. NJ Medicaid MLTSS covered the full cost through her managed care organization. The brown-upholstered seat mounts to a slim-profile rail bolted into the hardwood treads. She rode it to her bedroom the evening of the install and has slept upstairs every night since.

Outdoor

Outdoor rail on a brick front stoop in Burlington City — freeze-proof hardware

Burlington City, NJ Installed December 2025

A brick colonial in Burlington City with a six-step front stoop that ices over every South Jersey winter. Mr. Rodriguez slipped on the top step in December and his daughter insisted on a permanent solution. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the base of the stoop beside the front garden. The freeze-proof battery and galvanized rail hardware have handled two nor'easters this winter without a single failure. Every component is rated for New Jersey's freeze-thaw cycles and the Delaware River humidity.

Carpeted stairs in a Burlington Township bi-level — swivel seat, VA funded

Burlington Township, NJ Installed November 2025

A bi-level home in Burlington Township with carpeted stairs and a standard 36-inch-wide staircase. Mr. Jackson is a veteran whose knees deteriorated after years of service. The Philadelphia VA approved his HISA grant for the full $6,800. We installed a straight rail with a powered swivel at the upper landing so he steps off onto the hallway floor instead of balancing on the top tread. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath. He rides it every morning and every night without strain.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform lift in Willingboro — JACC program funded

Willingboro, NJ Installed October 2025

A two-story home in Willingboro where Mr. Coleman uses a power wheelchair full-time after a stroke. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout. The JACC program through Burlington County Board of Social Services covered the monthly cost. He rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Burlington Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Burlington, NJ right now?

Straight rails in standard Burlington homes run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails — needed for Victorian L-shaped staircases and High Street turns — run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured. Outdoor models with freeze-proof hardware run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are stairlift prices different in Burlington County than across the river in Pennsylvania?

Equipment prices are identical on both sides of the Delaware. We do not adjust quotes based on zip code or state line. Burlington County families do benefit from New Jersey-specific funding that is often more generous than Pennsylvania — NJ Medicaid MLTSS covers stairlifts, the JACC program provides up to $1,090 per month for home services, and the Philadelphia VA processes HISA grants for South Jersey veterans.

Do older Victorian rowhouses cost more to equip than newer construction?

The compact-profile rail fits staircases as narrow as 26 inches, which covers the vast majority of Burlington's older rowhouses. Narrow stairs do not increase the equipment price. Occasionally the century-old treads need a backing plate to distribute the bolt load, which adds $50 to $100 in hardware. We tell you at the assessment, not on install day.

Is there a price difference between the steep-pitch rail and the standard rail?

No. The adjustable-angle mount is part of our standard kit on every Burlington assessment — we need it roughly one in four installs because many pre-war rowhouses have staircase pitches steeper than modern code. No extra charge. If the pitch exceeds the mount range, which is extremely rare, we tell you at the assessment and suggest alternatives.

A word from Luis

Burlington sits right on the Delaware River — old Victorian twins along High Street, pre-war rowhouses near the waterfront, and newer construction spreading east toward Mount Laurel and Evesham. The housing stock is older than most of South Jersey, and the stairs match: narrow, steep, original woodwork that families want to keep intact.

I drive out within 24 hours, measure your staircase with a laser, answer every question on the spot, and leave you a written quote honored for 30 days. No pressure. The Philadelphia VA is 30 minutes across the river and I have handled more HISA paperwork for Burlington County veterans than any other installer in the region.
