The VA's HISA (Home Improvements and Structural Alterations) grant covers structural changes like ramps and widened doorways, up to $6,800 for service-connected conditions or $2,000 for non-service-connected, but HISA specifically excludes the stairlift itself. The lift is instead provided through the VA Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service once a VA clinician prescribes it as medically necessary, and veterans receiving Aid & Attendance pension can put that monthly benefit toward the cost. The closest VA facility for Delran-area veterans is the Burlington County VA Clinic in Marlton (844-441-5499), with the Corporal Michael J.
