Stairlift Service Across Bucks County

Bucks County, PA

From the Cornwells Heights and Eddington grid — post-war Cape Cods and 1960s split-levels with the classic half-landing turn that only a curved rail can handle — to the 1970s colonials along Street Road where the straight-run interior stair is the most common install we do in the township. In Andalusia, near the Delaware, narrow rowhouse-style stairs require a slim-profile rail to preserve passage room. Trevose developments have wide post-1990 stairs that go in under three hours, while Oakford and Bridgewater properties sit on the rural edge with more space but older construction. We also cover Bristol, Levittown, Langhorne, Warminster, and Northeast Philly across the county line — so you never wait on a tech driving from Center City.

1975 colonial off Street Road — slim-profile rail on original carpeted treads

Bensalem (Street Road corridor), PA Installed March 2026

A 1975 four-bedroom colonial on a cul-de-sac off Street Road — the most common house type in central Bensalem. Fourteen carpeted treads, straight run, original oak banister that the family refused to touch. Mrs. Kowalczyk had not been upstairs to the bedroom since her knee replacement three months earlier. We bolted the rail into the treads on the banister side, color-matched the hardware to the stained oak, and parked the chair flush against the upper hallway wall. She rode upstairs, sat in her own bed, and called her daughter in Cherry Hill to say she was home again.

1963 Cornwells Heights split-level — curved rail through the mid-landing turn

Cornwells Heights, PA Installed February 2026

A 1963 split-level in Cornwells Heights — six steps from the foyer to the living room, a 90-degree mid-landing, then eight more steps to the bedrooms. The exact staircase that defines Bensalem's post-war housing. Mrs. Petrov's son had called three companies before us; two said she'd need two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail that carries her from the front door to the upper hallway in one continuous ride, and added a swivel-exit seat so she steps off onto the bedroom hallway floor. The foundation had settled about a quarter-inch over 60 years — we shimmed the rail brackets to compensate.

1952 Eddington Cape Cod — compact stair with stone-tile treads and cottage charm

Eddington, PA Installed January 2026

A 1952 Cape Cod in Eddington with the classic steep, narrow stair to the second-floor dormer bedrooms — eleven treads with original stone-tile risers and a wooden sideboard at the base that the family wanted to keep in place. Mr. DiNardo, a Korean War-era veteran, had been sleeping on the living room couch since Thanksgiving because he couldn't face the climb. We spec'd the slim-profile rail to fit the compact space, mounted it tight against the wall side so the sideboard and potted plant stay untouched, and prefilled his VA HISA paperwork through the Crescenz VA in Philadelphia. He was back in his own bed by the end of January.

Trevose raised porch entry — weather-sealed lift on stone-paved front steps

Trevose, PA Installed December 2025

A post-war home in Trevose with a raised front porch — five stone-paved steps from the driveway to the front door, fully exposed to Delaware Valley weather. Mr. Park's mother had moved in after a stroke and the family needed safe access before she came home from Moss Rehab. We installed a weather-sealed cream outdoor seat on galvanized brackets, anchored into the stone paving at the base and the porch landing at the top. The sealed IP55 motor housing and cold-weather battery handle Bucks County freeze-thaw without a service call. Consultation was conducted in Korean with the family's son interpreting.

Andalusia colonial — straight rail on carpeted stairs with landing

Andalusia, PA Installed November 2025

A 1960s colonial in Andalusia with wall-to-wall carpeted stairs — twelve treads covered in brown carpet running from a tiled foyer up to the second-floor landing. Mr. Santiago, a Vietnam veteran, had been gripping the wall-mounted light switches for balance on every trip up. We bolted the straight rail directly through the carpet into the tread wood, matched the brown upholstery to the carpet tone so the seat blends in when parked at the landing, and prefilled his VA HISA paperwork through the Crescenz VA. The carpet was not cut or damaged — the brackets sit flush against the tread nosing.

Platform Lift

Hulmeville Road colonial — inclined wheelchair platform for post-surgery recovery

Bensalem (Hulmeville Road area), PA Installed October 2025

A 1978 colonial near Hulmeville Road where Mr. Chen was recovering from bilateral knee replacement surgery at Aria-Jefferson Bucks. He could not transfer from wheelchair to seat safely, so a standard seated stairlift was not an option. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift — a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white handrail — on the indoor stairway between the main floor and the upstairs bedrooms. Mr. Chen rolls his wheelchair directly onto the platform, locks the brakes, and rides between floors without ever leaving the chair. The Chens' daughter in Doylestown joined the assessment on FaceTime.

Common Questions

Everything Bensalem Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Bensalem right now?

Straight rails in standard Bensalem homes — the two-story colonials along Street Road, the Cape Cods in Cornwells Heights, the newer townhouses near Trevose — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most 1960s split-levels in Eddington and Cornwells Heights where a half-landing turn makes a straight rail impossible, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for raised entries and front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Bensalem prices different from Philadelphia or the rest of Bucks County?

Equipment prices are identical across the region — we don't inflate quotes for one zip code over another. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: shimming rail brackets to compensate for foundation settling in the older Cornwells Heights and Eddington houses, curved-rail fabrication for split-level landing turns, or cold-weather outdoor hardware for a raised entry exposed to Delaware Valley winter. We quote every line item upfront. No surprise premiums.

Do you charge extra for non-English consultations?

No. Bensalem is one of the most ethnically diverse townships in Bucks County — 26.5% of households speak a language other than English at home. Every assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request. For Russian, Korean, Vietnamese, and other languages spoken across the township, we bring a phone interpreter at our cost — never yours. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for 55+ community or condo installs?

Our quote includes the HOA or condo-association paperwork we handle for you. We've worked with Salem Manor, Bensalem Veterans Residences, and several 55+ communities throughout the township — the reasonable-accommodation letters are already templated. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer's letter or a formal architectural review. If that happens, we tell you before we start — not after.

A word from Luis

The split-levels in Cornwells Heights and Eddington are the install I know best — six steps up, a 90-degree landing, eight more to the bedrooms. Two other companies will tell the family they need two separate lifts. They don't. A single curved rail, laser-scanned to the exact geometry, carries someone from the foyer to the upper hallway in one ride. I've done that install more times in Bensalem than anywhere else in Bucks County.

What I tell every family: the stairlift doesn't change your house. It changes whether your parent sleeps in their own bed tonight or on the living room couch again. That's the only question that matters. Call me, I'll be at your door inside 24 hours, and the quote I write is good for 30 days. En español si lo prefiere.
