Stairlift Service Across Burlington County

Burlington County, NJ

Mount Holly spans three centuries of housing. The Historic District along High and Mill Streets holds Federal and Victorian homes from 1790–1890 — narrow stairwells, steep risers, and tight landings are the rule here. Neighborhoods like Laurie Village and Valley View have mid-century split-levels and colonials where straight stairs sit above ground-level entries. Olde Mill Village off the Mill Race holds 1990s townhomes with finished basements, and Deerwood Country Club offers wider treads in newer builds near the Westampton line. About 20 miles from Philadelphia, the township draws commuters and retirees staying near grandchildren.

1840s Federal Row House — Dark Oak Treads, Mill Street Historic District

Historic District, NJ Installed March 2026

The Petersons live in a circa-1840 Federal row house on Mill Street. Their staircase has original dark oak treads — steep and narrow by modern code. We bolted a straight rail to the treads, no wall work needed. The cream seat parks at the bottom landing beside a narrow entry hall. Install took just over 3 hours from arrival to final test run.

Modern Colonial — 90° Turn at Upper Landing, Mountain View

Mountain View, NJ Installed January 2026

The Kowalskis' Colonial in Mountain View had a staircase that turned 87 degrees — not 90 — at the upper landing, beside a half-wall under a chandelier. Luis laser-measured the exact turn and ordered a custom-bent rail. The brown seat parks at the top floor, fully off the landing walkway. Install ran 5 hours with zero wall damage.

Compact Cottage — Stone Treads, Mill Race Village

Mill Race Village, NJ Installed April 2026

The Riveras own a compact older cottage in Mill Race Village with stone/tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base. The staircase is tight — 30 inches wide — but the seat folds up to leave 17 inches of passing room. We mounted the rail on the tread edges using masonry-rated anchors. The brown seat tucks neatly beside the sideboard at the bottom landing.

Outdoor

Exterior Porch Entry — Stone Paving, Iron Works Park Area

Iron Works Park, NJ Installed October 2025

The Hendersons' porch entry has rough stone paving and five uneven steps leading to the front door. We installed a cream outdoor unit with marine-grade sealed connections and an IP55-rated motor enclosure. The lower bracket sits above the flood-study high-water line for the Rancocas Creek. The unit has handled Mount Holly's freeze-thaw cycles without a single fault.

1970s Split-Level — Carpeted Treads, Laurie Village

Laurie Village, NJ Installed February 2026

The Simmons' split-level in Laurie Village had a straight carpeted staircase with beige pile that matched the brown upholstery of the seat almost exactly. The staircase is standard-width with uniform 11-inch treads — a fast job. We bolted through the carpet into the wood sub-treads below. The lift was running by noon after a 9 a.m. start.

Platform Lift

Indoor Inclined Platform — Wheelchair User, Deerwood Country Club

Deerwood Country Club, NJ Installed November 2025

The Williams family needed a wheelchair-accessible solution in their Deerwood Country Club home. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with a flat black deck, yellow safety edges, and a white handrail along a straight staircase. The user rolls onto the platform, locks the chair, and rides up without transferring. The unit carries 600 lb and folds up when not in use.

Common Questions

Everything Mount Holly Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Mount Holly?

A straight stairlift in Mount Holly starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts start at $9,000 — the custom rail fabrication accounts for the difference. Outdoor units start at $4,000 with marine-grade weather sealing. Heavy-duty models rated for 600 lb start at $5,050. Every quote includes the assessment, installation, and the first-year service visit. Financing runs from $79/month. No hidden fees — we give you a firm number at the assessment, not a range.

Does the age of my Mount Holly home affect the price?

It can affect the install labor, but not the equipment cost. Historic District homes from the 1790s–1890s often have irregular tread depths and narrow landings that add measurement time — but the rail price does not change. Mid-century homes in Laurie Village or Valley View typically have uniform treads and go in faster. The assessment tells us everything. We have installed in Mount Holly homes from every era, including pre-1800 Federal brick townhouses on Mill Street.

Are there any hidden costs I should know about?

No. The price Luis quotes at the assessment is the price you pay. It covers the equipment, custom rail fabrication (for curved lifts), delivery, installation by our crew, cleanup, demonstration, and the first annual service. If your staircase needs a structural repair before we can mount the rail — which is rare — we tell you at the assessment and you handle that separately. Mount Holly's older homes occasionally have loose treads that need tightening first, but we point it out before we start.

How does Mount Holly pricing compare to nearby towns like Medford or Moorestown?

Same equipment, same pricing across Burlington County. A straight lift in Mount Holly costs the same as one in Medford, Lumberton, or Willingboro — $2,800 and up. The only variable is the install time, which runs 3–4 hours for most straight jobs regardless of town. Curved rails are priced per job based on the laser measurement, not the ZIP code. We do not charge a travel surcharge for any Burlington County town.

A word from Luis

Mount Holly is one of those towns where every house tells you something about when it was built. You walk into a Federal row house on Mill Street from 1810 and the staircase is practically a ladder — 9-inch treads, steep rise, and a turn at the landing that barely fits a shoulder. Those curved jobs take a laser measurement and about three weeks of fabrication. Then you go three blocks over to Laurie Village and it's a 1965 split-level with a wide straight staircase that we knock out in under three hours.

The Rancocas Creek runs right through town, so I always check the flood maps before quoting an outdoor install near Iron Works Park or down by the Mill Race. We use the marine-grade rail with sealed connections for those — no exposed steel, no corrosion from the damp. Most of my customers here are either in the Historic District trying to stay in a home their family has owned for generations, or they're retirees downsizing from the big colonials on the outskirts who want to keep using the upstairs.

The VA clinic is right over in Marlton on Lincoln Drive — about seven miles — and the Burlington County Office on Aging is on Rancocas Road. Between the HISA grant and JACC, a lot of Mount Holly families get their install fully covered. I walk every customer through the paperwork. Fifteen years in, I have yet to see a Mount Holly staircase we couldn't fit.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Mount Holly has staircases from three different centuries, and we have worked on all of them. Whether it's a 1790s Federal row house on Mill Street with a staircase that barely meets modern code, a 1960s Laurie Village split-level with a straight flight above the garage, or a newer Deerwood Country Club home with wide treads and open railings, our install crews know what they are walking into before they arrive. The assessment is free, the measurement takes about an hour, and we do not leave until the lift runs through three full cycles with you watching.

Call our Mount Holly office or fill out the form on this page. Luis handles every assessment in Burlington County personally. He will measure your stairs, check the funding options that apply to your situation — HISA, JACC, NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports — and give you a firm price before you decide anything. Most straight-rail jobs in Mount Holly go in within a week of measurement. Curved rails take about three weeks to fabricate after the laser scan.
