Straight Stairlift

Most common · From $3,150

The standard for San Tan Valley's 2000s-era two-stories — Johnson Ranch to Copper Basin. Over 75% of the stairlifts we install in San Tan Valley are straight rails. The master-planned communities built between 2000 and 2015 share the same DNA: straight 13-to-15-foot runs, tile or carpet treads over concrete, standard-width stairwells. The rail bolts into the treads, the seat folds flat, and the high-temperature battery backup keeps you moving through summer power flickers.

Starting at $3,150 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls

Stairlift Service Across Pinal County

Pinal County, AZ

From Johnson Ranch — where late-1990s and early-2000s two-stories now have owners aging into their 70s — to Pecan Creek with its mature tree-lined streets and mixed floor plans. San Tan Heights and Copper Basin share the 2005-2010 construction boom's straight 13-foot staircases over concrete. Bella Vista Farms has wider-than-standard stairwells that fit a heavy-duty seat without trimming. Solera at Johnson Ranch's two-story models have a garage step qualifying for a short outdoor rail, and Ironwood Crossing builds include the landing turn requiring a curved rail. San Tan Valley is unincorporated Pinal County — no city building department. Permits go through Pinal County Development Services in Florence.

Straight

Johnson Ranch two-story — straight rail on oak-look LVP treads

Johnson Ranch, AZ Installed March 2026

A 2002 Pulte two-story in Johnson Ranch with engineered hardwood treads and a standard straight run from the foyer to the upstairs bedrooms. Mr. Dominguez had been sleeping on the living room couch for six weeks after a lumbar fusion at Banner Ironwood — his wife was done watching him try to get comfortable on the sectional. We measured on Monday morning, came back Wednesday with the rail, and had him riding upstairs to his own bed by noon. The tile-to-hardwood transition at the bottom tread needed a custom bracket to sit flush, which we fabricated on-site in about 20 minutes. His daughter called the following week to ask about a unit for her mother-in-law's place in Queen Creek.

Pecan Creek home — curved rail around an upper-landing turn

Pecan Creek, AZ Installed February 2026

A 2004 two-story in Pecan Creek with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing — the kind of floor plan where a straight rail dies at the wall and you'd have to stand up, shuffle around the corner, and sit back down on a second rail. Mrs. Kowalski has rheumatoid arthritis in both knees and that transfer was not happening. We laser-scanned the staircase during the first visit, sent the profile to fabrication, and 12 days later installed a single continuous curved rail that carries her from the foyer tile to the hallway carpet in one ride. The swivel-exit seat at the top lets her step off directly onto the landing instead of the top tread.

Copper Basin entry — straight rail on stone-accent cottage-style treads

Copper Basin, AZ Installed January 2026

A 2007 Copper Basin home with the decorative stone-accented entry staircase that several builders used in that subdivision — stone veneer on the risers, textured tile on the treads, wrought-iron spindles. The stone veneer is cosmetic, not structural, so we bolted entirely through the tile treads into the concrete substructure beneath. Every bracket was shimmed to sit perfectly flat on the textured tile surface. Mr. Tran had been using the downstairs guest room since his hip replacement at Banner Gateway — his wife wanted the master bedroom back. We installed on a Friday morning and he rode upstairs for the first time that afternoon. The wrought-iron banister on the opposite wall was never touched.

San Tan Heights porch — outdoor lift on stone-paver entry steps

San Tan Heights, AZ Installed December 2025

A 2006 San Tan Heights home with a raised front entry — six stone-paver steps from the driveway to the front door, fully exposed to the Arizona sun on a south-facing elevation. Mrs. Martinez's mother moved in after a fall at her apartment in Mesa and could not manage the front steps with her walker. The entry faces due south, meaning direct sun exposure for eight-plus hours a day in summer. We specified UV-stable seat fabric, stainless fasteners rated for the thermal cycling that cracks standard zinc in two Arizona summers, and a dust-sealed motor housing. The rail has been through one full monsoon season and two 115-degree weeks without a service call.

Solera at Johnson Ranch — straight rail on carpeted stairs in a 55+ home

Solera at Johnson Ranch, AZ Installed November 2025

Most Solera homes are single-story, but Mr. Brennan bought one of the two-story floor plans when Del Webb was still building in 2008 — a bonus room upstairs that became his office, his reading room, and eventually the room he stopped using after a knee replacement. Carpeted treads, straight run, standard width. We submitted the HOA reasonable-accommodation letter (we have the Solera board's template on file), got approval in four days, and installed the following week. The carpet padding actually makes for a quieter ride than tile — Mr. Brennan said it was the smoothest elevator he'd ever been in. He's back upstairs every morning with his coffee and his newspaper.

Platform Lift

Bella Vista Farms — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Bella Vista Farms, AZ Installed October 2025

Mr. Patel is a full-time wheelchair user after a spinal cord injury sustained during his service at Fort Huachuca. His wife found the two-story Bella Vista Farms home they wanted but the staircase ruled out a standard seated stairlift — he needed to ride in his chair. We installed an indoor vertical platform lift adjacent to the main staircase with high-visibility yellow safety edges on the platform perimeter, an automatic gate at each level, and a keyed lockout so the grandchildren can't operate it unsupervised. The HISA grant through the Southern Arizona VA covered the majority of the cost. The platform is rated to 750 lbs — chair plus occupant plus the bag of tools Mr. Patel insists on carrying upstairs every time.

Common Questions

Everything San Tan Valley Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in San Tan Valley right now?

Straight rails — which cover about 75% of the two-story homes across Johnson Ranch, Pecan Creek, San Tan Heights, and Copper Basin — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for floor plans with a 90-degree landing turn run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and first service visit.

Are the newer San Tan Valley homes cheaper to install in than older Phoenix-area houses?

Generally yes, and measurably so. The 2000s-era master-planned construction across San Tan Valley means straight runs, level concrete-backed treads, standard stairwell widths, and a 120V outlet already within reach of the base. No knob-and-tube wiring, no foundation settlement, no century-old banister preservation. That consistency shaves about an hour off a typical install compared to a 1950s central Phoenix home, and the labor savings show up in the final number.

Do you charge a travel fee for San Tan Valley?

No. We cover the entire Phoenix metro, Queen Creek, and Pinal County corridor with zero travel fees. San Tan Valley is on our regular route through the east Valley — we're often out here two or three days a week. The free assessment, the install, and the first-year service visits are all included at the same price a Scottsdale or Chandler homeowner pays.

Does the quote include the Arizona high-heat modifications?

Yes. Every San Tan Valley install ships with high-temperature synthetic lubricant rated to 125°F, a sealed gear housing for monsoon dust, and UV-stable seat fabric if any part of the rail is exposed to sunlight through a window or skylight. These are standard on every Arizona install — not add-ons. The quote you see is the price you pay.
