Stairlift Service Across Maricopa County

Maricopa County, AZ

From the lakefront two-stories of Val Vista Lakes — Gilbert’s first master-planned community, built in the early 1990s with tile stairs and floor plans that assumed the owners would be 35 forever — to the newer tracts of Morrison Ranch and Seville, where 2005–2010 construction means wider stairs but homeowners already in their late 50s, our team has measured staircases in every Gilbert subdivision. We know which Power Ranch floor plans have the L-shaped staircase requiring a curved rail, which Agritopia townhome-style homes need compact-profile seats, and which Heritage District pre-1990 homes along Gilbert Road have narrower treads and occasional split-level geometry. We also serve Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, and Sun Lakes.

Val Vista Lakes two-story — straight rail on tile-over-concrete treads

Val Vista Lakes, AZ Installed March 2026

A 1994 Val Vista Lakes two-story where the original buyers are now in their early 70s and the 14 tile stairs had become a twice-daily negotiation. Mrs. Wheeler’s son called from California after she mentioned she’d been sleeping on the couch for a month. We drilled through the tile, anchored into the concrete beneath, and bolted a straight rail to the treads with the seat parked at the bottom landing. The warm hardwood-toned banister is untouched. The heat-rated motor handles the attic-adjacent stairwell without throttling, and she was riding before lunch.

Power Ranch L-shaped staircase — curved rail with 90-degree bend at upper landing

Power Ranch, AZ Installed February 2026

A 2003 Power Ranch home with the L-shaped staircase and 90° mid-landing turn that’s standard in this community’s most popular floor plan. Mr. Nguyen’s mother moved in from Vietnam and the stairs were her biggest daily obstacle. We laser-scanned the geometry, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and parked the brown-upholstered seat at the top floor where she steps off directly onto the hallway. A chandelier lights the upscale open foyer below. One smooth ride from the family room to her bedroom — no standing mid-staircase, no transfers.

Heritage District cottage — straight rail on stone-tile treads in a compact stairway

Heritage District, AZ Installed January 2026

One of the older homes along Gilbert Road — built in the mid-1980s before the master-planned communities took over — with stone-tile treads and a compact stairwell tighter than anything in Seville or Power Ranch. Mrs. Randolph is 81 and has lived here since the house was new. The straight rail bolts into the stone substrate, and the brown-upholstered seat parks at the bottom next to a wooden sideboard the family insisted on keeping. The cozy traditional stairway feels the same as it always has — just safer.

Morrison Ranch — outdoor lift on stone-paved front entry steps

Morrison Ranch, AZ Installed December 2025

A 2007 Morrison Ranch home with five stone-paved steps from the driveway up to the raised front entry porch — the only covered entrance. Mr. Kapoor’s mother uses a cane after hip surgery and the rough natural stone became treacherous during monsoon rains. We installed an outdoor rail with UV-coated cream seat, dust-sealed motor housing, and a weather cover for the Arizona sun. The stone paving and covered porch remain untouched. She rides from the driveway to the front door without navigating a single step.

Seville two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs with swivel-exit seat

Seville, AZ Installed November 2025

A 2008 Seville home with 14 carpet-covered stairs between the main level and the bedrooms. Mrs. Thornberg assumed her house was ‘too new’ for a stairlift, but her orthopedist disagreed after the second fall. We bolted a straight rail through the carpet into the wood-frame treads, matched the brown upholstery to the carpet tones, and added a swivel-exit seat at the upper landing so she steps off onto the hallway tile instead of the top carpeted tread. The fold-up footrest keeps the stairway clear for her visiting grandchildren.

Platform Lift

Agritopia — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Agritopia, AZ Installed October 2025

An Agritopia townhome-style home where four steps between the garage entry and the kitchen became impossible after Mr. Castellano’s spinal cord injury left him in a power wheelchair. A standard seated stairlift was not an option — he cannot transfer out of the chair safely. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform, high-visibility yellow safety edges around the perimeter, and interlocked gates at both levels. The orange-toned entry walls and natural light from the window remain untouched. Mr. Castellano rolls on from the garage, presses one button, and rolls off into his kitchen. No transfers, no standing, no risk.

Common Questions

Everything Gilbert Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Gilbert right now?

Straight rails in standard Gilbert two-stories — the Val Vista Lakes tile stairs, the Power Ranch open foyers, the Seville and Morrison Ranch tracts — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for Power Ranch homes with mid-landing turns and Heritage District split-levels run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and garage transitions run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

My house is only 15 years old. Do I really need a stairlift?

Building age has nothing to do with stair risk — fall physics do. A fall on 2008 tile-over-concrete stairs is exactly as dangerous as a fall on 1950s hardwood. The tile is actually harder on impact. If you or a family member is avoiding the stairs, using a handrail with both hands, or has fallen once already, the staircase is the problem regardless of when the house was built.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering in this heat?

For straight staircases, a certified refurbished unit can save 30-40% — we carry factory-reconditioned straight rails with new upholstery, new batteries, and a 2-year warranty. Every refurbished unit ships with the Arizona heat-spec package. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never an option. Ask during the assessment.

Does the HOA need to approve this?

For interior installs, most Gilbert HOAs don’t require approval because the lift isn’t visible from outside. For exterior installs — garage entries, front porches — some HOAs require Architectural Review Committee (ARC) submission. Federal Fair Housing Act and Arizona’s ARS § 41-1491 require HOAs to grant reasonable accommodations for documented disabilities. We know the ARC process for the major Gilbert communities and handle the submission at no charge.

A word from Luis

Most Gilbert families call me after the two-story house they raised their kids in becomes a problem — a parent-in-law who moved in after COVID and can’t manage the Seville stairs, a homeowner who stopped going upstairs after hip surgery, a daughter worried about her parents aging in a Power Ranch home they built in 2003 and never planned to leave.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
