A house in the historic district near the Ruggles House might have a narrow, steep original staircase that needs a careful measure before we even talk rail, since those old stairs weren't built to modern tread standards. Out in Anthem, it's almost always single-story or a wide, gentle staircase in a newer Del Webb floor plan, which is a more straightforward run. The Gila River runs along the south edge of town, and Florence has flooded before. The 1900s flood that wiped out Adamsville nearby is local history people still bring up, so for any exterior unit near the river side of town I make sure the base plate sits above where water's pooled in past storms.
A stairlift in Florence should match the house you actually live in, not a catalog photo of a Phoenix tract home. If you are in Anthem at Merrill Ranch or Magma Ranch, your install is usually standard and fast. If you are in the historic core, expect a custom rail because the original builder in 1892 did not have a chairlift in mind.
