Stairlift Service Across Sacramento County

Sacramento County, CA

Rosemont sits between Folsom Boulevard to the north and Jackson Highway to the south, with Watt Avenue forming the western edge and Bradshaw Road the eastern boundary. The community splits naturally into Rosemont North and Rosemont South, with Kiefer Boulevard running roughly along the dividing line. South of Kiefer, the homes in Arbor Pointe and the streets off Mayhew Road trend toward larger lots and two-story layouts — curved-rail installs are common here where stairs have a landing turn. North of Kiefer, Aspen Village and the area around Rosemont Community Park are denser, with compact ranchers where a straight 12-foot rail handles most staircases.

Straight Rail on Oak Treads in Rosemont South

Rosemont South, CA Installed March 2026

The Nakamuras' 1964 rancher off Rosemont Drive has original oak treads — 12 steps from the living room to the bedrooms. Mr. Nakamura, 78, had been sleeping on a fold-out couch downstairs for four months after knee surgery. The straight rail bolted directly into the oak in 3 hours. The beige seat parks at the bottom landing, tucked against the wall so the hallway stays open. Mrs. Nakamura said the first thing her husband did was climb up to his own bed and take a nap.

Curved Rail at Upper Landing in College Greens

College Greens, CA Installed January 2026

The Delgados' split-level near the American River Parkway has a 90-degree turn at the upper landing, wrapping around a half-wall beneath a chandelier. Luis laser-measured the turn radius in 20 minutes. The custom-bent rail arrived two weeks later and the crew installed it in under 6 hours. The brown seat parks at the top floor, barely visible from the entryway. Mrs. Delgado, who has rheumatoid arthritis, now reaches her bedroom and bathroom without help for the first time in two years.

Compact Straight Rail on Tile Treads in Arbor Pointe

Arbor Pointe, CA Installed February 2026

The Simmons' 1972 home in Arbor Pointe has stone-tile treads — 10 steps in a narrow stairwell next to a wooden sideboard. The compact Bruno straight rail fit the 30-inch stair width with room to walk beside it. The brown seat sits at the bottom near the sideboard, and the rail follows the wall line without blocking the hallway. Mr. Simmons, a retired Caltrans worker with neuropathy, uses the lift 6 to 8 times a day to get to his home office upstairs.

Outdoor Porch Lift on Stone Paving in Lincoln Village

Lincoln Village, CA Installed May 2025

The Crawfords' front porch has 8 rough-stone steps from the walkway — no handrail, uneven risers from the original 1961 build. The outdoor lift uses a marine-grade 316 stainless rail and an IP55-sealed motor. Luis installed it on a sunny May morning. The cream seat faces the street, and the UV-stabilized cover has held up through two full Sacramento summers. Mrs. Crawford, 82, uses it daily to get to her garden without navigating the uneven stone steps she fell on last spring.

Carpeted-Stair Straight Rail in Aspen Village

Aspen Village, CA Installed April 2026

The Okonkwos' rancher in Aspen Village has wall-to-wall beige carpet on 11 steps — the carpet matches the stairlift seat upholstery almost exactly. The rail bolts through the carpet into the fir treads beneath, leaving no carpet damage. Install took 3 hours. The brown seat sits at the tiled bottom landing. Mr. Okonkwo, a retired SMUD lineman recovering from a stroke, uses the lift to reach the upstairs bathroom at night without waking his wife to spot him on the stairs.

Platform Lift

Indoor Wheelchair Platform Lift on Manlove Road

Manlove, CA Installed November 2025

The Reyes family's two-story home off Manlove Road needed a solution for their son, who uses a wheelchair full-time. The inclined platform lift has a flat black deck with yellow safety edges and carries 600 pounds — enough for the wheelchair, their son, and a caregiver if needed. The rail runs the full 14-foot stair length indoors, with a white handrail alongside. Install took 6 hours on the 1968 fir treads. The family had not been able to access their upstairs together in four years.

Common Questions

Everything Rosemont Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Rosemont?

A straight indoor stairlift in Rosemont starts at $2,800 installed. That covers the rail, seat, installation, and the 4Ah battery backup. Curved lifts — needed for split-levels in Arbor Pointe or College Greens where stairs have a 90-degree turn — start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-bent to your exact measurements. Outdoor lifts for porch entries start at $4,000 and include marine-grade weather sealing. Heavy-duty units rated to 600 pounds start at $5,050. All prices include the home assessment, installation, and a 5-year warranty plus a lifetime rail warranty. Financing starts at $79 a month.

Does the price change for split-level stairs common in Rosemont?

Yes. A split-level home — the kind you see throughout Rosemont North and South built between 1965 and 1975 — usually has a staircase that goes up 6-8 steps to a landing, turns 90 degrees, then continues another 6-8 steps. That turn requires a curved rail, which pushes the price from $2,800 (straight) to $9,000 and up. During the free home assessment, Luis measures the turn precisely with a digital laser. The rail is factory-bent to those measurements and arrives ready to bolt on. No two curved rails are identical.

Are there ongoing maintenance costs for a stairlift in Rosemont?

Routine maintenance is minimal. The DC motor and battery pack are sealed units — no lubrication needed. We recommend wiping the rail with a dry cloth once a month to keep dust and pet hair from building up, especially during Sacramento's dry summer months when fine particulate from the Delta breeze settles indoors. The battery charges automatically when the lift is parked. Outside of an annual check ($150), there are no recurring costs. The 5-year warranty covers parts and labor.

Do you offer financing for Rosemont residents?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 a month through a third-party provider. We run the application during the home assessment — it takes about 10 minutes, and most applicants get an answer the same day. There is no prepayment penalty. About half of our Rosemont customers use financing, and the other half either pay upfront or use a grant (HISA for veterans, Medi-Cal HCBA waiver for eligible residents). The financing option has no income cap and no minimum credit score.

A word from Luis

"I've done more installs in Rosemont than any other community in Sacramento County. The housing stock here tells a clear story — most homes went up between 1959 and 1975, so you see a lot of single-level ranchers and split-levels where the stairs are only 10 to 14 steps. That makes a straight rail the right answer maybe 75% of the time. But we also get calls from College Greens and Arbor Pointe where split-level stairs have a 90-degree turn at the landing — those need a custom curved rail. The Mather VA facility is just 5 miles down Highway 50, so about a third of our Rosemont installs involve the HISA grant. I walk veterans through the two-page application at the home assessment."

"The thing about Rosemont is that the homes are solid — wood-frame construction from the Kennedy and Johnson eras, oak or fir treads on most interior stairs. They don't build them like that anymore. But those same stairs that were fine at 45 become the reason someone can't reach their bedroom at 75. The outdoor installs are different out here too — come July and August, it's 95°F and direct sun on a south-facing porch. We use marine-grade rail and UV-stabilized seat covers on every outdoor unit we put in. If your porch faces Kiefer Boulevard or Watt Avenue, factor in the dust from the road — we add an extra weather seal on those."

"One thing people don't expect: about 20% of the homes I see in Rosemont have already had a family member modify a doorway or add a ramp. These are practical families. They're not looking for a sales pitch. They want to know how many bolts, how many hours, and whether the power goes out, does the lift still run. Yes, it does — the 4Ah backup battery gives you about six hours of normal use after a blackout, which matters when SMUD shuts things down during a heat wave."

— Luis Ramírez, Rosemont
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Rosemont's housing stock — mostly built between 1959 and 1975 — makes it one of the most straightforward communities in Sacramento County for stairlift work. The single-story ranchers need short straight rails. The split-levels need a rail with one turn. Every home we visit has real oak or fir treads that take a bolt mount cleanly without drywall damage. If you live off Kiefer Boulevard, Bradshaw Road, or in the Arbor Pointe subdivision, we can usually schedule your install within a week of the home assessment.

About a third of our Rosemont customers use the HISA grant through the Sacramento VA Medical Center in Mather — it covers the full cost for service-connected veterans. For everyone else, financing starts at $79 a month, and we walk you through Medi-Cal's HCBA waiver process if you qualify for the Environmental Accessibility Adaptations benefit. Call or fill out the form. Luis comes out, measures your stairs, and gives you a fixed number — no surprises.
