The workhorse of Rancho Cordova's two-story homes — from Anatolia tracts to Cordova Gardens ranches. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install in Rancho Cordova are straight rails. The rail bolts into your existing stair treads (never into the drywall, never into the banister), the seat and footrest fold flat against the wall, and the heat-rated battery backup carries you through a PG&E PSPS outage or a summer power failure. Most Anatolia and Sunridge two-story installs wrap in under four hours. Same-week install from the free assessment, CSLB-licensed under C-61/D-34.

Stairlift Service Across Sacramento County

Sacramento County, CA

The midcentury core west of Sunrise Boulevard is where most calls originate. Cordova Gardens and Lincoln Village are 1960s–1970s ranch neighborhoods with sunken family rooms that create the short half-flight stair runs we measure most often. Cordova Lane and Cordova Meadows share similar vintage and geometry. East of Sunrise, Anatolia and Sunridge Park are newer two-story communities with 14-tread straight runs and code-compliant stair widths — our fastest installs in the Sacramento metro. Along the American River Parkway, single-story homes on raised foundations need outdoor porch lifts with UV-stabilized components and heat-rated batteries for Sacramento Valley summers.

Anatolia two-story tract home — straight rail from tile foyer to upstairs bedrooms

Anatolia, CA Installed March 2026

A 2006 two-story stucco home in Anatolia, the master-planned community east of Sunrise Boulevard. Mrs. Pham, 76, came home from a hip replacement at Mercy San Juan and could not manage the 14 stairs from the tile foyer to the upstairs bedrooms where the master suite is. Her son called on a Monday; we measured Tuesday and installed Thursday. The rail bolts into the existing oak treads, the seat folds flat against the wall so the grandchildren still run up and down without noticing it, and the heat-rated battery is sized for the 110-degree July afternoons that push attic-adjacent stair temperatures past 140 degrees. Three hours, measured to walkthrough. Mrs. Pham slept in her own bed that night.

1968 Cordova Gardens ranch — curved rail around a sunken family room landing

Cordova Gardens, CA Installed February 2026

A 1968 ranch-style home in Cordova Gardens, one of the original midcentury neighborhoods built when Mather Air Force Base was still operational. The home has a short half-flight from the hallway down to a sunken family room with a 90-degree landing turn at the bottom — the kind of layout that was standard in Sacramento-area ranches of this era. Mr. Fedorenko, 82, is a retired Aerojet machinist who has lived in the house since 1971. A straight rail was geometrically impossible. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that rides the full run including the landing turn, and installed a swivel-exit seat so he steps off onto the family room carpet instead of balancing on the bottom tread. The original carpet was threadbare on the treads; we anchored through it into the wood stringers beneath.

Lincoln Village ranch — straight rail on a half-flight to the den

Lincoln Village, CA Installed January 2026

A 1972 ranch off Folsom Boulevard in Lincoln Village — a compact floor plan with a half-flight of six steps from the entry hall down to a den that doubles as the TV room. Sra. Delgado, 78, had been avoiding the den for months after a fall on the bottom step. Her daughter in Elk Grove called us on a Wednesday. Luis conducted the entire home assessment and user walkthrough in Spanish at the kitchen table. Standard straight rail, bolted into the existing wood treads, folding footrest so the visiting grandchildren still use the stairs normally. Two and a half hours, measured to walkthrough, Spanish-language operating manual left behind. Sra. Delgado was back in her recliner watching novelas that evening.

American River corridor — outdoor porch lift on a raised-foundation single-story

Cordova Gardens, CA Installed December 2025

A single-story 1965 ranch on the north side of Cordova Gardens, three blocks from the American River Parkway. The house sits on a raised foundation with seven concrete steps from the driveway to the front door. Mr. Nguyen, 80, had been entering through the garage for two years because the front steps were no longer safe. We anchored a straight outdoor rail through the existing concrete treads with stainless fasteners, added UV-stabilized components for the unshaded south-facing entry that takes direct Sacramento Valley sun from 10 a.m. through sunset in July, and sized the battery for a multi-hour PG&E PSPS outage. The rail has run through a full summer of 105-degree-plus heat without a service call. Mr. Nguyen uses his own front door again.

Sunridge Park two-story — pre-surgery install before a scheduled knee replacement

Sunridge Park, CA Installed November 2025

A 2008 two-story in Sunridge Park with a clean 13-tread straight run from the entry to the upper bedrooms. Mr. Wallace had a knee replacement scheduled at Mercy San Juan for the following month and his orthopedic surgeon recommended having the lift operational before he came home from the hospital. We measured on a Tuesday, installed on Friday — three hours, rail bolted into the existing treads, heat-rated battery, folding seat and footrest. Mr. Wallace rode it home from the front door 12 days later without ever touching the stairs. His physical therapist at the Mercy San Juan outpatient rehab on Coyle Avenue has since referred three more families in the same ZIP code.

Platform Lift

Mather veteran home — indoor wheelchair platform lift funded by VA HISA grant

Mather, CA Installed October 2025

A 1990s two-story townhome in the Mather community, less than two miles from the Sacramento VA Medical Center on Hospital Way. Mr. Harding is a Gulf War veteran with a service-connected spinal injury who uses a power wheelchair and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift on the 14-tread stairway — a flat anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges and white handrails on both sides. Mr. Harding rolls his wheelchair onto the platform at the ground floor, presses one button, and rides to the upper hallway. The full $6,800 VA HISA grant covered the installation. He rides it six to eight times a day and has referred two other wheelchair-using veterans at the Mather VA to our office.

Common Questions

Everything Rancho Cordova Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Rancho Cordova right now?

Straight rails inside a standard Rancho Cordova two-story — the Anatolia and Sunridge tract homes, the Lincoln Village ranches with an interior stair — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for 1960s and 1970s split-level ranches in Cordova Gardens and Cordova Meadows where a mid-landing turn makes a straight rail impossible run $9,000 to $15,000, because the rail is manufactured to your exact stair geometry. Outdoor porch lifts for single-story homes along the American River corridor run $4,500 to $8,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Anatolia than in Cordova Gardens or Lincoln Village?

Equipment prices are identical across every Rancho Cordova ZIP. We do not inflate quotes for a Sunridge Park address or discount for Lincoln Village. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual site conditions — a split-level landing turn in a 1970s Cordova Meadows ranch that requires a curved rail scan, a dedicated 120V circuit in an older home with aluminum wiring, or stainless anchoring into exterior concrete treads on a raised-foundation home along the river. Every line item appears on the written quote before you sign.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Our installer Luis is bilingual Spanish and English. Calls from Rancho Cordova, Mather, and the Folsom Boulevard corridor are conducted in Spanish on request at zero surcharge. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish, and the safety reference card mounted on the chair is printed in both languages.

Is the heat-rated hardware an upgrade I have to pay for?

No. Every Rancho Cordova install ships with high-temperature synthetic lubricant and a heat-rated battery as standard equipment because the Sacramento Valley climate demands it. Standard lubricants thin above 100°F and off-the-shelf lithium packs fail in stair cavities that reach 140°F by mid-afternoon in July. We also include a multi-hour battery reserve for PG&E PSPS outages at no extra charge. You pay the same price whether your home is in air-conditioned Anatolia or a non-AC stair cavity in a 1965 Cordova Gardens ranch.

A word from Luis

Most Rancho Cordova families call me after a near-miss on a carpeted staircase in a Cordova Gardens ranch or a two-story in Anatolia — a slip coming down from the bedrooms at 2 a.m., a parent who stopped going upstairs after a knee replacement at Mercy San Juan, a daughter in the Bay Area worried about her father in a Lincoln Village split-level he's owned since 1972.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, laser-measure the stairs once, and hand you a written quote honored for 30 days. No pressure, no upsells. CSLB-licensed under C-61/D-34 — verify us at cslb.ca.gov before you sign anything. En español si lo prefiere.
