Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Brazoria County

Brazoria County, TX

From the master-planned corridors west of Highway 288 — Shadow Creek Ranch's two-story brick colonials, Silverlake's neo-traditional streetscapes, and the newer builds in Sunrise Lakes — to the pre-boom pockets east of Main Street in Old Townsite where 1980s cottages still line Broadway, our team has measured staircases in every section of Pearland. We know which Shadow Creek Ranch subdivisions have the builder-standard 14-step oak-stained run that installs in three hours flat, which Silverlake floor plans have the 90-degree landing turn that requires a curved rail, and which Country Place and Southwyck split-levels have the garage-to-living-room rise that only a wheelchair platform lift solves. We also cover Brookside Village, Manvel, Friendswood, Fresno, and South Houston from the same local team.

Shadow Creek Ranch two-story colonial — straight rail on oak-stained treads

Shadow Creek Ranch, TX Installed March 2026

A 2006 two-story brick colonial in Shadow Creek Ranch with builder-grade oak-stained treads and a straight 14-step run from the foyer to the upstairs bedrooms. Mrs. Nguyen had a hip replacement at Memorial Hermann Pearland and her orthopedic surgeon cleared her for stair use only with a lift. Her daughter called on a Monday, we measured Tuesday afternoon, and the rail was bolted in by Thursday lunch. The treads were standard 11-inch depth with no irregularities — the kind of newer-construction staircase that installs clean and fast. We color-matched the rail brackets to the existing oak stain so the hardware blends with the treads rather than standing out against them. Mrs. Nguyen rode it home from her daughter's car the following week without touching a single step.

Silverlake neo-traditional — curved rail with 90-degree upper landing exit

Silverlake, TX Installed February 2026

A 1998 neo-traditional in Silverlake with a staircase that runs straight for 10 steps then turns 90 degrees at the upper landing before delivering you into a hallway. Mr. Patterson uses a walker after a stroke and could not safely make that upper turn on foot. Two other companies quoted him for two separate straight rails with a transfer at the landing — which defeats the purpose when the person using it cannot stand unassisted at the turn. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail that carries him from the foyer tile to the upstairs carpet in one continuous ride, and fitted a powered swivel seat at the top so he steps off directly onto the hallway floor. His wife said the first ride up was the first time he smiled about the house in six months.

Old Townsite cottage — straight rail on original stone-trimmed entry stairs

Old Townsite, TX Installed January 2026

A 1982 cottage in Pearland's Old Townsite district — one of the few pre-boom homes left near Broadway Street — with an interior staircase featuring stone-trimmed risers and narrow treads that the original builder clearly did not design with a 75-year-old woman in mind. Mrs. Delgado has lived in the house since her husband built the stone trim by hand in 1984. Moving was not on the table. The narrow tread depth meant we used a slim-profile rail to preserve walkable width on the open side, and we shimmed two brackets where 40 years of Gulf Coast humidity had warped the subflooring under the treads by about a quarter inch. She tested the ride before we packed up the tools and said it was smoother than the elevator at her doctor's office on Pearland Parkway.

Outdoor

Country Place raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor rail on stone paving

Country Place, TX Installed December 2025

A raised front porch in Country Place with seven stone-paved exterior steps and a wrought-iron railing that Mr. Williams installed himself in 2001. He is a Vietnam-era veteran enrolled at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston and qualified for a HISA grant covering $6,800 of the install cost. We prefilled VA Form 10-0103, his VA provider in Houston signed the prescription within three weeks, and we installed the outdoor rail the following Monday. The rail is sealed against Brazoria County humidity, UV-coated for the direct southern sun exposure that front porch gets from March through October, and fitted with the quick-release seat bracket that is now standard on every Gulf Coast outdoor install — the same bracket that saved dozens of lifts during Hurricane Beryl. Mr. Williams called it the best government paperwork experience of his life, which is a low bar but a real compliment.

Sunrise Lakes two-story — straight rail over plush carpet, three-hour install

Sunrise Lakes, TX Installed November 2025

A 2009 two-story in Sunrise Lakes with plush carpet on every tread and a standard 13-step straight run — the most common staircase layout in Pearland's post-2005 construction. Mr. Chen's cardiologist at Houston Methodist Pearland recommended limiting stair exertion after a cardiac event, and his daughter found us online the same afternoon. Carpeted treads require longer mounting bolts to compress through the pad and reach the structural subfloor underneath, which adds about 20 minutes to a standard install but changes nothing about ride quality or safety. We were done before lunch. The carpet shows no visible compression marks around the brackets, and Mr. Chen's daughter said her father now goes upstairs to his home office every morning instead of working from the couch.

Platform Lift

Southwyck split-level — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety edges

Southwyck, TX Installed October 2025

A 1990s split-level in Southwyck with a five-step rise between the garage-level entry and the main living floor — too short for a standard seated stairlift to make sense, but too many steps for Mr. Garcia to transfer from his wheelchair to a walker and back. The solution was an indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges on the platform perimeter, mounted against the wall alongside the existing half-flight. Mr. Garcia rolls his chair onto the platform, presses the control, and rides up to the main floor without ever leaving his wheelchair. His wife said they had been considering selling the house because of those five steps. The platform lift cost less than a single month of the assisted-living facility they had been touring. The yellow edge strips are a code requirement, not decoration — they mark the platform boundary for anyone with limited peripheral vision.

Common Questions

Everything Pearland Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Pearland right now?

Straight rails in Pearland's two-story construction — the brick colonials in Shadow Creek Ranch, the neo-traditionals in Silverlake, the newer builds in Sunrise Lakes — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for homes with landing turns, like many Silverlake and Country Place staircases, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor rails for raised porches run $4,000 to $7,500 with full Gulf Coast weather sealing. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Why are curved rails so much more expensive than straight?

A straight rail is a standard aluminum extrusion cut to length — the same part works in every house. A curved rail is manufactured for your specific staircase: we laser-scan the treads, the landing turn, and the upper exit point, then a CNC machine bends a single piece of rail to match your geometry within 2mm. That fabrication takes 10-14 days and the tooling cost is what drives the price. In Pearland, the most common curved installs are the 90-degree landing turns in Silverlake homes built in the late 1990s, where the builder put a half-landing between floors.

Do you charge more for homes further out in Brazoria County?

No travel fees anywhere in Brazoria County — Pearland, Manvel, Brookside Village, Alvin, Angleton, Lake Jackson. We staff a dedicated south-Houston corridor team so you are not waiting on a tech driving down from the Woodlands. Equipment pricing is the same regardless of address. The only variable is install labor for unusual conditions: warped subflooring in pre-1990 Old Townsite homes, or the extra 20 minutes for longer mounting bolts on thick carpet pads.

Is a wheelchair platform lift more expensive than a seated stairlift?

Yes. Indoor wheelchair platform lifts run $8,000 to $14,000 installed, depending on the vertical rise and whether the installation requires structural reinforcement. But for a household where the user cannot transfer from a wheelchair to a seated lift and back — the split-level entries common in Southwyck and older Country Place homes are the typical scenario — the platform lift is the only option that keeps someone in their home. We price it against the monthly cost of the assisted-living facility families are usually comparing it to.

A word from Luis

In Pearland, most calls start the same way: a grown child in Shadow Creek Ranch or Silverlake realizes the two-story brick colonial they helped their parents buy in 2004 now has a staircase nobody wants to climb. The house is paid off, the grandkids live ten minutes away, and moving is not the conversation anyone wants to have.

I drive out, measure the stairs, and leave you with a written price good for 30 days. No upsell. No bait-and-switch. If your parent served, I bring the HISA paperwork with me so we can start VA authorization that same visit. En español si lo prefiere.
