Stairlift Service Across Harris County

Harris County, TX

From the 1940s bungalows of Golden Acres — where homes sit on oversized lots with original concrete block construction — to the 1950s and 1960s ranch subdivisions along Spencer Highway between Burke Road and Shaver Street, where narrow stairwells and terrazzo-tread half-flights are the standard layout, our team has measured staircases across every Pasadena ZIP code. Red Bluff split-levels present 90-degree landing turns. Deepwater raised entries need outdoor lifts rated for Gulf Coast humidity. Parkwood ranches near the Deer Park border have deep-pile carpet over plywood treads. Sunset Terrace two-stories serve wheelchair users who need platform lifts, not seats.

1958 Golden Acres ranch — straight rail on original oak treads

Golden Acres, TX Installed March 2026

Mr. Garza had a double knee replacement at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in January and his daughter called us before he was discharged. We bolted a straight rail on the right side of the dark hardwood oak treads, the seat parked at the bottom landing by the front entry. The warm wood tones of the original 1958 open-tread staircase stayed fully intact.

Red Bluff split-level — curved rail carrying a 90-degree landing turn

Red Bluff, TX Installed February 2026

Mrs. Nguyen's mother had moved in after a stroke and was confined to the downstairs den because a straight rail could not handle the 90-degree turn. We laser-scanned the full staircase, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the upper-landing half-wall, and added a swivel-exit seat at the top so she steps off onto the hallway floor. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper landing near the framed art.

Spencer Highway cottage — straight rail on stone-trimmed treads

Spencer Highway corridor, TX Installed January 2026

A 1952 cottage-style home along the Spencer Highway corridor with original stone-trimmed treads on the interior staircase. We used masonry-rated anchors on the stone treads, ran the rail tight against the wall side, and positioned the brown-upholstered seat at the bottom next to the wooden sideboard. The compact space and traditional cottage feel stayed intact.

Deepwater raised entry — outdoor lift on original stone paving

Deepwater, TX Installed December 2025

A 1948 raised-entry home in the Deepwater section with seven exterior stone-paved steps from the driveway to the front door. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the base on rough natural stone paving, with a carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom. Mr. Wallace qualified for a VA HISA grant through the DeBakey VA Medical Center. IP55-sealed motor rated for Gulf Coast humidity.

Parkwood ranch — straight rail over deep-pile carpet

Parkwood, TX Installed November 2025

A 1972 ranch in the Parkwood subdivision near the Deer Park border with deep-pile carpet over plywood treads. We used compression-resistant spacer blocks under every bracket to prevent carpet settling under load. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones, parked at the landing with wall-mounted light switches nearby. Tiled floor at the bottom of the landing.

Sunset Terrace — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Sunset Terrace, TX Installed October 2025

A 1966 two-story in Sunset Terrace where Mr. Tran returned home from TIRR Memorial Hermann in a power wheelchair after a spinal cord injury. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform, bright yellow high-visibility safety edges, and white handrails. Common Questions

Everything Pasadena Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Pasadena, TX right now?

Straight rails in standard Pasadena homes — the 1950s ranches along Spencer Highway, the Golden Acres bungalows, the newer builds in Pine Brook — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level foyer entries in Red Bluff and Deepwater run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches and carport-to-entry steps run $4,000 to $7,500.

Are prices higher in Pasadena than other Houston-area cities?

Equipment prices are identical across Harris County — we do not mark up for ZIP code. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: compensating rail mounts for foundation-settled treads in pre-1960 Golden Acres homes, flood-zone bracket upgrades inside the FEMA 500-year floodplain, or wiring a dedicated circuit in a house with a 1950s panel that needs a licensed electrician.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Pasadena assessment can be conducted entirely in Spanish — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of families through every button and every line of paperwork in their preferred language. Printed quotes, consent forms, and operating manuals are all available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Is the quote I get on assessment day the final price?

Yes, unless your staircase has a condition we could not see from the initial measurement — active termite damage in the treads, a subfloor cavity behind the drywall, or a foundation shift greater than half an inch that only shows up under the laser. In 15+ years of Pasadena installs, fewer than 3% of quotes have changed after the first visit.

A word from Luis

Pasadena homeowners call me when the stairs in their 1950s ranch off Spencer Highway stop being optional — a hip replacement recovery, a parent who hasn't slept in the upstairs bedroom in months, a daughter in Austin who found out her father has been sleeping on the living room couch since February.

I drive out same-day from our Houston metro coverage area, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote honored for 30 days. No pressure, no gimmicks. En español si lo prefiere.
