Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Fort Bend County

Fort Bend County, TX

We install across the Fort Bend MUD 23 neighborhoods and the surrounding Fresno subdivisions. Teal Run is the original 1990s neighborhood — two-story brick homes with carpeted oak stair stringers and 36-inch treads, ideal for a straight rail. Estates of Teal Run and Teal Run North (2001) repeat the same footprint with slightly wider treads. Winfield Lakes (2004, on Trammel Fresno Road) has more two-story builds with a quarter-turn at the upper landing — often a short curved rail. Andover Farms, Charleston Heights, and Cambridge Falls are the newer infill developments. NewPoint Estates on Highway 6 has larger acreage homes where heavy-duty 600-lb units and outdoor porch lifts are more common requests.

Common Questions

Everything Fresno Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Fresno, TX?

A straight rail in a Teal Run or Winfield Lakes two-story starts at $2,800 installed. A curved rail for a quarter-turn upper landing in Andover Farms starts at $9,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated. Outdoor units for NewPoint Estates porches start at $4,000, heavy-duty (up to 600 lb) at $5,050.

Are there hidden fees beyond the quoted price?

No. Our Fresno, TX quote includes the lift, rail, installation labor, a 120V outlet if needed, haul-away of packaging, and a 5-year parts warranty plus lifetime rail warranty. Fort Bend County rarely requires permits for interior residential stairlifts; when it does, we pull them at no cost.

Does my Fort Bend County HOA need to approve a stairlift?

Interior stairlifts are not HOA-reviewable — they are inside your home. Exterior porch installs in Teal Run or Winfield Lakes may need HOA architectural approval; we submit the spec sheet and typical turnaround is 2-3 weeks. Under the Fair Housing Act (42 USC 3604(f)(3)(A)), an HOA cannot unreasonably deny a reasonable accommodation for a disability.

Is the unit covered by homeowners insurance in Fresno?

Texas homeowners policies do not cover medical-equipment stairlifts. Some Medicare Advantage plans and the Texas STAR+PLUS Medicaid waiver may cover the unit — see the funding section below.

A word from Luis

Fresno is Fort Bend County — do not confuse it with Fresno, California. The homes here are 1990s-2000s Houston-boom builds: two-story, 36-inch treads, carpeted stringers, split landings with a quarter-turn at the top. About 80% of the lifts I install in Teal Run and Winfield Lakes are straight rails; the rest are short curved rails around the upper-landing bend.

The real install factor here is Hurricane Harvey and the 2021 freeze. A lot of homes had slab settling and subfloor warping that left stair stringers slightly out of plumb. I shim the rail brackets to true the run before mounting — a 10-minute step that keeps the carriage gear from binding ten years from now.
