Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Harris County

Harris County, TX

We cover all of South Houston's compact grid. In the Avenue A core and the surrounding lettered Avenues, most homes are 1950s frame houses on pier-and-beam with narrow 32-to-36-inch straight stairs and original oak treads. The older blocks off Allen-Genoa Road settle unevenly over seven decades, so we re-shim rails to keep them true. Along the Spencer Highway corridor and toward the Genoa line on the east side, a handful of split-levels and second-story additions have a half-landing turn that needs a short custom curve. Closer to College Avenue and the original townsite, compact bungalows often need a fold-up seat to keep walking clearance for the rest of the household. We confirm width and tread material on every free assessment before quoting.

Common Questions

Everything South Houston Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in South Houston?

Straight models start at $2,800 installed, curved lifts from $9,000, outdoor units from $4,000, and heavy-duty models from $5,050. Every quote includes the in-home assessment, rail, seat, installation, and a 5-year warranty with a lifetime rail guarantee. We give a firm written price after measuring your stairs, with no hidden add-ons for older pier-and-beam homes.

Do you offer financing in South Houston?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 per month with approved credit, and there is no prepayment penalty. Many families pair financing with VA HISA or Texas STAR+PLUS funding so the out-of-pocket cost is small or nothing. We can lay out the monthly options during your free assessment.

Does the price change for older homes off the lettered Avenues?

No. Pier-and-beam foundations, narrow 1950s staircases, and worn oak treads do not carry an upcharge. The price is set by lift type and rail length, not by the age of the house. If your stairs have settled unevenly, we re-shim the rail at no extra cost to keep it level.

Why does a curved stairlift cost more than a straight one?

A curved rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase after a one-hour on-site laser measurement, then bent at the factory. A straight rail is cut from standard stock. That custom fabrication is the difference between the $2,800 straight starting price and the $9,000 curved starting price.

A word from Luis

South Houston is a tight little grid town, and that shapes the work. Most of the homes off the lettered Avenues and along Allen-Genoa Road are 1950s and '60s frame houses on pier-and-beam, with straight oak-tread runs of 14 to 16 feet. A straight rail bolts to those treads and we are usually done in about three hours.

The few split-levels and second-story add-ons near Spencer Highway and the Genoa line are where I bring out the laser measure for a short curve. And in the Gulf heat I always talk through outdoor units for the porch steps, because the real enemy here is sun and humidity, not anything fancy.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

South Houston families do not need to move out of a paid-off grid home just because the stairs got hard. A straight lift on those original oak treads usually goes in within a single morning, and most of our installs across the lettered Avenues are finished in about three hours with no wall damage.

Call Luis Ramírez at (800) 965-0350 for a free in-home assessment. We will measure your stairs, confirm the right lift for your home, and walk you through VA HISA and Texas STAR+PLUS funding before you commit to anything.
