Stairlift Service Across Cleveland County

Cleveland County, OK

The Oakridge-Southmoore corridor west of I-35 mixes 1970s brick ranches with post-2000 construction — many with split-level half-landings that demand a swivel-exit seat at the top. Broadmoore Heights and Royal Oaks carry the same era of ranch homes where a finished basement staircase becomes the access problem when the basement is the only walk-out to the yard. Briarwood’s post-2013 tornado rebuilds produced wider, code-current staircases that install in three hours flat — the fastest installs in the Moore market. Westmoore’s 1980s and 1990s subdivisions are dominated by two-story layouts where a curved rail through a landing turn is the most common order we write. Because Moore sits at the center of south OKC, we also handle steady volume from Newcastle to the west, Norman to the south, and Del City and Midwest City northeast along the Tinker AFB corridor.

Straight

Oakridge-Southmoore — straight rail on dark oak open-tread stairs

Oakridge-Southmoore, OK Installed January 2026

A 1985 brick ranch in Oakridge-Southmoore with dark oak open-tread stairs leading down to a finished basement that served as den, workshop, and the only walk-out to the backyard. Mr. Henderson had stopped going downstairs after knee surgery. We bolted a straight rail to the right side of the hardwood treads with the beige seat unfolded and parked at the bottom landing. The warm wood tones and open-tread design stayed fully visible — his daughter said he was back in the workshop the same afternoon.

Curved

Westmoore — curved rail through a 1978 split-level landing turn

Westmoore, OK Installed March 2026

A 1978 brick split-level in the Westmoore corridor with the layout every Moore installer knows: six steps from the foyer, a 90-degree landing turn, then eight more to the bedrooms. Mr. Ballard had been sleeping in a recliner for five months after a hip replacement. We laser-scanned the staircase and fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper floor landing, parking the brown-upholstered seat at the top where he steps off directly onto the hallway. He slept in his own bed that night for the first time since October.

Straight

Royal Oaks — compact straight rail in a cozy 1970s ranch

Royal Oaks, OK Installed December 2025

A 1974 brick ranch in Royal Oaks with stone-tile treads, a wooden sideboard against the wall at the bottom of the stairs, and a potted plant in the hallway. Mrs. Whitfield needed access to the bonus room upstairs but the compact staircase left little room for a wide-profile rail. We fitted a slim straight rail along the stone treads with the brown-upholstered seat parked at the bottom next to the sideboard. The cozy, traditional feel of the home is preserved — the rail blends into the warm cottage-style interior without dominating the space.

Outdoor

Country Place — outdoor entry lift on stone-paved porch steps

Country Place, OK Installed November 2025

A raised front porch in the Country Place subdivision with rough natural stone paving at the entry and seven exterior steps up to the front door. Mr. Nguyen’s mother moved in with the family after a stroke and could not manage the stone entry steps. We installed a weather-sealed cream-colored outdoor stairlift along the stone-paved porch with the seat at the entry level. The rail is UV-coated and impact-rated for Oklahoma storm season, and it ran through a June hailstorm and a July derecho without a service call.

Briarwood — straight rail on carpeted stairs in a post-tornado rebuild

Briarwood, OK Installed February 2026

A 2014 two-story rebuilt on the same Briarwood lot where the 2013 tornado took the original ranch down to the slab. The new home has wide, carpeted stairs with a small tiled landing at the bottom. Mrs. Garrett’s daughter scheduled the assessment after her mother tripped carrying laundry on the top step. We bolted a straight rail through the carpet into the treads beneath, with the brown-upholstered seat matching the carpet tones at the landing. The battery backup was the only line item the daughter asked about twice — she remembered 2013.

Platform Lift

Broadmoore Heights — indoor wheelchair platform lift for storm shelter access

Broadmoore Heights, OK Installed October 2025

A 1982 ranch in Broadmoore Heights where Mrs. Pryor, a wheelchair user, had been unable to reach the basement storm shelter for two years after a fall. During tornado warnings, she stayed on the ground floor alone while the family went downstairs. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform and yellow high-visibility safety edges along the indoor stairway. The white handrail guides the platform between floors. The next tornado warning that came through in April, she rode down with everyone else — no transfers out of her chair, no lifting, no assistance needed.

Common Questions

Everything Moore Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Moore right now?

Straight rails in standard Moore homes — the 1970s and 1980s brick ranches in Oakridge-Southmoore, the post-2014 rebuilds in Briarwood, the bonus-room basements in Broadmoore Heights — run $2,600 to $5,200 installed. Curved rails for split-level landing turns common in Westmoore and older Royal Oaks subdivisions run $8,800 to $14,800 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models with the full tornado-country spec — impact-rated housing, aluminum-finned heatsink, 25+ cycle battery — run $4,000 to $7,200. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is pricing the same in Moore as Oklahoma City proper?

Equipment pricing is identical across the entire OKC metro — Moore, Norman, Midwest City, Edmond, Nichols Hills. We do not charge a zip-code premium. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: post-tornado rebuild framing that is not plumb (more common than you would expect in the 2000-era Briarwood rebuilds), storm-shelter door clearance that requires a shorter folding footrest, and HOA submissions in gated communities south of SW 149th. Every line item is on the quote before you sign.

Do you offer a military or first-responder discount?

We do not discount the equipment — but we process VA HISA grants at no charge and waive the assessment fee for any active-duty, retired, or veteran household within 20 miles of Tinker AFB. More than 40 Moore-area veterans have used the HISA grant through our office. If you qualify for the full $6,800 service-connected HISA amount, a straight rail is often covered entirely. We walk you through the math during the free assessment.

Are there hidden fees for HOA communities?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. Under the federal Fair Housing Amendments Act, Oklahoma HOAs must approve reasonable accessibility modifications for disabled residents. We have templated submission packets for the gated communities along SE 89th, the Southmoore HOA associations, and the newer 55+ patio-home communities near I-35 and SW 19th. If an architectural review board requires its own engineer’s letter — rare — we tell you before starting, not after.

A word from Luis

Most Moore families call me after something has already gone wrong — a fall on the carpeted stairs during a February ice storm when the power was out and nobody could see the treads, a parent who stopped going upstairs to the master bedroom after a knee replacement, a daughter in Edmond worried about her father riding out tornado season alone in a split-level he’s lived in since 1972.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and hand you a written quote that’s good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
