Stairlift Service Across Broward County

Broward County, FL

From the 1990s CBS two-stories of Silver Lakes — where anchoring means drilling through hardwood or tile into concrete substrate — to the 2000s Mediterranean-style homes of Riviera Isles with grand foyer staircases and wrought-iron balustrades that curved rails must thread past, our team has installed in every major Miramar subdivision. We know which Sunset Lakes gated communities have HOA boards that approve fastest, which Huntington originals from the late 1980s have the ceramic tile treads that require diamond-tip drill bits, and which Harbour Lakes guard-gated homes have wider staircases that accommodate wheelchair platform lifts. In Miramar Park, raised front entries with stone-paver overlays are the standard outdoor install.

Silver Lakes two-story — straight rail on hardwood-over-concrete treads

Silver Lakes, FL Installed March 2026

A 1994 two-story CBS home in Silver Lakes with engineered hardwood over concrete stair treads — the standard Miramar construction where wood screws won't hold and you need concrete-rated anchors from the start. Mrs. Baptiste is 79, born in Port-au-Prince, and her daughter translated during the first phone call before learning Luis speaks Kreyòl basics. We drilled through the hardwood laminate into the concrete substrate, seated stainless Tapcon anchors, and mounted the straight rail from the tiled foyer to the second-floor landing. The seat folds flat against the wall so her grandchildren still run up and down without squeezing past.

Riviera Isles Mediterranean — curved rail past the wrought-iron balustrade

Riviera Isles, FL Installed February 2026

A 2004 Mediterranean-style home in Riviera Isles with a grand foyer staircase, decorative wrought-iron balustrade, and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing that made a straight rail impossible. Mr. Martínez had a double knee replacement at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood and needed the lift operational before his discharge date. We laser-scanned the staircase on a Friday, rushed fabrication to 11 days, and installed the curved rail with a powered swivel-exit seat at the upper landing the day before he came home. The rail threads past the wrought-iron spindles without contacting a single one.

Huntington subdivision — straight rail on tile-over-CBS stairs with stone accents

Huntington, FL Installed January 2026

A 1987 CBS two-story in the Huntington subdivision — one of Miramar's original developments — with ceramic tile treads and decorative stone accent risers that the homeowner installed himself in 2003. Mr. Desmond is 83 and a retired Miami-Dade firefighter who told us exactly how the concrete block walls were poured. We drilled through the tile into the concrete substrate without cracking a single tile, used Tapcon anchors rated for the load, and ran a straight rail from the living room level to the bedroom floor. The stone accent risers were never touched.

Outdoor

Miramar Park raised entry — outdoor lift on stone paving steps

Miramar Park, FL Installed December 2025

A 1991 CBS home in Miramar Park with a raised front entry and six exterior steps in poured concrete with a stone-paver overlay. Mrs. Joseph uses a cane after a stroke and the front steps had become the barrier between the house and the driveway. We anchored the outdoor rail into the concrete substrate with stainless-steel fasteners rated for the Broward County salt-air environment, sealed the motor housing to IP55 against humidity, and applied a UV coating rated for South Florida's year-round sun exposure. Every fastener is stainless — standard zinc-plated hardware pits within two seasons this close to the coast.

Sunset Lakes gated community — straight rail on carpeted stairs

Sunset Lakes, FL Installed November 2025

A 2002 two-story in the Sunset Lakes gated community with wall-to-wall Berber carpet over concrete stair treads. Mrs. Williams is 76 and her HOA board initially questioned whether a stairlift required architectural review. We submitted the Florida Fair Housing Act reasonable-accommodation request on her behalf — the board approved it within nine days without requiring a formal ARB hearing. The rail brackets anchor through the carpet into the concrete substrate using masonry-rated fasteners. The carpet was not cut, not lifted, not damaged.

Platform Lift

Harbour Lakes — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Harbour Lakes, FL Installed October 2025

A 1996 guard-gated CBS home in Harbour Lakes where Mr. Toussaint, a retired Army staff sergeant and VA patient at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, uses a power wheelchair after bilateral below-knee amputation. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride in his chair. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with bright yellow safety edges along the platform perimeter, interlocked upper and lower gates, and a non-slip aluminum deck rated for a 750 lb combined load. The HISA grant through the Miami VA covered $6,800 of the cost.

Common Questions

Everything Miramar Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Miramar right now?

Straight rails in standard Miramar CBS two-story homes — the Silver Lakes builds, Sunset Lakes gated communities, Huntington originals — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for Riviera Isles Mediterranean foyer staircases and any home with a landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries and paver steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Does CBS concrete construction affect the price?

Not the equipment price — that's the same regardless of construction type. What's different in Miramar versus wood-framed homes up north is the anchoring method: we use masonry-rated Tapcon anchors drilled through tile or hardwood into the concrete substrate instead of standard wood screws. This adds about 30 minutes of labor on a straight install. We don't charge extra for it — it's standard procedure for every Broward County CBS home we work in.

Any hidden fees for HOA or gated-community installs?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We've worked with the boards in Silver Lakes, Sunset Lakes, Riviera Isles, Harbour Lakes, and most of the gated communities across western Broward. Florida Statute 760.20-37 and the federal Fair Housing Act require HOAs to grant reasonable accommodations for residents with documented disabilities — the accommodation-request letters are already templated. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer's letter. If that happens, we tell you before we start.

Do you charge extra for Haitian Creole or Spanish-language service?

No. Every Miramar assessment can be conducted in Spanish or with Haitian Creole basics at your request. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. Miramar's population is over 30% Haitian and Caribbean descent and over 50% Hispanic — multilingual service is standard, not an add-on.

A word from Luis

Most Miramar families call me when the two-story CBS home they bought in Silver Lakes or Sunset Lakes 20 years ago starts working against them — a hip replacement recovery where the bedrooms are all upstairs, a parent with neuropathy in a Riviera Isles Mediterranean who hasn't slept in the master suite in months, a grown daughter in New York calling about her father in Harbour Lakes.

Here's what I do: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure the staircase with a laser, and hand you a written price that holds for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español y en Kreyòl si lo prefiere.
