Straight Stairlift

Most common · From $3,250

The default for Miami Gardens' 1960s ranch homes — Carol City, Norland, Andover, and every CBS block two-story in 33056. Over 65% of the stairlifts we install across Miami Gardens are straight rails. The rail bolts into existing treads with HVHZ-rated stainless fasteners, the seat and footrest fold flat against the wall, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next hurricane-season power outage. Most installs wrap in under four hours.

Stairlift Service Across Miami-Dade County

Miami-Dade County, FL

From the 1960s ranch-style blocks of Carol City — where single-family homes with terrazzo floors and oak-tread staircases define the housing stock — to the split-levels along NW 175th Street in Norland where 90° landing turns demand curved rails, our team has measured staircases in every section of Miami Gardens. We know which Bunche Park cottages have decorative coral stone walls requiring opposite-side rail mounting, which Andover two-stories have carpet-over-concrete treads needing longer anchor bolts, and which Lake Lucerne porches have raised stone-paver entries where an outdoor lift is the only option. We also cover Scott Lake and the unincorporated pockets along NW 27th Avenue where staircase widths drop below 36 inches.

Straight

Carol City ranch — straight rail on original terrazzo-and-oak staircase

Carol City, FL Installed March 2026

A 1964 CBS ranch in Carol City with the original terrazzo tile on the lower level and hardwood oak treads on the upper stair run. Mrs. Jean-Baptiste had been sleeping on the living room sofa for three months after a hip replacement at Jackson North Medical Center because the bedrooms were all upstairs. The rail bolts into the oak treads only — we did not touch the terrazzo, the barrel-tile accent wall, or the original wrought-iron railing her late husband installed in 1978. The seat folds flat against the wall so the grandchildren still run up and down without tripping.

Norland split-level — curved rail with 90° turn at the upper landing

Norland, FL Installed February 2026

A 1971 split-level off NW 175th Street in Norland — six steps up from the foyer to the kitchen, a 90° turn at the landing, then seven more steps to the bedrooms. Mr. Williams is a retired Broward County bus driver with degenerative knee arthritis. We laser-scanned the entire run, fabricated a single curved rail that carries him from the front door to the bedroom hallway in one continuous ride, and fitted a swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps off onto level floor. The CBS block walls and original aluminum jalousie windows are untouched.

Bunche Park cottage — straight rail alongside coral stone accent wall

Bunche Park, FL Installed January 2026

A 1958 CBS cottage on NW 151st Street in Bunche Park with a decorative coral stone accent wall running the length of the staircase. Mr. Desrosiers is 84 and uses a walker. We mounted the rail on the opposite side from the stone wall to preserve the original detail, bolted into the concrete-topped treads with stainless fasteners rated for the Miami-Dade HVHZ code, and added a folding footrest wide enough for him to park the walker on the seat platform during the ride. A potted plant sits on the sideboard at the bottom landing — untouched.

Outdoor

Lake Lucerne porch entry — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving

Lake Lucerne, FL Installed December 2025

A raised front porch in Lake Lucerne with eight exterior steps over decorative stone pavers. Mrs. Moreau's husband had a stroke and came home to a house he could not enter without two people lifting him. We anchored the outdoor rail into the concrete substrate beneath the stone pavers using HVHZ-rated stainless bolts, sealed every motor component to IP55 against the daily summer rain, and UV-coated the rail for the South Florida sun. The cream-colored seat rides past rough natural stone paving to the covered porch entrance above.

Andover two-story — straight rail over plush carpet, zero wall damage

Andover, FL Installed November 2025

A 1980s two-story in the Andover section with plush wall-to-wall carpet on every tread and a narrow hallway at the top. Mrs. Campbell's son was worried the install would tear up the carpet or require cutting into the drywall. Neither happened. The rail bolts through the carpet into the stair treads beneath — no cutting, no adhesive, no visible carpet damage. At the top landing, a slim-profile fold-away seat keeps the hallway passable. The brown upholstery blends with the carpet tones.

Platform Lift

Scott Lake home — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety-yellow edges

Scott Lake, FL Installed October 2025

Mr. Toussaint is a full-time wheelchair user after a spinal cord injury and lives in a 1975 two-story CBS home in Scott Lake. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his power chair directly onto the flat black anti-slip platform. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with high-visibility yellow safety edges, automatic fold-out ramps at both levels, and a keyed lockout so the grandchildren cannot operate it unsupervised. The platform carries his 280-lb power chair plus his weight up the indoor stairway without straining the motor.

Common Questions

Everything Miami Gardens Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Miami Gardens right now?

Straight rails in the CBS ranch homes and split-levels across Carol City, Norland, and Andover run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails — needed for the 90° landing turns in most 1970s split-levels — run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote includes HVHZ-rated stainless fasteners, salt-air coating, battery backup, installation, and the first service visit. Written, honored for 30 days.

Why do Miami-Dade installs cost more than what I see advertised online?

Because every address in Miami-Dade County falls inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone. That means HVHZ-rated stainless-steel anchors, salt-air-resistant fasteners, and sealed motor housings are code requirements — not optional upgrades. Some national chains quote a base price without those components and add them as line items after the home visit. We include them in every written quote from the start. The price you see on paper is the price you pay.

Is there a price difference between Carol City, Norland, and other Miami Gardens neighborhoods?

Equipment prices are identical across every Miami Gardens ZIP code. What varies is the staircase itself. A straight 14-step run in a 1964 Carol City ranch is a different install than a 90° split-level turn in a 1971 Norland home. The staircase geometry drives the price, not the neighborhood. We tell you the exact line items during the free home assessment — stair type, rail length, fastener spec, labor hours — so you know what you're paying for before you sign anything.

Do you offer financing for Miami Gardens homeowners?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. The application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many families combine financing with a partial HISA grant or the IRS medical deduction to bring the monthly cost down further. We walk through the math during the free home assessment — on paper, at your kitchen table.

A word from Luis

The typical call from Miami Gardens starts the same way — somebody's mother slipped on the terrazzo in a Carol City ranch house built in 1965, and the family just realized the bedrooms are all on the second floor of a split-level she's lived in for 40 years. I drive out, measure, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days.

If your home is in the HVHZ zone — and every address in Miami-Dade is — I spec the wind-rated anchors and salt-air fasteners from the start. No surprise add-ons. En español si lo prefiere.
