Country Club sits about 21 miles northwest of downtown Miami at 7 feet of elevation on flat terrain, bordered by Miami Lakes to the south, Palm Springs North to the west and Miramar to the north.
Source ↗Expert Stairlift Installation in Country Club, FL
Country Club grew up around the 36-hole Country Club of Miami golf course, which opened in 1961 with Arnold Palmer as its first pro, and the subdivisions ringing the fairways — Antigua, La Hacienda, Las Brisas, Venetian Gardens — are full of the two-story houses typical of that early building boom. Flat ground, seven feet of elevation, nothing there gives anyone trouble getting around outside. The staircase inside is a different story once a knee or a hip starts complaining, and that's usually the call we get.

What makes Country Club different
Why a stairlift installed in Country Club, FL is planned around the way this specific community lives, not stamped out from a one-size-fits-all template.
The CDP is a single-family residential community built around the 36-hole Country Club of Miami golf course (founded 1961, with Arnold Palmer as first pro), spanning subdivisions such as Antigua, La Hacienda, Las Brisas and Venetian Gardens.

Stairlift Types
Straight Stairlift
Most common · From $3,250
The majority of stairlifts we install in the Country Club corridor are straight-rail models going into single-family homes and townhomes built from the 1980s onward. The rail bolts directly to the stair treads — never the wall or banister — folds flat when not in use, and runs on battery backup through Miami-Dade power outages. Most installs complete in under four hours.
What's Included
- Battery backup for power outages
- Swivel seat with safety lock
- Two wireless remote controls
- Soft start and soft stop motion
- Fold-up seat, arms, and footrest
- 10-year motor & gearbox warranty
Compared to Alternatives
vs Curved: 3x less expensive and installed in one visit. vs Home elevator: 10-15x less cost and no construction. vs Moving bedroom downstairs: Keeps your home exactly as it is.
Curved Stairlift
Custom-built · From $10,450
The split-entry townhome layout — enter at the middle floor, stairs up and stairs down — is common in Country Club and Palm Springs North. We laser-scan both runs, fabricate coordinated rails, and install so every floor of the home is accessible without a transfer. VA HISA grants frequently cover a significant portion of curved-rail costs for eligible veterans.
What's Included
- Free on-site digital measurement
- Single continuous curved rail
- Handles 90°, 180°, or spiral turns
- Powered swivel at top landing
- Park position out of the walkway
- 10-year warranty on all parts
Compared to Alternatives
vs Straight with landing break: One smooth ride instead of transferring seats. vs Home elevator: Half the cost, no construction permits, no shaft needed. vs Moving: A fraction of what selling and relocating costs.
Outdoor Stairlift
Weatherproof · From $4,650
Exterior staircase access is the single most common call we get from Country Club renters and condo owners. Every outdoor install in Miami-Dade County is spec’d with HVHZ-rated anchors, stainless fasteners, and a sealed IP54 motor housing as baseline. Battery backup is standard — because if a storm cuts power, the lift needs to work when the lights don’t.
What's Included
- Marine-grade weather cover
- All-weather corrosion protection
- Storm-rated anchor system
- Lockable key power switch
- Sealed IP54 control panels
- 5-year full-weather warranty
Compared to Alternatives
vs Standard stairlift outdoors: Won't rust, seize, or void its warranty. vs Exterior ramp: No permits, no concrete work, no lost yard. vs Home entry renovation: Installed in a single day.
Heavy-Duty Stairlift
Up to 400 lb · From $5,200
The reinforced heavy-duty model handles up to 400 lbs with a 22-inch padded seat — significantly wider than the standard model. Popular in Country Club for post-surgical recovery where full weight-bearing isn’t yet safe and a wider, more supported seat matters. Same battery backup and 5-year warranty as our standard lineup.
What's Included
- 400 lb rated weight capacity
- 22-inch wide padded seat
- Reinforced dual-tube rail
- Extended footrest and armrests
- Weight-rated safety harness
- 10-year motor & frame warranty
Compared to Alternatives
vs Standard stairlift: Extra capacity and wider seat for maximum comfort. vs Custom furniture lift: A fraction of the price with faster install. vs Home elevator: Much lower cost with the same weight confidence.

Stairlift Service Across Miami-Dade County
From the townhome clusters along NW 87th Avenue — where exterior staircase installs are common for ground-to-second-floor access — to the single-family subdivisions on the western Miami Lakes border, our team has worked across Country Club. We know which Palm Springs North developments have exterior concrete stairs requiring HVHZ-rated hardware, which Hialeah Gardens properties need landlord authorization before scheduling, and which sections of the corridor have the split-entry layout that requires a curved rail rather than a straight run.

I’m a veteran with a service-connected knee injury. I didn’t know the VA HISA grant existed until Luis mentioned it during the assessment. He submitted the paperwork, followed up with the Miami VA directly, and got $6,800 approved in five weeks. I paid the balance with financing at $79 a month. The whole process cost me less than I expected and I didn’t have to figure out any of the VA paperwork myself.
I rent my apartment in Palm Springs North and thought getting a stairlift approved by my landlord would be impossible. All American provided the entire Florida Fair Housing Act packet — I handed it to my property manager and had written approval in four days. The install was the week after. I’ve been in this building eleven years and never had a maintenance request go that smoothly.
My mother is 72 and had her second hip surgery in January. The stairs in her Miami Lakes home had become a daily fight. Three companies told us the narrow staircase would be a problem. All American measured it, said it would work, and proved it — the compact model cleared the header by three inches. My mother was in her own bedroom by install night.
I bought the stairlift from Miami Gardens — my grandmother lives in Country Club and I couldn’t be there for the assessment. Luis let me join on video call, showed me exactly what he was measuring, walked through the quote line by line, and let me ask every question. I knew what every dollar was for before I said yes. Abuela got her lift that week.
Went with All American after a bad experience getting quotes from two other companies that couldn’t explain the price difference between their models. Luis explained every option in plain language, didn’t push anything I didn’t need, and the invoice matched the quote exactly. Honest pricing is harder to find than it should be.

Everything Country Club Homeowners Actually Ask
Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.
What does a stairlift run for a typical Country Club two-story home?
A straight staircase, which is common in the Venetian Gardens section, prices at the lower end because it's one rail with no bends built to order. A lot of the original Antigua and La Hacienda homes have a turn near the bottom of the stairs instead, and that pushes the price up because the rail gets custom-fabricated to that exact turn. We give a firm number after measuring your stairs in person, not over the phone.
Are there financing options besides paying cash?
Yes. FAAST's New Horizon Loan Program is a low-interest option Floridians use for stairlifts and other home modifications, roughly $3,000 to $30,000 depending on the project — worth confirming the current cap with FAAST directly. Homeowners here can also lean on the Florida Homestead exemption plus the Senior Additional Homestead Exemption, which together can shave up to $100,000 off the taxable value of the house — that's not cash toward a stairlift, but it frees up money elsewhere in the budget.
How long does an install take in one of the older Country Club homes?
A straight run, like what's typical in Venetian Gardens, is usually a half-day job start to finish. The turned staircases more common in the original Antigua and La Hacienda sections take longer because the rail has to be bent to match that specific turn — we measure first, fabricate, then come back to install.
Will the install damage a 1960s-era staircase or the surrounding wall?
No. The rail bolts to the treads of the stairs themselves, not the wall, so it doesn't matter whether your house dates back to when the golf course opened in 1961 or was built more recently. No cutting into drywall, no structural changes, nothing to patch up afterward.
Does Florida Medicaid cover a stairlift for a Country Club senior?
It can, through the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care (SMMC LTC) program under Home Accessibility Adaptation, but the state's own description of that benefit names grab bars and modified toilet seats specifically and rules out major structural work — whether a stairlift gets approved comes down to your individual care plan. Call the SMMC Choice Counseling Helpline at 1-877-711-3662 and ask your plan's case manager directly.
Is there a Miami-Dade agency that can help with a stairlift?
Alliance for Aging, Inc. is the Area Agency on Aging covering PSA 11 — Miami-Dade and Monroe counties — at 305-670-6500, and they coordinate referrals for home modifications through their Community Care for the Elderly programs, though stairlifts aren't spelled out as a specific line item. The state's Home Care for the Elderly program is another avenue: a $160/month basic subsidy plus special subsidies that explicitly name ramps and home accessibility modifications, reachable through the Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337.
My father is a veteran in Country Club — does the VA pay for a stairlift?
Not through the HISA grant — that program, worth up to $6,800 for a service-connected veteran or $2,000 for non-service-connected, explicitly excludes stair lifts and platform lifts; it's meant for ramps, wider doorways, and roll-in showers. A stairlift instead goes through VA Prosthetics as durable medical equipment once it's medically prescribed, with no fixed dollar cap. Start with the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center.

Most of what I've measured in Antigua and La Hacienda goes back to when the golf course itself was still new, so the staircases are original — narrower than what gets framed today, and a fair number have a turn near the bottom instead of running straight. Venetian Gardens tends to be a little more open. Either way, I'm out there with a tape measure before I quote a number, because a house built around a 1961 golf course doesn't match a catalog spec sheet.
