Stairlift Service Across Johnson County

Johnson County, KS

From the Colonial-style two-stories in Cedar Creek — where mid-1980s homes have the classic 14-tread carpeted run from foyer to master bedroom — to the split-entry ranches in Countryside, our team has measured stairs in every Lenexa neighborhood. We know which Falcon Valley floor plans have the tight newel post requiring a folding footrest, which Headington homes have wider-than-standard treads that take the slim rail easily, and which Clear Creek Estates properties have tri-level layouts where two separate lifts are the only clean answer. We also cover Shawnee, Olathe, and the Lake Quivira area with the same pricing and same crew — no Johnson County mileage surcharge.

Cedar Creek colonial — 14-tread carpeted run, same-week install

Cedar Creek, KS Installed March 2026

A 1988 two-story colonial in Cedar Creek with 14 carpeted treads and a tight newel post at the bottom landing. Mrs. Harrington had been sleeping in the guest room on the main floor for six weeks following hip replacement surgery. Her daughter called on a Monday. We drove over Tuesday, confirmed the tread depth would accept the mounting hardware without carpet removal, and installed Thursday morning. The folding footrest clears the newel post completely — she was back in her own bedroom Thursday night.

Countryside tri-level — curved rail through a split-entry 90° turn

Countryside, KS Installed February 2026

A 1977 tri-level in Countryside with six steps down from the front entry to the family room, a 90-degree turn, and nine steps up to the bedroom level. Two other companies quoted two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the full run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail from entry to upper hallway, and added a swivel-exit seat so Mr. Pemberton steps off facing the hallway instead of balancing on the top tread. The extended-backup battery ran through the January ice event without skipping a cycle.

Lenexa City Center — compact rail beside a wooden sideboard

Lenexa City Center, KS Installed January 2026

A cozy older home near Lenexa City Center with stone-look tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. The homeowner needed the rail to fit a compact, traditional layout without blocking the hallway furniture. We specified the slim-profile rail and mounted it flush to the tread nosing. The seat parks at the bottom, right beside the sideboard and a potted plant, and the staircase still feels like the warm cottage-style space it always was. Mr. Okonkwo's mother rides it several times daily.

Outdoor

Falcon Valley — weather-sealed outdoor lift for raised stone-paved entry

Falcon Valley, KS Installed December 2025

A 1994 colonial in Falcon Valley with a raised front porch and rough natural stone paving at the entry landing. Mrs. Caldwell could no longer manage the seven porch steps safely in winter. We installed an outdoor stairlift with a weather-resistant cream seat, storm-rated anchors into the stone treads, and full weather sealing on every component. The seat parks at the porch level next to the front door and the sealed motor housing handles Kansas freeze-thaw cycles without maintenance.

Countryside ranch — carpeted stairs, seat blends with carpet tones

Countryside, KS Installed November 2025

A 1982 ranch-style home in Countryside with carpeted stairs and a landing area at the bottom. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones almost exactly — something Mr. Wellstone's son specifically asked about before ordering. The rail mounts through the carpet into the treads, the seat parks at the landing, and the folding footrest tucks flush so his three grandchildren have full stair width when they visit on weekends.

Platform Lift

Headington — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Headington, KS Installed October 2025

Mr. Bergmann uses a power wheelchair and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white handrail. The platform rides the rail from the tiled ground-floor landing to the upper hallway. Every component is indoors, and the LiFePO4 battery backup ran through a January polar vortex without a single service call.

Common Questions

Everything Lenexa Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Lenexa, KS right now?

Straight rails in standard Lenexa two-story homes — the colonials in Cedar Creek and Falcon Valley, the newer builds near Lenexa City Center — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for tri-level split-entry homes in Countryside, where a 90-degree landing turn requires a custom-fabricated rail, run $9,000 to $15,000. Outdoor models run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit. No Johnson County markup.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a ranch home in Johnson County?

Moving costs in the Johnson County market — real estate commission, closing costs, packing, and the price difference between a two-story and a comparable ranch — routinely run $30,000 to $60,000 or more. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $2,800 to $5,500 and lets you stay in the Cedar Creek or Falcon Valley home you've lived in for decades, near your doctors, your neighbors, and your church. For most Lenexa families, the stairlift is a fraction of what moving actually costs.

Do you charge more for premium Johnson County neighborhoods?

No. Equipment and labor prices are the same whether your home is in Lenexa, Overland Park, or Shawnee. The only items that add cost are genuinely unusual install conditions — custom fabrication for a non-standard staircase, or the platform lift hardware for wheelchair access. We itemize every line on the written quote so you can see exactly what you're paying for. No address-based pricing.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. The application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about four minutes, and approval is usually same-day. Many Lenexa families combine financing with a partial VA HISA grant or the IRS medical deduction to bring the net cost down significantly. We walk you through the math during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Lenexa families call me after a parent has been sleeping on the main floor for a few weeks — avoiding the stairs after a hip replacement at Overland Park Regional, or just quietly deciding the upstairs bedroom isn't worth the risk anymore. They've been in their Cedar Creek or Falcon Valley home for twenty-five years and they're not leaving.

My job is direct: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure with a laser, and hand you a written quote that holds for 30 days. No hard sell, no bait-and-switch, no mileage charge for Johnson County.
