Stairlift Service Across Orange County

Orange County, CA

Laguna Woods Village divides into three housing mutuals, each with distinct stairlift patterns. United Laguna Woods Mutual (cooperative units — the older Phase I and II stock has the most two-level floor plans with 12–14 tread interior staircases, especially along Calle Aragon and Avenida Sevilla). Third Laguna Hills Mutual (the largest section — single-level condos dominate, but two-story Andaluz and Catalina models have straight or 90°-turn staircases needing curved rails). Mutual No. Fifty / The Towers (mid-rise independent living; elevators handle most vertical transport, but outdoor entry steps and a few internal multi-level units call for weather-sealed outdoor or curved rails). Gate 1 units concentrate the oldest Phase I cooperatives — compact staircases, stone or tile treads common. Gate 2 sits adjacent to the 27-hole course, where two-story models are most frequent.

Two-Level Condo Near the 27-Hole Course

Gate 2 Golf Area, CA Installed March 2026

Fourteen dark oak treads, straight run, warm indoor light. Our beige seat parked at the bottom landing blends with the wood tones — the rail sits on the wall side, bolted to each tread, no wall drilling. The staircase between the ground-floor living area and the upper bedrooms was the one barrier in a condo the family otherwise loved. Luis finished in 3 hours; they were out on the fairway by afternoon.

Curved Rail at the Upper Landing in The Towers

The Towers, CA Installed January 2026

A multi-level unit in Mutual No. Fifty with a 90° turn at the upper landing — the staircase meets a half-wall with a chandelier overhead. Luis laser-mapped the exact bend in one hour. The brown upholstered seat parks at the top floor. Fabrication took three weeks; the rail follows the curve precisely — no shims, no joints at the turn. Half a day to install on the second visit.

Compact Sevilla-Area Condo with Stone Treads

Sevilla, CA Installed February 2026

A compact condo off Avenida Sevilla near Clubhouse 3. Stone tile treads, a wooden sideboard at the base, twelve treads straight. Our brown seat tucks beside the cabinet without blocking the walkway. Stone treads require carbide-tipped drill bits — the brackets seat flush into the tile, and the 12-foot rail runs clean to the second level. Three and a half hours, arrival to handoff.

Weather-Sealed Entry Steps on Punta Alta

Punta Alta, CA Installed December 2025

Four rough stone-paved front steps up from the walkway — no handrail, uneven risers, the morning marine layer leaves the stone slick. Our cream outdoor lift runs on an aluminum rail with an IP55-sealed motor. The rail mounts to the stone with stainless anchors, sealed at each bracket point. Installed in 4 hours on a clear December morning. Two winter rain seasons later — no corrosion, no hesitation on startup.

Carpeted Two-Level on Bahia Blanca

Bahia Blanca, CA Installed April 2026

A two-level unit in the Bahia Blanca section with beige carpeted stairs — wall-to-wall carpet, neutral tones throughout the condo, tiled floor at the base landing. Thirteen treads, no turns. Our brown seat picks up the carpet's warm palette. The brackets seat through the pile into the wood sub-tread; the carriage rolls cleanly along the rail. Three hours, start to finish.

Platform Lift

Wheelchair Platform Lift on Ronda Mendoza

Ronda Mendoza, CA Installed March 2026

Mr. Evans uses a wheelchair full-time — their two-level condo on Ronda Mendoza had kept him on the ground floor since 2022. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the 14-foot straight staircase. Flat black deck, high-visibility yellow safety edges, white handrail alongside. Weight capacity 600 lb. The platform folds against the wall when not in use. Mr. Evans rode it to the upstairs bedroom on the first test run.

Common Questions

Everything Laguna Woods Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Laguna Woods?

Straight stairlifts start at $2,800 installed, curved at $9,000, outdoor at $4,000, and heavy-duty (600 lb capacity) at $5,050. These prices include the in-home measurement, the rail, the seat, installation, and a demo. Most Village installs are straight rails — which keeps the cost on the lower end. Financing is available from $79/month.

Are there extra HOA fees or approval costs for a stairlift in Laguna Woods Village?

Interior stairlift installations in all three mutuals are typically classified as interior modifications and do not trigger the alteration review process. There is no HOA fee associated with a stairlift install. If your mutual board requests documentation, we provide the spec sheet and mounting details — the rail bolts to the treads, not the walls, so it does not affect common-area structure.

How much is a curved stairlift for a two-story Laguna Woods condo with a landing turn?

Curved rails start at $9,000 installed. The laser measurement takes about an hour on site. The rail is then fabricated at the factory to match your exact stair geometry — including the 90° turns common in Andaluz and Catalina models. Installation happens 2–3 weeks after measurement. Total time in your home: about 5 hours across two visits.

Does the price include removal if I sell my unit?

Yes. We can remove the rail and leave the treads with no visible damage — the mounting brackets come off clean, and we touch up any minor marks. This matters in a community where units turn over regularly and resale condition affects value. Removal typically takes about 90 minutes.

A word from Luis

Laguna Woods is different from any other city we serve. In a normal town, maybe 20% of homes need a stairlift. Here, every single resident is 55 or older, and about 30% of the Village units have stairs — either a two-level floor plan or entry steps. The three mutuals each have their own quirks. United's cooperatives tend to have the most two-story models, especially the older Phase I and II units off Calle Aragon and Avenida Sevilla. Third Mutual has the Andaluz and Catalina models with that 90° turn at the landing — we've done dozens of curved rails there, laser-measured to the exact bend.

The Towers is mostly elevator-served, but we've put outdoor lifts on the entrance steps and a few curved rails inside the larger multi-level units. The one thing every Laguna Woods install has in common: none of my customers want to leave. They've got their clubhouse, their golf group, their bridge circle. A stairlift lets them keep all of it.

— Luis Ramírez, Laguna Woods
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Laguna Woods isn't a place people plan to leave. The 200+ clubs, the two golf courses, the seven clubhouses, and the friendships built over decades make moving feel like a real loss. When the stairs in your two-level condo become the only thing standing between you and the life you've built here, a stairlift is a three-hour fix — bolts to the treads, no drywall work, no HOA hassle.

Luis knows every gate, every mutual's alteration rules, and which models have that tricky 90° turn at the landing. He'll come to your unit — Gate 1, Gate 2, The Towers, wherever — measure your stairs, and give you a firm quote. Most installs happen within a week. Financing starts at $79/month. You stay in the Village.
