The workhorse of Laguna Niguel's two-story tract homes — from Beacon Hill to Sea Country. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install across Laguna Niguel are this model. The master-planned community was built around the two-story stucco floor plan with the bedrooms upstairs, and a single straight rail is the exact solution for most of those staircases. The rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next Southern California Edison interruption. Most installs in the 1980s Beacon Hill and Marina Hills tracts wrap in under four hours.

Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Orange County

Orange County, CA

Beacon Hill and Monarch Summit — early-1980s two-story stucco tracts — account for the bulk of our installs: 13–15 treads, moderate width, straight runs from entry to upper bedrooms. El Niguel Heights, built in the 1970s on steeper hillside grades, produces longer stair runs with lower ceilings and occasional split-level layouts requiring curved rails. Marina Hills has wider staircases in its Mediterranean-style floor plans that typically install in under three hours. Sea Country mixes single- and two-story plans where the stairlift conversation is often about loft access or a bonus room over the garage. The gated communities of San Joaquin Hills and Bear Brand Ranch have the most formal HOA review and tend toward custom homes with curved or angled staircases. We also staff dedicated coverage for Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, and Ladera Ranch.

1981 Beacon Hill two-story — straight rail on original oak treads

Beacon Hill, CA Installed March 2026

A 1981 two-story in Beacon Hill with original dark oak stair treads and a wrought-iron banister the homeowner wanted preserved exactly as built. Mrs. Lindstrom had been avoiding the upstairs bedrooms since a fall in January and was sleeping on the living room sofa. We bolted the rail directly into the oak treads, mounted the beige seat at the bottom landing where it parks out of the path to the front door, and she rode upstairs for the first time in two months the same afternoon. Her husband still walks the stairs daily — the folded seat and rail leave more than enough clearance.

1975 El Niguel Heights — curved rail around a 90° upper landing

El Niguel Heights, CA Installed February 2026

One of the earlier builds in Laguna Niguel — a 1975 two-story in El Niguel Heights with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing where the staircase bends around a half-wall before opening onto the upstairs hallway. A straight rail was impossible. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a curved rail that follows the turn and parks the brown-upholstered seat at the top landing so Mrs. Choi steps off directly onto the hallway floor. The curved section threads past the balustrade without touching a single spindle. Their daughter drove down from Irvine for the first ride and said it was smoother than the elevator at her office.

Sea Country — straight rail in a compact Mediterranean-style interior

Sea Country, CA Installed January 2026

A 1983 Mediterranean-style home in the Sea Country section with stone-tile stair treads, a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs, and a compact stairwell that left barely 30 inches of usable width. Mr. Costello had been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy and could no longer feel his feet well enough to trust the stairs. We specified the slim-profile rail, mounted the brown-upholstered seat to park flush next to the sideboard at the bottom, and the folded footrest clears the stone treads with room to spare. Three hours, start to finish, and he was back upstairs in the room he uses as his workshop by lunchtime.

Monarch Summit — outdoor lift on a stone-paved elevated front entry

Monarch Summit, CA Installed December 2025

A Monarch Summit hillside home where the front entry sits six steps above the driveway on a stone-paved porch — a common layout in Laguna Niguel's graded hillside tracts. Mrs. Rivera had a stroke in October 2025 and could no longer manage the exterior stairs with her walker. We anchored an outdoor-rated rail into the stone paving, installed a cream weather-resistant seat with UV-stabilized upholstery rated for the coastal sun, and added stainless fasteners throughout because the home sits less than two miles from the Pacific. The HOA approved our FEHA packet in eight days. She enters and leaves her own home independently for the first time since the hospital.

Marina Hills — straight rail on carpeted stairs with a landing turn

Marina Hills, CA Installed November 2025

A Marina Hills Mediterranean-style home with carpeted stairs, a small landing at the midpoint, and a brown-toned interior throughout. Mrs. Yamamoto's orthopedic surgeon told her she needed to avoid stairs for at least six weeks after knee surgery, and her bedroom is upstairs. We installed a straight rail on the carpeted treads — the brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet color so naturally that her visiting grandchildren walked past it twice before noticing. The swivel-exit seat at the top lets her step off onto the tiled hallway floor instead of the top tread. Three hours, zero mess, and she came home from the hospital the following week to a house that worked.

Platform Lift

San Joaquin Hills — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a paralyzed veteran

San Joaquin Hills, CA Installed October 2025

A gated home in San Joaquin Hills where Mr. Trujillo — a Marine veteran with a spinal cord injury from a training accident at Camp Pendleton — needed wheelchair access between the entry level and the main living level, a run of seven steps. A seated stairlift was not an option because he cannot transfer from his wheelchair. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white safety rail along the indoor stairway. The VA Long Beach HISA grant covered $6,800 of the cost. Mr. Trujillo rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides to the upper level without ever leaving his chair. The HOA approved the FEHA accommodation packet in five days.

Common Questions

Everything Laguna Niguel Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Laguna Niguel right now?

Straight rails in standard Laguna Niguel tract homes — the two-story stucco builds in Beacon Hill, Monarch Summit, Marina Hills, and Sea Country — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for hillside split-levels in the older El Niguel Heights tracts and custom homes in San Joaquin Hills and Bear Brand Ranch run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for elevated porch entries and hillside exterior stairs run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher in Laguna Niguel than the rest of Orange County?

Equipment prices are the same across Orange County — we don't add a coastal premium for a Bear Brand Ranch or San Joaquin Hills address. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: the steeper stair runs in the 1970s El Niguel Heights tracts, custom curved geometries in gated communities, and the stainless-steel hardware upgrade we spec on every coastal install within three miles of the Pacific (standard in Laguna Niguel, no upcharge). We tell you the line items upfront.

My HOA requires architectural review — will that add to the cost?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork at no additional charge. We've submitted architectural review packets to the Beacon Hill, Marina Hills, Sea Country, San Joaquin Hills, and Bear Brand Ranch associations — the documentation is already templated for each board. California's FEHA requires HOAs to approve reasonable accommodations for residents with documented disabilities, and our packet includes the FEHA language, the CSLB license verification, and the equipment spec sheet your board needs. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires a structural engineer's letter for an exterior-visible installation — if that happens, we tell you before we start.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request. South Orange County has a significant Spanish-speaking population in the surrounding communities — San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente — and our installer Luis is bilingual. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

A word from Luis

Laguna Niguel families call me when the two-story home they bought in 1982 no longer works for the body they have in 2026. The bedrooms are upstairs, the den is downstairs, and the HOA architectural committee meets once a month whether you're ready or not. A stairlift solves the stair problem in one afternoon — and we handle the HOA packet before you even think about it.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
