The workhorse of Irvine's master-planned communities — from Woodbridge two-stories to Northwood colonials to Great Park Neighborhoods. More than 70% of the stairlifts we install in Orange County are straight-rail models. The rail bolts into your stair treads — never into the wall or banister — the seat folds flat against the wall, and every Irvine quote includes HOA ARC paperwork assistance at no charge. Most installs wrap in under three hours thanks to the uniform tract-home stair geometries across Irvine's planned communities.

Stairlift Service Across Orange County

Orange County, CA

From the 1970s tract homes of University Park — where the original Irvine Company floor plans produce the most predictable stair geometries in our portfolio — to the hillside homes of Turtle Rock with their split-level entries and canyon views, our team has mapped every community in Irvine. The 1980s–1990s builds of Woodbridge and Northwood have standard two-story layouts, while the post-2010 Great Park Neighborhoods and Portola Springs run on strict monthly HOA ARC cycles. We keep pre-templated ARC accommodation packets on file for every major Irvine community.

Woodbridge two-story — standard install with HOA approval in seven days

Woodbridge, CA Installed March 2026

A 1988 Woodbridge two-story with carpeted treads and standard tract-home construction. Mrs. Kim's mother had moved in from Korea and couldn't manage the stairs. We submitted the Woodbridge Village Association ARC packet on Thursday, received approval the following Wednesday, and installed on Friday. The uniform stair geometry meant a clean 13-foot straight run that wrapped in under three hours. The beige seat sits unfolded at the bottom of the dark hardwood-tone stairs, rail bolted into the treads on the right side. Mrs. Kim's mother rides it four times a day.

University Park — curved rail around the upper landing in a 1977 Irvine Company home

University Park, CA Installed February 2026

A 1977 University Park home — one of the original Irvine Company tract builds — with a 90-degree turn where the stairs meet the upper hallway. Dr. Ashworth is a retired UC Irvine professor who had been sleeping in his study for three months after knee surgery. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and parked the brown-upholstered seat at the top floor. The modern interior — framed art on the walls, updated lighting above — stayed untouched. He was back upstairs in his own bedroom the afternoon we finished.

Northwood colonial — straight rail in a compact traditional stairway

Northwood, CA Installed January 2026

A 1995 Northwood colonial with a compact stairway next to a wooden sideboard and potted plant in the entry. The stone-tile treads and traditional cottage feel of the home made it important to keep the installation unobtrusive. Mrs. Liu's parents speak Mandarin and her brother in San Jose joined the assessment by phone while Mrs. Liu translated on-site. We fitted the straight rail along the right side, keeping the brown-upholstered seat tight against the wall so the entry furniture stays in place. The Northwood HOA ARC approved in five days.

Turtle Rock hillside — outdoor stairlift on stone-paved entry steps

Turtle Rock, CA Installed December 2025

A Turtle Rock hillside home with eight exterior entry steps on rough natural stone paving, facing south with full afternoon sun and canyon wind exposure. Mr. Chen is 80 and had fallen on the wet stone once in the rain. We installed a weather-sealed cream outdoor stairlift on the stone-paved porch steps with a UV-rated rail coating and IP54-sealed motor housing. The carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom provides grip in morning dew. The Turtle Rock Community Association ARC approved the exterior installation in one cycle after reviewing the equipment color and placement.

Woodbridge — straight rail on carpeted stairs with matching upholstery

Woodbridge, CA Installed November 2025

An older Woodbridge floor plan with carpeted stairs and a landing area at the mid-level. The brown carpet runs the full flight, and we chose brown upholstery for the seat that blends with the carpet tone so the lift doesn't stand out. The rail bolts into the treads beneath the carpet, and the seat parks at the landing with wall-mounted light switches within easy reach. Mr. Pham's wife rides it twice a day — the color match was important to them because the stairway is the first thing guests see from the entry.

Platform Lift

Portola Springs — indoor wheelchair platform lift for post-stroke access

Portola Springs, CA Installed October 2025

A 2015 Portola Springs home where Mrs. Nakamura uses a power wheelchair after a stroke and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges and a white handrail. The warm orange-toned walls of the stairway frame the unit, and a window on the landing provides natural light. The Portola Springs HOA ARC approved the interior accessibility modification in one cycle. Mrs. Nakamura said the first ride felt like reclaiming her house.

Common Questions

Everything Irvine Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Irvine right now?

Straight rails in standard Irvine homes — the Woodbridge two-stories, the Northwood colonials, the University Park tract homes — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for Turtle Rock hillside split-levels and older Woodbridge floor plans with 90° landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for Turtle Rock hillside entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, HOA paperwork assistance, and the first service visit.

Does HOA approval really add time?

Usually 1-2 weeks, depending on your community's ARC meeting schedule. We submit the accommodation packet the day after your assessment so it makes the next committee cycle. The packet includes equipment specs, installation drawings, physician medical-necessity letter, and FEHA reasonable-accommodation citations. Most Irvine ARC committees approve accessibility requests in one cycle. California's FEHA rules are stronger than federal FHA and explicitly require HOAs to grant reasonable accommodations for disabled residents.

Should I verify the CSLB license?

Yes — always. California requires a CSLB license for any contractor performing work over $500. Our CSLB number, C-61/D-34 classification, $25,000 surety bond, and workers' comp status are all verifiable at cslb.ca.gov and printed on every written quote.

My parents speak Mandarin. Can you accommodate?

Luis conducts assessments in English and Spanish. For Mandarin- or Cantonese-speaking families, we schedule the assessment with a bilingual family member present and provide written materials that the family member can translate. Many Irvine families have adult children who coordinate in English while the parents review materials together. We take as much time as needed to make sure every question is answered before anyone signs.

A word from Luis

Most Irvine families call me after the stairs in their Woodbridge two-story or Turtle Rock hillside home became the thing they avoid — a parent in University Park who hasn't been upstairs in three months, a retired aerospace engineer in Northwood whose knees gave out, a daughter in the Great Park neighborhoods worried about her Chinese-speaking mother aging alone in the same house she's owned since 1985.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. Every Irvine quote includes HOA paperwork assistance — because every Irvine home is in an HOA.
