Stairlift Service Across Ocean County

Ocean County, NJ

We install throughout Lacey Township's main communities — Forked River (08731), Lanoka Harbor (08734), and Bamber Lake. In Forked River, the waterfront neighborhoods like Riviera on the Barnegat, Forked River Beach, Sunrise Beach, and Deer Head Lake have many raised colonials with long interior staircases — most built in the 1960s-70s, with tread widths that vary house to house. Cranberry Hill and Barnegat Pines feature mid-century ranches and split-levels. In Lanoka Harbor, Sea Breeze at Lacey and the neighborhoods near Murray Grove have a mix of original Capes and newer construction. Cedar Creek and the Bamber Lake area include homes on wooded lots with varying stair configurations — some with narrow turns that need a custom curved rail.

Straight

Straight Rail on Hardwood — Forked River Beach Colonial

Forked River Beach, NJ Installed February 2026

The Hendersons' 1974 colonial in Forked River Beach was raised after Sandy — a 15-step straight oak staircase from the garage entry to the main living level. Luis measured on a Tuesday, installed that Friday. The beige rail bolts to the treads with lag screws, no wall anchoring, not a single mark on the drywall. Seat parks at the bottom when not in use, leaving the upstairs hallway completely open.

Curved Rail at Upper Landing — Bamber Lake Cape

Bamber Lake, NJ Installed March 2026

The Kowalskis' 1965 Cape Cod off Route 539 in Bamber Lake has a staircase that climbs six steps, turns 90 degrees at a tight landing, then continues seven more to the upper floor. Luis laser-measured every angle; the fabrication shop bent the rail in two weeks. The brown seat parks at the top, out of the way of the downstairs hallway.

Straight

Straight Rail on Stone Treads — Sunrise Beach Cottage

Sunrise Beach, NJ Installed January 2026

The DeMarcos' compact 1950s cottage in Sunrise Beach has stone-faced treads on a straight staircase running alongside a wooden sideboard. At 34 inches wide, the staircase needed a rail that didn't crowd the path. Luis installed the rail offset to the wall side, leaving a clear 14-inch pass-through. The brown seat tucks against the sideboard when parked at the bottom. Stone treads had become too slippery in socks.

Outdoor

Outdoor Lift on Lagoon-Front Porch — Riviera on the Barnegat

Riviera on the Barnegat, NJ Installed April 2026

The Callahans' lagoon-front home in Riviera on the Barnegat has an eight-step exterior staircase — rough stone paving, fully exposed to the elements. Salt spray off the lagoon was the main concern. Luis spec'd the full outdoor package: IP55-sealed motor, marine-grade aluminum rail, UV-stabilized cream seat. The rail anchors to the stone treads with stainless fasteners rated for salt air.

Straight Rail on Carpet — Cranberry Hill Split-Level

Cranberry Hill, NJ Installed May 2026

The Olsens' 1968 split-level in Cranberry Hill has wall-to-wall beige carpet on a straight 13-step staircase, with tile flooring at the base landing. The carpet nearly matches the brown upholstery of the stairlift seat. The rail brackets went through the carpet into the treads without tearing or pulling the fibers. Mr. Olsen had been avoiding the upstairs entirely; his bedroom and only full bathroom were up there.

Platform Lift

Indoor Inclined Platform Lift — Lanoka Harbor Bi-Level

Lanoka Harbor, NJ Installed March 2026

The Reyes family's bi-level home off Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor had a straight 14-step staircase their wheelchair-using adult son couldn't access. Luis installed an inclined platform lift: flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail, rated to 600 lb. The platform folds against the wall when not in use, leaving the stairs fully walkable. Luis ran two extra tests on the safety edges and auto-stop before signing off.

Common Questions

Everything Lacey Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Lacey Township?

A straight stairlift in Lacey starts at $2,800 installed. Curved rails — common in the bi-levels and split-levels throughout Forked River and Lanoka Harbor — start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-bent to your staircase after a laser measurement. Outdoor units for lagoon-front or bay-adjacent homes start at $4,000 and include the marine-grade rail and sealed motor housing you need this close to Barnegat Bay. Financing runs $79/month, and we give you a printed quote at the assessment — no hidden fees.

Why does a curved stairlift cost more than a straight one?

A straight rail comes off the shelf — we cut it to length on site. A curved rail is one-off. Luis spends about an hour with a laser measurement rig capturing every turn, landing, and angle of your staircase. That data goes to the fabrication shop, where the rail is bent to match exactly. In Lacey, we see a lot of bi-level homes from the 1960s-70s that turn 90 degrees at a mid-stair landing, plus older Capes in Bamber Lake with tighter geometry. No two curved rails are the same.

Does insurance cover stairlift installation in Ocean County?

Standard Medicare does not cover stairlifts — that's federal policy. But New Jersey has two strong programs. NJ FamilyCare MLTSS (Managed Long Term Services and Supports) provides up to $15,000 as a lifetime benefit for residential modifications including stairlifts. Separately, the JACC program (Jersey Assistance for Community Caregiving) covers environmental accessibility adaptations for seniors 60+ who meet nursing-home-level care criteria, with a monthly cap of $1,090 per participant. Both require an assessment and prior authorization. We help with the paperwork.

Are there any hidden costs after the quote?

No. The price Luis quotes at the in-home assessment is the price you pay. It covers the rail, the carriage and seat, delivery, installation, cleanup, and a demo of how everything works. If your Lacey home needs anything beyond standard — like an extra-long rail for a raised colonial staircase or a power outlet relocated — Luis includes that in the quote before you sign anything. The only ongoing cost is completely optional: an annual service check if you want one.

A word from Luis

Lacey Township is 84 square miles of really different housing — you've got 1960s waterfront colonials on bulkheaded lagoons in Riviera on the Barnegat, split-level ranches from the 1970s in Cranberry Hill, and older Cape Cods tucked back in Bamber Lake. Every install here means something different. The lagoon-front homes often have long straight staircases from the garage up to the living level because they were raised after Sandy. In Lanoka Harbor, I see a lot of the original 1960s bi-levels where the staircase turns 90 degrees at a landing — those need a custom curved rail measured on site.

The thing people don't expect is how fast it goes. I bolt the rail to the treads, not the wall. No drywall work, no rewiring. Most straight installs are done by lunchtime. For the folks out near the bay on Cedar Creek or Sunrise Beach, we always spec the outdoor IP55 package — the salt air off Barnegat Bay eats ordinary metal in two seasons. The marine-grade rail and sealed motor housing make the difference.

— Luis Ramírez, Lacey
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Lacey Township sits right where the Pine Barrens meet Barnegat Bay — and that geography shows up in the housing stock. You have homes raised for flood protection with long straight staircases, lagoon-front properties where salt air demands outdoor-rated equipment, and older Pine Barrens homes with tight stair turns. A stairlift here has to match the house it's going into, not a catalog photo.

Call Luis at the number above. He'll come out to your home — whether you're off Lacey Road near the Parkway exit, down a lagoon in Forked River Beach, or back in the pines off Route 539 — and give you a real quote based on your actual stairs. No pressure, no same-day-close tactics. Just measurements, a printed quote, and an honest answer about what your staircase needs.
