Stairlift Service Across Ocean County

Ocean County, NJ

Lakewood's stairlift market splits into two distinct patterns. The 55+ communities — Leisure Village, Leisure Village East, Four Seasons, Fairways at Lake Ridge, Lions Head Woods, Covington Village — are dominated by ranch-style and condo layouts where the staircase is often a single straight run to a basement or loft. These installs are fast, clean, and straightforward. The multi-generational family homes east of Route 9 and along Cedarbridge Avenue are a different story — two-story colonials with upper-landing turns, split-levels with mid-flight geometry, and staircases that carry traffic from grandparents to grandchildren all day long.

Leisure Village — straight rail on original oak treads in a 55+ ranch

Leisure Village, NJ Installed March 2026

A 1970s ranch-style unit in Leisure Village with a straight interior staircase from the main level down to a finished basement den. The staircase is a clean straight run on original oak treads — no landing, no turns, no complications. Luis bolted the rail into the treads, kept the original wall-mounted handrail on the opposite side untouched, and had Mrs. Goldstein riding the lift by lunchtime. She told us the basement was where she keeps her sewing machine, her photo albums, and 40 years of records she hadn't reached in five months.

Multi-generational Lakewood colonial — curved rail past the upper landing turn

Central Lakewood, NJ Installed February 2026

A two-story colonial east of Route 9 where three generations share the home. The staircase rises from the front foyer, turns 90 degrees at the upper landing, and opens into the second-floor hallway. Luis laser-scanned the staircase on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail that rides the full run including the upper-landing turn, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so the grandmother steps off onto the hallway floor. The folded seat and footrest leave 28 inches clear for the children running past.

Fairways at Lake Ridge — straight rail in a stone-accented courtyard home

Fairways at Lake Ridge, NJ Installed January 2026

A courtyard-style home in the Fairways at Lake Ridge 55+ community with a stone-accented interior stairwell leading from the main living area up to a loft bedroom. The builder used decorative stone veneer on the lower stairwell wall, making wall-bracket mounting impossible without cracking the veneer. Luis tread-mounted the entire rail, ran the wiring through a slim surface conduit painted to match, and used vibration-dampened brackets to keep the motor noise from echoing in the stone stairwell. Two of the DiNapolis' golf partners came for dinner and didn't notice the lift until it was pointed out.

Outdoor

Western Lakewood ranch — outdoor lift on stone-paved front entry steps

Western Lakewood, NJ Installed December 2025

A 1980s ranch in western Lakewood with five exterior stone-paved steps from the driveway up to the front door. Mrs. Abramowitz is 78 and uses a rollator — the interior of the house is entirely single-level, but those five front steps had become the barrier between her and the outside world. Luis bolted the outdoor rail into the stone paving, sealed every component against New Jersey's freeze-thaw cycles, and added a UV coating for the full southern sun exposure the front entry gets. The cream-colored seat blends with the porch trim.

Lions Head Woods — straight rail on carpeted condo staircase

Lions Head Woods, NJ Installed November 2025

A two-bedroom condo in the Lions Head Woods adult community on the Lakewood-Brick border. The staircase from the ground-floor entry up to the main living level is fully carpeted with a plush Berber pad. Luis bolted the rail through the carpet and pad directly into the subfloor without cutting or pulling the carpet. The brown-upholstered chair blends with the carpet tones, and the seat parks flush at the top so the narrow hallway stays clear. Mr. Kessler told us the whole install took less time than his last PT session.

Platform Lift

East Lakewood split-level — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

East Lakewood, NJ Installed October 2025

A 1970s split-level off Route 88 in East Lakewood where Mr. Berger uses a power wheelchair after a stroke. The half-flight between the entry level and the sunken living room cut him off from the family room, the kitchen, and the back deck. Luis installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface, bright yellow high-visibility safety edges marking the platform perimeter, interlocked upper and lower gates, and obstruction sensors on all sides. The NJ MLTSS program through his Horizon managed care plan covered the installation cost. Mr. Berger rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and is in the kitchen in 12 seconds.

Common Questions

Everything Lakewood Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Lakewood right now?

Straight rails for standard Lakewood staircases — basement stairs in Leisure Village ranches, main runs in Lions Head Woods condos, entry-to-bedroom in colonials — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for staircases with upper-landing turns or split-level geometry run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact measurements. Outdoor models for raised front entries and stone-paved steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in 55+ communities versus regular Lakewood homes?

Equipment pricing is identical. What varies slightly is install complexity: a clean straight run in a Leisure Village ranch basement is faster labor than threading a curved rail through a two-story colonial with a 90-degree upper-landing turn. But the equipment — the rail, the seat, the motor, the battery — is priced the same regardless of community. We don't add HOA fees either; we handle the condo board paperwork at no charge.

Is there a fee for the in-home assessment?

No. The assessment is free, takes about 45 minutes, and you get a written quote before we leave. No obligation. No follow-up pressure calls. The quote is honored for 30 days so you have time to review it with your family, compare it to other bids, and check funding options. If you don't move forward, you owe us nothing.

How do your prices compare to other Ocean County stairlift dealers?

We publish starting prices on this page — most dealers in the Toms River, Brick, and Manchester corridor do not. Ask any company you're comparing for a written, itemized quote that includes the rail, seat, motor, battery backup, installation labor, and the first post-install service visit. Some quotes leave out the battery or the service visit and add them later. Our quote includes everything, and we honor it for 30 days so you can compare line by line.

A word from Luis

Lakewood is two markets in one truck. Half my calls come from the 55+ communities — Leisure Village, Leisure Village East, Four Seasons, Fairways at Lake Ridge — where a single-level condo layout suddenly has three exterior steps the homeowner can't manage anymore. The other half come from the multi-generational family homes east of Route 9, where grandparents live on the second floor and the family needs them downstairs safely three times a day.

I measure once, quote once, and the price is good for 30 days. No surprise fees. No upsells. The Ocean County Office of Senior Services outreach office is five minutes from here on Fourth Street — I can walk you through JACC or MLTSS paperwork the same afternoon. En español si lo prefiere.
