Stairlift Service Across Ocean County

Ocean County, NJ

From the sprawling 55+ communities that define Berkeley Township — Holiday City South, Holiday City West, Holiday City Carefree, and Holiday City Heights, where over 10,000 ranch-style and duplex homes line the streets between Route 37 and the Toms River border — to the Bayville waterfront section along Barnegat Bay, our crew has measured staircases in every section. Silver Ridge Park homes have single-story layouts with occasional basement access stairs that need straight rails. Good Luck Point and Pinewald properties feature older Cape Cods and raised-entry colonials with outdoor steps. Cedar Beach and Pelican Island waterfront homes near the bay require marine-grade outdoor hardware on every exposed component.

Holiday City South ranch — straight rail on basement stairs after hip surgery

Holiday City South, NJ Installed March 2026

A 1972 ranch-style home in Holiday City South with a standard straight-run basement staircase — 12 carpeted treads, 36 inches wide. Mr. Ferraro, 78, had his second hip replaced at Community Medical Center and his wife called us the week before surgery. We through-bolted the brackets into the subfloor beneath the carpet pad, mounted a brown-upholstered seat that folds flat at the top landing, and routed the charging cable along the baseboard. He rode the lift to the basement the evening he came home from rehab.

Pinewald split-level — curved rail through a tight landing turn

Pinewald, NJ Installed February 2026

A 1968 split-level in Pinewald with a classic NJ layout: five treads up from the foyer to a half-landing, a 90-degree turn, then seven more treads to the bedroom floor. Two national chains told Mrs. Gorski the turn was too tight. We laser-scanned the entire run, fabricated a curved rail with a factory-welded bend at the half-landing, and installed a swivel-exit seat so she steps off onto the hallway carpet. The rail clears the walls on both sides by more than two inches.

Silver Ridge Park duplex — slim-profile rail on narrow original treads

Silver Ridge Park, NJ Installed January 2026

A 1975 duplex in Silver Ridge Park with a narrow 33-inch-wide staircase between the main level and the upper bedrooms. Mrs. Patterson, 91, had not been upstairs in two years after a fall. We spec'd the slim-profile model with the compact footrest, confirmed 21 inches of clear passage remained for other household members, and installed the same week. She slept in her own bedroom for the first time in two years.

Outdoor

Bayville Cape Cod — weather-sealed outdoor rail on raised concrete entry steps

Bayville, NJ Installed December 2025

A 1960s Cape Cod in Bayville with six concrete steps from the driveway up to the front door — the raised-entry design common in Berkeley Township's older sections. Mr. Santos slipped on those steps during a rainstorm and broke his wrist. We anchor-bolted a weather-sealed outdoor rail into the concrete treads with 316-stainless fasteners rated for Shore salt-air corrosion, sealed the motor housing to IP55, and added a rain cover for the parked seat. He rides from the driveway to the front door in any weather.

Holiday City West ranch — straight rail for a retired Marine veteran

Holiday City West, NJ Installed November 2025

A 1974 ranch in Holiday City West where Mr. Hendricks, a retired Marine, needed a basement rail after knee surgery. The VA HISA grant covered the bulk of the cost — we handled all paperwork with the Toms River VA Clinic. The basement staircase is a clean 12-tread straight run with vinyl-wrapped treads. We bolted the rail into the treads, mounted the seat, and routed the charging cable along the wall. He was back in the basement workshop the next morning.

Platform Lift

Holiday City Heights home — inclined wheelchair platform lift between floors

Holiday City Heights, NJ Installed October 2025

A Holiday City Heights home where Mr. Torres, 74, uses a power wheelchair full-time after a stroke. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride between floors in his chair. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform and yellow high-visibility safety edges along the perimeter. The unit runs on a track mounted to the stairwell wall and carries the wheelchair and occupant between the main floor and upper bedrooms. His OT from the Ocean County senior services program signed off on the install.

Common Questions

Everything Berkeley Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Berkeley Township right now?

Straight rails in standard Berkeley Township homes — the Holiday City ranches, Silver Ridge Park duplexes, and Bayville Cape Cods — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Most Holiday City homes need a straight rail for basement stairs or a garage-to-main-floor transition, putting the typical Berkeley Township job at the lower end of that range. Curved rails for split-level landings in older Bayville and Pinewald homes run $9,000 to $15,000. Outdoor weather-sealed models for raised entries and waterfront steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Berkeley Township than Toms River or Lacey?

Equipment prices are the same across Ocean County — we do not inflate quotes for Holiday City or Bayville addresses. What can add cost is unusual conditions: a new dedicated circuit in a 1960s Silver Ridge Park home without a grounded outlet near the staircase, marine-grade hardware upgrades for waterfront properties in Cedar Beach or Pelican Island, or an extra-long outdoor rail on a raised-entry colonial in Pinewald. We show you every line item upfront.

Does NJ FamilyCare cover stairlifts?

Yes. NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid) covers up to $15,000 in home accessibility modifications including stairlifts through the Home and Community-Based Services waiver. You must be financially eligible for Medicaid and assessed at nursing-facility level of care. Contact your managed care organization or the NJ FamilyCare hotline at 1-800-701-0710 to start the process. We are an enrolled provider and handle the authorization paperwork once your service coordinator assigns us.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift a good option for a Berkeley Township home?

A factory-refurbished straight rail can save 30–40% over new — typically $1,800 to $3,200 installed for a standard Holiday City or Silver Ridge Park basement staircase. We inspect, re-certify, and warranty refurbished units the same as new: 3 years parts, lifetime rail. Curved rails are almost never available refurbished because every curved rail is custom-fabricated to a specific staircase. If your stairs are a clean straight run — and most Berkeley Township 55+ community homes qualify — ask about refurbished options during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Berkeley Township calls come from the 55+ communities — a Holiday City South resident whose husband fell on the basement stairs last month, a Carefree Section widow who hasn't been upstairs in her duplex since a hip replacement at Community Medical Center, a daughter in North Jersey worried about her 88-year-old mother navigating the raised entry in Holiday City Heights every time she checks the mailbox.
