Stairlift Service Across Ocean County

Ocean County, NJ

From the 55+ communities along Route 37 — Holiday City at Silverton, Greenbriar Woodlands, Silver Ridge — to the mid-century colonials in Silverton and the 1950s fieldstone cottages in Pleasant Plains, our team has measured staircases across every Toms River neighborhood. North Dover raised entries need outdoor lifts with our marine-grade salt-air package, standard within 10 miles of Barnegat Bay. Money Island waterfront homes get the same corrosion-resistant spec. Holiday City at Silverton ranch — straight rail on hardwood oak treads

Holiday City at Silverton, NJ Installed March 2026

A ranch-style home in the Holiday City at Silverton 55+ community with 13 original oak treads leading to the lower level. Mrs. Kowalski had been avoiding the downstairs sewing room since a fall last winter. We measured the straight 14-foot run, confirmed the oak treads could accept mounting hardware without splitting, and installed the same week. The cream-upholstered seat parks at the bottom landing, folded flat against the wall. She was back at her sewing table the same afternoon.

1964 Silverton colonial — curved rail through upper-landing 90° turn

Silverton, NJ Installed February 2026

A 1964 colonial in Silverton with 14 steps from the foyer and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. Two competitors quoted two separate lifts with a transfer at the landing. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mr. DeLuca from the foyer to the second-floor hallway in one continuous ride, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps off onto carpet. The original walnut banister was never drilled or touched — the rail bolts into treads only.

1950s Pleasant Plains cottage — straight rail on original fieldstone treads

Pleasant Plains, NJ Installed January 2026

A 1950s cottage in Pleasant Plains with original fieldstone interior stairs that two other installers declined because they did not know how to anchor into natural stone. We drove masonry anchors into the mortar joints between the fieldstone treads and shimmed each mount to match the irregular tread angles. The brown-upholstered seat sits at the base of the staircase near a wooden sideboard and potted plant by the landing. The ride is perfectly smooth — no vibration against the stone. Mr. Thurston said he forgot the stairs used to be a problem.

North Dover raised entry — outdoor lift with full marine-grade salt-air package

North Dover, NJ Installed December 2025

A raised ranch in North Dover with seven stone paving steps at the front entry, direct salt-air exposure from Barnegat Bay less than three miles east. Every component carries our full marine-grade package: stainless-steel mounting bolts, marine-coated rail, sealed motor housing with IP55 rating, and UV-stabilized seat upholstery. Mr. Rossi is a retired electrician who inspected every connection himself and approved. The lift ran through a December nor'easter without a single issue — no rust, no corrosion, no electrical fault.

Greenbriar Woodlands townhome — straight rail on thick carpeted stairs

Greenbriar Woodlands, NJ Installed November 2025

A 55+ townhome in the Greenbriar Woodlands community with carpeted stairs and a standard 36-inch staircase width. Mrs. Pellegrino was worried the mounting brackets would crush the thick pile carpet permanently. We showed her before-and-after photos from other Greenbriar installs — the brackets compress the pile at six anchor points, and the carpet rebounds fully when a lift is eventually removed. The HOA approved the notification in four days. The seat folds flat against the wall, leaving the full staircase width for her visiting grandchildren.

Platform Lift

Money Island home — inclined wheelchair platform lift for Vietnam veteran

Money Island, NJ Installed October 2025

A two-story home near the Money Island waterfront. Mr. Hayes is a Vietnam veteran who uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected spinal injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges, white handrails, and a keyed lockout. The Leonard G. Lomell VA Clinic on Hooper Avenue wrote the prescription, and the HISA grant covered the full $6,800 service-connected maximum. Mr. Hayes rolls on, presses one button, and rides to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Toms River Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Toms River right now?

Straight rails in standard Toms River homes — the ranches in Holiday City, the colonials in Silverton, the newer builds in North Dover — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for homes with landings or L-shaped staircases run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries and shore-side porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is the shore salt-air package an extra charge?

No. Every Toms River install within a 10-mile radius of Barnegat Bay ships with our full marine-grade salt-air package as standard: stainless-steel mounting bolts, marine-coated rail, and sealed motor housing. Ortley Beach and barrier-island properties get the same spec. It is baseline, not an upcharge — we do not sell a lesser package in Ocean County because every home here is exposed.

Do prices change for 55+ community installs versus regular homes?

Equipment and labor pricing is the same whether you live in Holiday City at Silverton, Greenbriar Woodlands, or a private home in Pleasant Plains. The only difference is paperwork: most 55+ communities require HOA notification before exterior work. We prepare the notification documents at no charge and have worked with every major HOA in the Route 37 corridor.

Can I rent a stairlift instead of buying?

Yes. We offer straight-rail rentals starting at $150 per month with a three-month minimum term. The rental includes installation, removal, and maintenance. It is a practical option for post-surgery recovery, hospice situations, or families that want to try a lift before committing. Curved rails are purchase-only because they are custom-fabricated to your exact staircase.

A word from Luis

Most Toms River calls start the same way: a grown child in North Jersey or out of state, worried about a parent in a Holiday City ranch or a Silverton split-level who stopped going upstairs three months ago. The second-most-common call is from a veteran who just learned about the HISA grant at the new Leonard G. Lomell VA Clinic on Hooper Avenue and wants to know if we handle the paperwork.

I drive to your house, measure once, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. I've been doing this across Ocean County for 18 years. En espanol si lo prefiere.
