Stairlift Service Across Ocean County

Ocean County, NJ

From the 55+ communities along Route 70 and Route 88 — Lions Head South, Lions Head North, Cedar Village, Greenbriar II, The Pavilion, Winding River Village — where the conversation is about carpet-friendly installs and HOA reasonable-accommodation documentation, to the 1960s colonials and split-levels in Herbertsville where landing turns demand custom curved rails, to the ranches in Laurelton and Drum Point where a straight basement run is the bread-and-butter install, our team has mapped every staircase pattern in the township. We know which Lions Head South floor plans from the early 1970s share the identical 13-foot straight run that installs in under three hours, which Breton Woods colonials have the upper-landing turn that only works with a curved rail, and which Normandy Beach barrier-island homes need the full marine-grade salt-air package on every exposed fastener.

1967 Herbertsville colonial — straight rail on original dark hardwood treads

Herbertsville, NJ Installed February 2026

A classic 1967 colonial in Herbertsville with original dark oak treads and an open stairwell visible from the front entry. The Morales family called after their father stopped going upstairs to the bedrooms. We bolted a straight rail to the hardwood treads — never into the wall — with a beige seat parked at the bottom landing. The rail runs along the right side of the staircase and tucks neatly against the oak banister. The warm wood tones in the stairwell stayed untouched.

Drum Point split-level — curved rail bending around the upper-floor balustrade

Drum Point, NJ Installed January 2026

A split-level in Drum Point where the staircase wraps 90 degrees around a half-wall balustrade at the upper landing. Mrs. Whitfield had been told by two companies that the turn was too tight for a single rail. We laser-scanned the staircase on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the balustrade and parks the brown-upholstered seat at the upper floor, level with the hallway. She steps off directly onto the landing instead of the top tread. The modern interior — chandelier above, framed art on the wall — stayed completely undisturbed.

Lions Head South ranch — compact straight rail next to the den sideboard

Lions Head South, NJ Installed December 2025

A 1970s ranch in Lions Head South with a compact stairwell leading to the basement den. The stairs sit next to a wooden sideboard with a potted plant, and the original stone-tile treads are intact from the builder spec. Mrs. Delgado had stopped going downstairs entirely after a knee replacement, which meant her craft room and photo albums were stranded in the basement. We installed a straight rail with a brown-upholstered seat that parks flush against the sideboard in the compact space. She was back downstairs the same afternoon.

Normandy Beach barrier island — outdoor lift on stone-paved porch entry

Normandy Beach, NJ Installed November 2025

A raised-entry shore house on the Normandy Beach barrier island with stone-paved porch steps and full exposure to the salt-laden Atlantic wind. Mrs. Alvarez's knees could no longer handle the five exterior steps from street level to the front door. We installed an outdoor lift with a cream weather-resistant seat, marine-grade epoxy-coated rail, 316-stainless fasteners, and a sealed motor housing rated for the shore environment. The rough stone paving at the entry was left untouched — we anchored into the step risers only.

Breton Woods colonial — brown seat blending with carpeted stair treads

Breton Woods, NJ Installed October 2025

A colonial in Breton Woods with wall-to-wall carpeted stairs leading from the tiled foyer to the second-floor bedrooms. Mr. Harrington needed a lift after hip surgery but wanted something that wouldn't dominate the stairwell. We installed a straight rail with a brown-upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones, parked at the landing. The carpet-covered treads cushion the brackets, and the tiled floor at the bottom provides a stable step-off surface. Light switches on the wall stayed accessible.

Platform Lift

Cedar Bridge — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a split-level entry

Cedar Bridge, NJ Installed September 2025

A split-level home in Cedar Bridge where Mr. Velasquez returned from surgery in a wheelchair and could not transfer to a seated stairlift. The indoor stairway has six steps from the foyer to the main living area. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white safety handrail along the indoor stairway. The warm-toned walls frame the lift on both sides. Mr. Velasquez rolls his wheelchair on, rides up, and rolls off independently — no transfers, no assistance needed.

Common Questions

Everything Brick Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Brick Township right now?

Straight rails in standard Brick homes — the Lions Head ranches, the Herbertsville split-levels, the Cedar Village townhomes — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for colonials with landing turns in Breton Woods or Laurelton run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your staircase geometry. Outdoor models with the marine-grade shore package for salt-air resistance run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and first service visit.

Is the marine shore-protection package an extra charge?

No. Every outdoor install in Brick — and anywhere within ten miles of Barnegat Bay — ships with marine-grade epoxy rail coating, 316-stainless fasteners, and a sealed motor housing as standard spec. National chains charge $300-$400 for this as an add-on. We include it because unprotected aluminum corrodes in a single Ocean County winter and we'd rather build it right than repair it later.

Do prices differ between 55+ community installs and regular homes?

Equipment and labor cost the same whether you're in Lions Head South, Cedar Village, The Pavilion, or a single-family home on Herbertsville Road. The only variable is staircase complexity — a straight run costs less than a curved rail because there's no custom fabrication. We include the HOA and community board documentation packet at no charge for every 55+ community install in Brick.

Can I rent a stairlift instead of buying one?

Yes — monthly rentals start at $150/month for straight models with a three-month minimum. This is popular with Brick families managing temporary post-surgical recovery from Community Medical Center or Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where a short-term mobility restriction doesn't justify a full purchase. If you decide to buy after renting, we credit your rental payments toward the purchase price.

A word from Luis

Most Brick families call me after something specific happens — a parent slips on the carpeted basement stairs in a Lions Head ranch, a retired teacher in Cedar Village can't carry laundry to the lower level anymore, a daughter in North Jersey driving down every weekend because her mother in Herbertsville hasn't been upstairs in two months.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and hand you a written quote that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. I've been doing this across Ocean County for 15+ years.
