Stairlift Service Across King County

King County, WA

From the waterfront condos of Moss Bay — where HOA accommodation letters are routine — to the 1970s split-levels of Rose Hill and Kingsgate where curved rails thread past mid-landing turns, our team has mapped every neighborhood. We know which Juanita homes have narrow stair widths requiring a slim-profile seat, which Houghton mid-century estates have open-riser floating staircases needing reinforced brackets, and which Totem Lake and Finn Hill subdivisions have carpeted stairs where our anchoring system grips without pulling fibers. We also staff dedicated Eastside coverage for Redmond, Woodinville, Kenmore, and Bellevue — your tech never drives across the 520 bridge from Seattle.

Straight

Houghton craftsman — straight rail on original fir hardwood treads

Houghton, WA Installed March 2026

A 1948 craftsman in Houghton with original Douglas fir treads and a hand-turned fir banister the family had refinished twice over 78 years. Mrs. Nakamura’s daughter called from Redmond after her mother slipped on the top step carrying laundry. We specified the slim-profile rail in a dark bronze finish that sits close to the fir grain, bolted the track into the treads only — never touched the banister, the wall, or the original plaster — and parked the chair flush at the bottom landing where it tucks behind the newel post. The entire install took three and a half hours.

Rose Hill split-level — curved rail past a 90-degree landing turn

Rose Hill, WA Installed February 2026

A 1972 split-level in Rose Hill — five steps from the entry to the main floor, a 90-degree landing, then nine more steps to the bedrooms. Every national chain the Petersens called quoted two separate lifts with a walking transfer at the landing. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single continuous curved rail, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so Mr. Petersen steps off onto the carpet instead of balancing on the top tread. The house had settled slightly over 54 years — we shimmed three brackets to keep the rail dead-level.

Juanita lakeside cottage — straight rail on stone-faced interior steps

Juanita, WA Installed January 2026

A 1960s lakeside cottage near Juanita Bay with an interior staircase faced in local fieldstone — a decorative choice common in Pacific Northwest mid-century homes. The stone veneer sits over a wooden substructure, so we drilled through the stone facing into the solid fir stringers beneath, used stainless steel expansion anchors rated for the substrate, and sealed every penetration against the moisture that Pacific Northwest basements push upward through the treads. Mr. Lindgren is 84 and had been sleeping in the den for three months. He slept in his own bedroom the night we installed.

Moss Bay entry — weather-sealed outdoor rail on stone paving steps

Moss Bay, WA Installed December 2025

A renovated 1940s bungalow near downtown Kirkland with a raised front entry, six exterior stone-paved steps, and a covered porch that gets full Pacific Northwest rain exposure from October through May. Mrs. Choi’s son called after she slipped on the wet stone coming back from the Saturday farmers market on Park Lane. We anchored the rail through the stone pavers into the concrete substrate with marine-grade stainless hardware, sealed every motor housing to IP55, and installed a cream-colored weather-resistant seat that parks at the porch landing. Eight months through a full Kirkland winter without a single corrosion flag or service call.

Kingsgate colonial — straight rail on deep-pile carpeted stairs

Kingsgate, WA Installed November 2025

A 1985 colonial in Kingsgate with deep-pile carpeted stairs and a foam pad underneath that compresses unevenly under standard bracket pressure. Two other companies told the Walshes they’d need to rip out the carpet first. We used our compression-plate mounting system that distributes bracket load across a wider area, bolted through the carpet and pad into the solid plywood tread below, and tested every anchor point under full weight. The carpet shows no crush marks, no pulled fibers, and no visible fastener heads. Mr. Walsh rode the lift home after his knee replacement without putting weight on the stairs once.

Platform Lift

Totem Lake residence — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety edges

Totem Lake, WA Installed October 2025

A 2001 two-story home near The Village at Totem Lake where Mr. Reeves, a retired Boeing engineer, uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury. A seated stairlift was never an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an indoor wheelchair platform lift on the main staircase with a flat anti-slip platform, high-visibility yellow safety edges along the perimeter, and automatic fold-down ramps at both levels. The platform clears a 34-inch power chair with room to spare. A keyed lockout prevents unsupervised use by the grandchildren.

Common Questions

Everything Kirkland Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Kirkland right now?

Straight rails in standard Kirkland homes — the two-story colonials in Houghton, the ramblers-gone-vertical in Rose Hill, the townhouses near Totem Lake — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you’ll need for most 1970s split-levels in Kingsgate, Rose Hill, and Finn Hill because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry, run $9,000 to $15,000. Outdoor models with marine-grade coating for lakefront entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Kirkland prices higher because of the Eastside housing market?

Equipment prices are identical whether you’re in a Moss Bay waterfront condo or a Kenmore rambler. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: HOA documentation for Carillon Point or Lakeview complexes, reinforced mounting for Houghton open-riser staircases, and marine-grade coating on any outdoor install near the lake. We itemize every charge upfront. No ‘Eastside premium’ on the invoice.

Do you charge extra for condo or HOA installs?

No. Our quote includes the HOA reasonable-accommodation packet we prepare on your behalf. Washington’s Reasonable Accommodation rules under RCW 49.60 generally require associations to approve accessibility equipment for residents with documented disabilities. We’ve worked with Kirkland waterfront condo boards, Houghton homeowner associations, and Totem Lake townhome HOAs — the documentation is already templated. If a board requires its own engineer’s letter, we tell you before we start.

Do you offer financing if I don’t qualify for COPES or HISA?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Kirkland families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction or a partial HISA grant to bring the monthly payment down further. We walk you through the math during the free assessment — on paper, not a tablet screen you can’t read.

A word from Luis

Most Kirkland families reach out after a fall scare on the stairs of a waterfront condo near Moss Bay, or a grown daughter in Bellevue calling about her mother’s 1970s split-level off Rose Hill Road where the stairs have been off-limits since a hip replacement last winter.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
