Stairlift Service Across King County

King County, WA

From the 1960s split-levels of Somerset — where the conversation is almost always about preserving original oak treads and fitting a rail past a mid-staircase landing turn — to the wooded colonials of Bridle Trails where the houses sit on acre lots behind Douglas fir canopy, our team has mapped every Eastside neighborhood. We know which Crossroads and Factoria homes have the simple straight runs that install in three hours, which Newport Hills and Woodridge ramblers have the raised front entries that need marine-grade outdoor rails, and which Clyde Hill and Medina estates require curved fabrication for formal staircases that turn at the upper landing.

Straight

Somerset split-level — straight rail on original oak stairs

Somerset, WA Installed March 2026

A 1967 split-level in Somerset with original oak treads the family refused to replace. Mrs. Nakamura had been sleeping on the couch for three weeks after a knee replacement at Overlake Medical Center. Her son called on a Monday, we measured Tuesday, and installed by Thursday afternoon. The rail bolts into the stair treads only — zero contact with the banister, zero damage to the oak. The battery backup has already handled two winter power outages without a hiccup.

Curved

Bridle Trails colonial — curved rail past the upper landing turn

Bridle Trails, WA Installed February 2026

A 1972 colonial in Bridle Trails with a wide staircase and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. A national chain had quoted two separate straight rails requiring a mid-staircase transfer. We laser-scanned the entire run and fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mrs. Johansson from the foyer to the upstairs hallway in one continuous ride. The swivel-exit seat at the top lets her step off directly onto the hardwood landing.

Crossroads cottage — straight rail alongside stone-wall entry stairs

Crossroads, WA Installed January 2026

A remodeled 1958 cottage near the Crossroads shopping center with interior stairs flanked by a decorative stone half-wall on one side. Two other companies said the stone wall made installation impossible. We mounted the track on the open tread side, ran the rail tight against the wall line, and the chair folds flat enough that grandchildren still walk past without squeezing. Mr. Chen is 84 and has used the lift every day since January without a single service call.

Outdoor

Newport Hills front entry — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving

Newport Hills, WA Installed December 2025

A 1970s rambler in Newport Hills with a raised front entry — seven exterior stone steps up from the driveway to the front door, no handrail, and Pacific Northwest rain that makes the stone slippery from October through April. Mr. Bergstrom is a Korean War-era veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through VA Puget Sound. The outdoor rail is marine-grade coated against Puget Sound moisture, UV-sealed, and the motor housing carries an IP55 weather rating. It has run through an entire Eastside winter without a service call.

Factoria townhome — straight rail on carpeted stairs, same-day assessment

Factoria, WA Installed November 2025

A 2008 townhome in Factoria with carpeted stairs, standard width, and zero complications. Mrs. Patel had a spinal fusion at Overlake and her physical therapist recommended a stairlift before discharge. Her daughter called Wednesday, we measured Thursday morning, and the lift was running by Friday at noon. The rail bolts through the carpet into the treads beneath — no carpet removal, no re-stretching, no mess.

Platform Lift

Woodridge accessible remodel — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety edges

Woodridge, WA Installed October 2025

A 1975 rambler in Woodridge where Mr. Torres uses a power wheelchair full-time after a stroke. The four-step interior level change between the garage entry and the main living floor required a wheelchair platform lift — not a seated stairlift. We installed a flat platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on every border, controls mounted at wheelchair height on both levels, and an automatic safety gate that locks before the platform moves. Mr. Torres rolls on, presses one button, and rolls off on the main floor.

Common Questions

Everything Bellevue Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Bellevue right now?

Straight rails in standard Bellevue homes — the 1960s Somerset split-levels, Factoria townhomes, Crossroads cottages — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, required for most Bridle Trails colonials and Somerset homes with landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for the raised front entries common across Newport Hills and Woodridge run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Bellevue prices higher than other Eastside cities?

Equipment prices are identical whether you live in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, or Issaquah — we don't inflate quotes based on zip code. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: stone half-walls in older Crossroads homes, HOA paperwork in Bellevue high-rise condos, or marine-grade coating on outdoor installs near Lake Washington. We itemize everything upfront. No surprise Eastside premiums.

Does the marine-grade outdoor coating cost extra?

No. Every outdoor Bellevue install ships with marine-grade rail coating standard — the Puget Sound climate demands it. National chains price this as a $400 add-on. We include it because an outdoor rail on the Eastside without marine coating starts corroding within 18 months. Our quote covers the coating, the UV seal, and the IP55 weather-rated motor housing. No line-item surprises.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift cheaper in Bellevue?

Used straight rails run $1,500 to $2,800 installed — roughly half the cost of new. We recondition every unit in-house: new batteries, new upholstery, factory-tested motor and safety sensors. Curved rails cannot be reused because every curved track is fabricated to one specific staircase. If your Somerset split-level or Factoria townhome has a standard straight run, a refurbished unit is a solid option. Same warranty on labor and rail, same 24-hour service coverage.

A word from Luis

Most Bellevue families call me after a fall scare — a slip on the hardwood stairs in a Somerset split-level, a retired Microsoft engineer who can't reach the upstairs bedrooms after a hip replacement, a daughter in San Francisco worried about her mother alone in a Bridle Trails colonial she's owned since 1978.

I drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and hand you a written quote that's honored for 30 days. The Eastside has some of the most complex staircases in the state — curved colonials in Bridle Trails, stone half-walls in Crossroads cottages, raised entries across Newport Hills — and I've measured every one of them. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
