Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across King County

King County, WA

From the tree-lined streets of Downtown Bothell — where early-1900s Craftsman bungalows sit alongside mid-century ranches near the Sammamish River — to the spacious two-story colonials and split-levels of Canyon Park, our team has measured staircases across every Bothell neighborhood. North Creek’s 1980s and 1990s production homes typically have standard 36-inch-wide stairwells with carpeted treads that take straight rails without modification. Queensborough’s hillside lots produce split-level entries where a curved rail threads through a mid-landing turn. Country Village’s older homes near the Sammamish often have steep, narrow stairwells original to their postwar construction. Brickyard and Maywood feature newer townhomes with open-riser staircases that require specific mounting brackets. The persistent Pacific Northwest moisture means every outdoor install in Bothell gets marine-grade stainless fasteners and weather-sealed motor housings as standard.

1970s North Creek colonial — straight rail on carpeted treads

North Creek, WA Installed March 2026

A 1978 colonial in the North Creek neighborhood with 14 carpeted treads and a standard 36-inch-wide stairwell. Mrs. Nakamura had been sleeping in the downstairs family room for two weeks after a fall on the stairs left her with a fractured wrist. Her daughter called on Monday and we measured Tuesday morning. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath — no carpet removal, no damage to the pile. The seat parks at the bottom of the stairs and folds flat against the wall, leaving the full stairway width for other family members. Mrs. Nakamura slept in her own bedroom that night.

1972 Queensborough split-level — curved rail through a 90° landing

Queensborough, WA Installed February 2026

A 1972 split-level in Queensborough with four steps from the front entry to the living area, a 90-degree landing, then ten more steps to the bedrooms. Mr. Mitchell is a retired Boeing machinist who has lived in this house since 1985. We laser-scanned the full run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries him from the entry to the upper hallway without stopping, and installed a swivel-exit seat so he steps off onto carpet instead of balancing on the top tread. His wife said two other companies told them they would need two separate lifts at double the cost.

1920s Downtown Bothell Craftsman — slim-profile rail on original fir treads

Downtown Bothell, WA Installed January 2026

A 1924 Craftsman bungalow in Downtown Bothell with steep, narrow stairs and original Douglas fir treads. The brown-upholstered seat sits near the wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs in the entry hall. The dense old-growth fir gave the slim-profile rail solid anchoring — folded, the seat and rail together take up just 11 inches from the wall, leaving 20 inches of clear passage on the 31-inch-wide staircase. We never touched the original banister. Mrs. Sullivan’s physical therapist from EvergreenHealth said it was one of the cleanest installs she had seen in a historic Bothell home.

Country Village ranch — outdoor lift with marine-grade hardware on mossy porch steps

Country Village, WA Installed December 2025

A 1960s ranch near Country Village with a raised front porch and eight concrete steps that collect moss and standing water from October through May. Mr. Donovan slipped on the moss twice last fall before his daughter called. We installed the outdoor lift with 316 marine-grade stainless fasteners instead of standard zinc-plated, an IP55-sealed motor housing that keeps out rain and wind-driven moisture, and a fitted cover that sheds water and prevents moss growth on the seat. The battery backup keeps the lift running during winter storm power outages — common along the Sammamish River corridor. Mr. Donovan hasn’t worried about those steps since.

Brickyard townhome — straight rail on open-riser staircase

Brickyard, WA Installed November 2025

A 2008 townhome in the Brickyard development with an open-riser staircase and engineered hardwood treads. Mrs. Chen’s mother moved in after a stroke and the open risers made the stairs feel unsafe for her. We used specific open-riser mounting brackets that clamp onto the tread nosing without drilling through the open gaps. The rail bolts into the solid tread surface, and the seat folds flat against the wall when not in use. The wider 38-inch stairwell in this newer construction left plenty of room for other family members to walk past the folded unit.

Platform Lift

Maywood home — inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Maywood, WA Installed October 2025

A two-story home in the Maywood neighborhood where Mr. Hernandez uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected spinal injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot activate it unsupervised. The HISA grant covered the full $6,800 service-connected maximum, and the COPES Waiver covered the remaining balance through his DSHS Home and Community Services coordinator. Mr. Hernandez rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides the incline to the upper floor without ever leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Bothell Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Bothell, WA?

Straight rails in standard Bothell homes — the North Creek production builds, the Canyon Park colonials, the Country Village ranches — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for landing turns in Queensborough split-levels and Downtown Bothell Craftsmen run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Why do curved stairlifts cost so much more than straight?

A straight rail is extruded aluminum cut to length — the same profile fits almost every Bothell home. A curved rail is digitally scanned and bent to match your exact staircase geometry: the angle of every tread, the radius of every turn, the position of every newel post. That fabrication takes 7 to 14 days and doubles the material cost. In Queensborough and Ferndale Terrace, where split-level entries with mid-landing turns are common, the curved rail is the only option that carries you from entry to bedroom in a single continuous ride.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story home?

Moving costs in the Bothell housing market — real estate commission, closing costs, packing, new deposit — typically run $25,000 to $60,000 minimum given current King County home values. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $2,800 to $5,500 and lets you stay in the home you’ve owned for decades, in the neighborhood you know, near EvergreenHealth and the doctors you already see. For most Bothell families, the stairlift costs less than the real estate commission alone.

Do you offer financing in Bothell?

Yes. We offer fixed-rate financing from $79 per month with no prepayment penalties. Most Bothell homeowners choose 36- or 60-month terms. You can also combine financing with VA HISA grant funds or Washington COPES Waiver coverage to reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket cost. We walk you through every option during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Bothell families call after a scare on the stairs — a slip on the hardwood run in a Canyon Park colonial, a father who hasn’t been upstairs since hip replacement surgery at EvergreenHealth, a daughter in Seattle worried about her parents in a 1970s North Creek split-level they’ve owned for decades and refuse to leave.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
