Straight Stairlift

The workhorse of Chandler's master-planned two-stories — Ocotillo, Sun Groves, Pecos Ranch.

Over 70% of the stairlifts we install in the East Valley are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next monsoon-season power outage. Most Chandler installs wrap in under four hours. Every unit ships with the Arizona heat-spec package — high-temp lubricant, UV-stable fabric, sealed gearing.

Starting at $3,200 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls
  • Soft start and soft stop motion
  • Fold-up seat, arms, and footrest
  • 10-year motor & gearbox warranty

Compared to Alternatives

vs Curved: 3x less expensive and installed in one visit. vs Home elevator: 10-15x less cost and no construction. vs Moving bedroom downstairs: Keeps your home exactly as it is.

Stairlift Service Across Maricopa County

Maricopa County, AZ

Ocotillo in south Chandler has tile-over-concrete two-stories built between 1998 and 2010 with open foyers and staircases designed for young families, not aging residents. Sun Lakes immediately south markets itself as single-story, but sunken great rooms, raised master suites, and garage-entry steps create daily fall risks. Andersen Springs tracts from the late 1980s have L-shaped staircases with mid-landing turns that require curved rails. Downtown Chandler bungalows near Arizona Avenue have narrow treads and original iron railings needing compact-profile installs. Pecos Ranch and Sun Groves subdivisions from the 2000s share the same 14-tread straight run with tile-on-concrete that installs in under three hours.

We also serve Gilbert, Tempe, Mesa, Queen Creek, and Sun Lakes at the same pricing — no mileage surcharge anywhere in the East Valley.

Ocotillo two-story — straight rail on dark hardwood treads in a warm foyer

Ocotillo, AZ Installed March 2026

A 2003 Ocotillo two-story with dark hardwood treads and an open-tread staircase in a warm residential foyer. Mrs. Brennan's orthopedist said the stairs had to go or her knee would. We bolted the straight rail to the right side of the hardwood treads, confirmed the beige seat folds flush at the bottom landing, and had the heat-spec motor running before lunch. The warm-toned foyer looks exactly the same — just with a folded seat waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

Andersen Springs split-level — curved rail bending around the upper landing

Andersen Springs, AZ Installed January 2026

A 1988 split-level in Andersen Springs with an L-shaped staircase and a 90-degree turn at the upper floor. Two other companies said two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall balustrade at the upper landing, and installed a brown-upholstered swivel-exit seat that parks at the top hallway. Mrs. Garcia's mother steps off onto the upper floor hallway and rides from the family room to the bedrooms in one continuous trip.

Downtown Chandler bungalow — compact rail in a cozy traditional stairway

Downtown Chandler, AZ Installed October 2025

An older Downtown Chandler bungalow near Arizona Avenue with stone-tile treads and a compact stairway next to a wooden sideboard the family refused to move. We fitted the brown-upholstered slim-profile seat at the bottom of the stairs in the cozy traditional space, and the rail bolts directly into the tile treads. The cottage-style interior with its warm tones stayed completely intact — Mrs. Sandoval's grandchildren still use the stairs freely.

Sun Lakes garage entry — outdoor lift on stone-paved porch steps

Sun Lakes, AZ Installed November 2025

Mr. Winslow is a retired Air Force colonel in Sun Lakes Ironwood. The three stone-paved steps from the garage to the covered porch entry became his biggest daily obstacle after a hip replacement. We installed a cream-colored weather-resistant seat on an outdoor rail over the rough natural stone paving, with sealed gear housing and the Arizona monsoon dust package. He qualified for a partial HISA grant through the Phoenix VA — we prefilled the form and had authorization back in five weeks.

Pecos Ranch two-story — carpeted stairs with swivel-exit at the landing

Pecos Ranch, AZ Installed December 2025

A 2001 Pecos Ranch two-story with 14 carpeted treads and a tight newel post at the bottom. Mrs. Ogden's husband caught his foot on the top tread the previous month. We bolted the rail through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath and installed a brown-upholstered seat that matches the carpet tones. The swivel-exit seat rotates 90 degrees at the upper landing for a safer step-off, and the fold-up footrest keeps the carpeted stairway clear.

Platform Lift

Sun Groves home — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a full-time chair user

Sun Groves, AZ Installed February 2026

A 2005 Sun Groves two-story where Mr. Hartley uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform, yellow high-visibility safety edges on the platform and gate thresholds, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The orange-toned walls frame the installation. He rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and exits on the upper floor without ever leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Chandler Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Chandler right now?

Straight rails in standard Chandler two-stories — the Ocotillo tile stairs, the Sun Groves open foyers, the Pecos Ranch tracts — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for Andersen Springs split-levels and any staircase with a 90° landing turn run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries and garage-to-house transitions run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Chandler than Scottsdale or Mesa?

Equipment prices are the same across the Phoenix metro — we don't inflate quotes for Ocotillo or Sun Lakes addresses. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: the extra-wide tile treads in some luxury Ocotillo builds, the retrofit work on 1980s Andersen Springs split-levels, or the occasional electrical upgrade in an older Downtown Chandler home. Line items are on the quote upfront. No surprise surcharges.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering in this heat?

For straight staircases, a certified refurbished unit can save 30-40% — we carry factory-reconditioned straight rails with new upholstery, new batteries, and a 2-year warranty. Every refurbished unit ships with the same Arizona heat-spec package (high-temp lubricant, UV-stable fabric, sealed gearing) as a new install. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never an option because the rail is custom-built. Ask during the assessment and we'll tell you honestly whether refurbished makes sense for your staircase.

Does the Sun Lakes HOA add cost?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork — we've worked with every Sun Lakes recreation association phase and keep the architectural-review templates on file. Federal Fair Housing Act and Arizona's ARS § 41-1491 require the HOA to grant reasonable accommodations for documented disabilities. The only rare add-on is if the board requests an independent engineer's letter, and that hasn't happened in our last 30 Sun Lakes installs.

A word from Luis

Most Chandler families call me after the second close call — a stumble on the tile stairs in an Ocotillo two-story, a parent who stopped going upstairs after a hip replacement, or a Sun Lakes resident whose single-story home has a sunken living room with three steps that became the most dangerous spot in the house.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
