Stairlift Service Across Salt Lake County

Salt Lake County, UT

We know which Corner Canyon homes have the 16-riser staircase where a standard rail fits in four hours, and which layouts have the landing turn that requires a custom curved fabrication. The Suncrest community on the ridge above Draper presents an additional variable: elevation. We spec the altitude-rated cooling profile on every Suncrest motor because the factory sea-level configuration underperforms above 5,500 feet. South Mountain and Galena Park homes built in the early 2000s typically have a straight 14-to-16-foot run that installs in under three hours.

We also serve Bluffdale, White City, Alpine, Sandy, Riverton, and Lehi across the Salt Lake south corridor and northern Utah County — same pricing, no travel surcharge.

Corner Canyon two-story — straight rail on oak treads, altitude-rated motor

Corner Canyon, UT Installed March 2026

A 2003 two-story in the Corner Canyon subdivision with 15 oak-tread risers between the main floor and the upstairs bedrooms. Mr. Andersen had total knee replacement at Intermountain Health’s Murray campus in February and came home to stairs he simply couldn’t manage on a bad knee day. His daughter called on a Tuesday, Luis was at the house Wednesday morning. The motor went in with the altitude-rated cooling profile calibrated for Draper’s 4,600-foot elevation, and the rail bolted into the dark hardwood treads without touching the painted walls or the wood banister.

Suncrest hillside home — curved rail through a 90° landing turn at 5,800 ft

Suncrest, UT Installed February 2026

A Suncrest ridge home at 5,800 feet with a split staircase — nine risers from the garage entry to a landing, then a 90-degree turn and six more risers to the main living floor. Two installers told Mrs. Halverson she’d need two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the full run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and calibrated the motor for sub-zero Suncrest overnight temperatures. The swivel-exit seat rotates her to face the hallway so she steps off on solid floor. One ride, no transfers, one warranty.

South Mountain cottage — straight rail on stone treads in a compact stairwell

South Mountain, UT Installed January 2026

A compact South Mountain home with 14 stone-tread risers and a wooden sideboard at the bottom landing. The stairwell is narrower than most Draper new-builds, but the folded seat and rail take up just 11 inches of stair width. Mrs. Christensen’s biggest concern was getting off the lift at the top — her mother had caught her foot on a top tread stepping off a competitor’s unit. We installed the powered swivel-exit seat, which rotates 90 degrees at the upper landing so she stands on the hallway floor. The rail goes into the stone treads with masonry anchors — no damage to the cottage-style walls or the potted plants on the adjacent sideboard.

Pioneer Road raised entry — weather-sealed stairlift on stone porch steps

Pioneer Road, UT Installed December 2025

A Pioneer Road home at the Draper-Sandy boundary with a raised front entry — six exposed stone-paved steps leading up to the front door with a carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom. Mr. Tanner’s orthopedic surgeon at the U of U Health Draper clinic had been asking him for months to address the entry. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor stairlift with a cream seat, freeze-thaw gasket kit for the Wasatch Front’s -15°F overnight lows, and IP55 motor sealing rated against Draper’s spring windstorms. Natural daylight floods the covered porch from above. The unit rode through two February snowstorms without a service call.

Galena Park split-level — straight rail on carpeted stairs with landing dismount

Galena Park, UT Installed November 2025

A 2004 Galena Park split-level with carpeted stairs between the main living floor and the upper bedrooms. The brown carpet runs up 13 risers to a small tiled landing area before the hallway. Mr. Nielsen’s adult daughter in Sacramento arranged the install remotely — Luis let her join the home assessment on a video call so she could see the staircase geometry and hear the measurements in real time. The rail bolted through the carpet into the wooden treads below without removing a single carpet tack. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet tones so naturally the grandchildren barely noticed the addition. Wall-mounted light switches stayed clear of the rail path.

Platform Lift

Corner Canyon wheelchair platform lift — indoor inclined platform for full-time chair user

Corner Canyon, UT Installed October 2025

A Corner Canyon two-story where Mr. Park uses a wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway between the main floor and the upper bedrooms. The flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges carries the wheelchair straight up the stair run. A white handrail on the platform wall gives the rider a grip point during travel. The warm terracotta-toned walls and window light in the stairwell remain unobstructed. Mr. Park rolls on, rides up, and rolls off — no transfers, no assistance needed.

Common Questions

Everything Draper Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Draper, UT right now?

Straight rails in standard Draper homes — the Corner Canyon two-stories, the Galena Park contemporaries, the South Mountain ranches — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you’ll need for Suncrest split-levels and Corner Canyon homes with a landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries on Pioneer Road and east-facing hillside homes run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Does altitude in Draper affect what kind of motor you use — and does that cost more?

Draper sits between 4,400 and 5,800 feet depending on your neighborhood. We calibrate the motor controller for Wasatch Front elevation on every Utah install — it’s not an upgrade, it’s the standard configuration. The factory sea-level default underperforms above 4,000 feet and shortens motor life. You pay the same price as a flat-land install. We just do the configuration correctly.

Is a stairlift less expensive than moving to a single-story in Draper?

Moving in Salt Lake County right now typically costs $40,000 to $70,000 all-in — real estate commission, closing costs, Wasatch Front moving rates, and a down payment gap if your new home carries today’s interest rates. A straight stairlift installs in a half-day for $2,800 to $5,500 and keeps you in the neighborhood you know, near the Intermountain Health or U of U Health provider you already see. For most Draper families, the lift costs less than the commission on the house they’d be selling.

Do you offer financing for Draper homeowners?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79 per month. Application is a soft credit pull (no score impact), takes about four minutes, and approval is usually same-day. Many families combine financing with a partial HISA grant or the IRS medical deduction to bring the monthly payment down further. Luis walks you through the options during the free in-home assessment.

A word from Luis

Draper’s housing stock is almost entirely two-story — the Corner Canyon subdivisions, the Suncrest hillside homes, the walkout basements on the south-facing lots of Pioneer Road. Most families call after one of the parents stops using the upper floor entirely, not after a fall. The stairs are fine physically, but the knees, hips, or balance say otherwise.

My job is straightforward: arrive within 24 hours, measure your staircase with a laser, and leave you with a written quote honored for 30 days. No sales pitch, no pressure. I’ll also tell you upfront whether your home needs the altitude-rated motor spec — almost every Draper install does, and it’s built into our standard price, not tacked on later.
