Straight Stairlift

The workhorse of South Jordan's subdivisions — from SilverLake colonials to Daybreak three-stories.

Over 70% of the stairlifts we install in South Jordan are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the altitude-rated battery backup keeps you moving through the next winter storm power outage. Daybreak and the 1990s east-side subdivisions have consistent framing and wide stair runs — most installs wrap in under three hours.

Starting at $3,200 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls
  • Soft start and soft stop motion

Compared to Alternatives

vs Curved: 3x less expensive and installed in one visit. vs Home elevator: 10-15x less cost and no construction. vs Moving bedroom downstairs: Keeps your home exactly as it is.

Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Salt Lake County

Salt Lake County, UT

Daybreak is the largest source of our South Jordan installs — three-story floor plans put the master suite on the top floor and the family room in the basement. The Founders Village homes (built 2004–2008) have original owners approaching retirement. Garden Park Village is a 55+ active-adult community where we have installed in multiple units. Creekside and SouthStation villages have wider staircases and modern construction that installs in under three hours.

East of Bangerter Highway, Glenmoor Country Estates and Oquirrh Park are the 1980s–90s subdivisions where the stairlift conversation happens most — two-story colonials with the master upstairs and homeowners who have been in the same house for 25–30 years. Riverfront along the Jordan River has newer construction with modern stairwells. We also cover Riverton, West Jordan, Herriman, and Bluffdale from this base.

1993 Glenmoor Country Estates colonial — straight rail on freshly refinished hardwood treads

Glenmoor Country Estates, UT Installed March 2026

A 1993 colonial in Glenmoor Country Estates where the family replaced carpet with engineered hardwood on all 14 treads. Mrs. Sorensen was concerned about bracket damage to the new floor. We matched the bracket finish to the hardwood tone, drilled through both the engineered hardwood and the original plywood subfloor for structural anchoring, and installed a folding footrest so the seat parks tight against the wall. She rides the lift four times daily with zero finish damage after three months.

Oquirrh Park split-level — curved rail through a 90° landing turn

Oquirrh Park, UT Installed February 2026

A late-1980s split-level in Oquirrh Park with a half-landing turn between the entry level and the upper bedrooms. Mr. Jensen was recovering from a knee replacement and had been sleeping in the basement recliner for two months. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail for a continuous ride from the entry to the upper hallway, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top landing. Cold-weather lubricant and altitude-rated battery are standard on every South Jordan install.

Daybreak Founders Village — quiet motor in a three-story floor plan

Daybreak, UT Installed January 2026

A 2006 Founders Village home with the master suite on the top floor and an open floor plan that carries sound from one end of the house to the other. Mrs. Nguyen's mother was recovering from a hip replacement and had been sleeping on the living room couch for three weeks. We installed a straight rail with a soft-start/soft-stop motor calibrated to minimize noise through the open stairwell. Her mother now sleeps upstairs every night and rides down at her own pace each morning.

Spring View Farms entry steps — cold-weather outdoor rail for a north-facing entry

Spring View Farms, UT Installed December 2025

An older rambler in Spring View Farms with seven exterior concrete steps that ice over from November through March. Mr. Christensen had fallen twice on the north-facing entry in previous winters. We installed an outdoor rail with cold-weather lithium batteries rated to -10°F, a sealed IP55 motor housing, and anti-slip tread coating on the landing zone. The rail held through the entire inversion season without a single service call. No travel fee anywhere in Salt Lake County.

Riverfront two-story — bilingual walkthrough for a Spanish-speaking household

Riverfront, UT Installed November 2025

A two-story home in Riverfront where the grandmother speaks only Spanish. Luis conducted the entire consultation in Spanish at the kitchen table, walked through every button and safety feature, and answered questions from three generations of the family. We installed a straight rail with a swivel-exit seat and altitude-rated battery. A Spanish-language operating manual stays clipped to the wall charger. The grandmother now sleeps upstairs every night instead of on the front-room couch.

Daybreak, UT Installed October 2025

A Garden Park Village 55+ community home where Mr. Olsen was recovering from hip-replacement surgery at 320 pounds — above the standard 300 lb model's safe operating limit. We installed a 600 lb heavy-duty platform lift with a 22-inch padded seat and altitude-rated motor calibration. The Daybreak Community Association approved the reasonable-accommodation request in four days. Common Questions

Everything South Jordan Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in South Jordan right now?

Straight rails in standard South Jordan homes — the Daybreak three-stories, the Glenmoor colonials, the Oquirrh Park two-stories — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for homes with landing turns cost $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for icy entries run $4,000 to $7,500 and include cold-weather lithium batteries. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, altitude-rated battery, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Daybreak than the older east-side neighborhoods?

Equipment pricing is identical across all South Jordan neighborhoods. Standard features on every install include altitude-rated motor calibration and cold-weather lubricant. What varies is the install type: the three-story Daybreak floor plans sometimes need two straight rails (basement to main and main to upper), while the 1990s Glenmoor and Oquirrh Park colonials are almost always a single straight run. Older homes may need a dedicated 20-amp circuit if the panel is undersized. The rail type and electrical work drive the price, not the address.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Luis provides bilingual assessments in Spanish on request. All printed quotes, consent forms, and operator manuals are available in Spanish at no charge. South Jordan has a growing Spanish-speaking population, and we have provided bilingual installs since 2014. Zero surcharge, zero translation delay — the consultation runs exactly the same way it does in English.

Any hidden fees for HOA installs in Daybreak or Glenmoor?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. The Fair Housing Act requires HOA boards to approve documented disability accommodations, backed by Utah's Condominium Ownership Act. We have worked with the Daybreak Community Association and Glenmoor boards on multiple installs. The only potential third-party fee is a structural engineer letter ($350–$600) if your board requests one — and most do not.

A word from Luis

South Jordan calls usually start the same way. A grown child in Daybreak realizes their parent in the older east-side subdivisions hasn't been upstairs in weeks. A retiree in SilverLake postpones a hip replacement because he can't figure out how he'll manage the stairs during recovery. A daughter in River's Edge watches her mother grip the banister with both hands on every trip to the second-floor bedroom and decides it's time to stop worrying.

My job is simple: get to your South Jordan address within 24 hours, measure once, and hold the price for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
