Stairlift Service Across Salt Lake County

Salt Lake County, UT

Herriman Town Center and the newer subdivisions radiating south toward the Oquirrh foothills share a consistent stair geometry: 13 to 16 straight treads, open or closed risers, usually carpeted. These are the fastest installs in our Salt Lake County schedule — three to four hours, no surprises. Butterfield Canyon and Mountain View Corridor homes sit at higher elevations along the western slope, where wind exposure drives outdoor-install specs: stainless hardware, sealed motor housings, cold-pack batteries rated to −30°F. Rosecrest is where we occasionally see the older Herriman housing stock with narrower stair widths that need the compact-profile rail. We also cover Riverton, Bluffdale, and South Jordan with no travel surcharge.

Straight

Anthem colonial — straight rail on dark hardwood stairs

Anthem, UT Installed March 2026

A 2008 colonial in Anthem with dark hardwood open-tread stairs and a warm residential interior. The beige seat sits unfolded at the bottom of the staircase, and the straight rail runs up the right side, bolted directly into the oak tread nosing. Mrs. Hansen had been gripping the handrail with both hands since her knee replacement in December. The altitude-calibrated motor handles the 4,500-foot elevation without running hot, and the battery backup tested clean through a full charge cycle before we left.

Rosecrest split-level — curved rail bending at the upper landing

Rosecrest, UT Installed February 2026

A 1996 split-level in Rosecrest with a 90-degree turn at the upper floor landing. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the top where the curved rail bends around the half-wall balustrade. The modern interior — chandelier above, framed art on the wall — called for a clean finish on the rail hardware. Mr. Nakamura’s mother had been sleeping downstairs for four months. She moved back to her bedroom the morning after install, stepping off the swivel seat directly onto the upstairs hallway floor.

Herriman Town Center — straight rail in a compact traditional home

Herriman Town Center, UT Installed January 2026

A compact traditional-style home near Herriman Town Center with stone-tile treads and a wooden sideboard with a potted plant at the bottom of the stairs. The brown-upholstered seat sits at the bottom landing next to the furniture — tight quarters, but the slim-profile rail keeps enough clearance for the family to walk past. The cottage-like feel of the stairwell meant the rail finish needed to complement warm wood tones rather than stand out against them. Mrs. Christoffersen’s daughter coordinated the install from Sandy.

Butterfield Canyon — outdoor lift on a stone-paved raised porch entry

Butterfield Canyon, UT Installed October 2025

A newer Butterfield Canyon home with a raised front porch and rough natural stone paving at the entry level. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the base of the outdoor staircase on the stone floor, with natural daylight from above. We anchored the rail into the porch steps with marine-grade stainless hardware and sealed the IP55 motor housing against the Oquirrh-facing winter winds. The carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom provides traction on wet days, and the cold-pack battery is rated to −30°F for full Wasatch Front winter operation.

Fort Herriman — straight rail on carpeted stairs with landing

Fort Herriman, UT Installed December 2025

A home in the Fort Herriman area with carpeted stairs and a landing. The brown-upholstered seat matches the warm carpet tones so closely it almost disappears into the stairway. Carpet-covered treads run the full length of the staircase, and the seat parks at the landing next to a set of wall-mounted light switches. Mr. Sorensen came home from Intermountain Medical Center after bilateral knee replacement — his physical therapist required that he not step onto the top stair when dismounting. The swivel seat rotates 90 degrees so he stands directly on the tiled hallway floor at the bottom of the landing.

Platform Lift

Mountain View Corridor — inclined wheelchair platform lift

Mountain View Corridor, UT Installed September 2025

A Mountain View Corridor townhome where Mrs. Madsen uses a wheelchair and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges along the border. The white handrail runs alongside, and the orange-tinted walls of the stairwell frame the unit with a window letting in natural light. Mrs. Madsen rolls directly onto the platform from her wheelchair, rides the seven steps from the garage level to the main living area, and rolls off at the top. No transfers, no lifting, no avoiding the garage entirely.

Common Questions

Everything Herriman Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Herriman right now?

Straight rails in Herriman’s newer two-story homes run $2,800 to $5,500 installed — that’s the most common install here because the floor plans are generally straightforward. Curved rails, for homes with a landing turn or an L-shaped staircase, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your staircase geometry. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the altitude calibration for Herriman’s 4,500-foot elevation at no extra charge.

Is the altitude calibration extra on the quote?

No. Every install in Herriman ships with a motor controller altitude-calibrated for 4,500 feet, not the factory sea-level default. A motor running at sea-level spec at 4,500 feet runs hotter, wears faster, and shortens the drive system’s lifespan. Altitude calibration is not an upgrade we charge for — it is how we configure every unit before the truck leaves our facility. The equipment price is the same as Salt Lake City or Provo.

Do you offer financing for Herriman homeowners?

Yes — three lending partners offer 0% APR for qualified buyers and fixed monthly plans from $79/month. The application is a soft credit pull that takes about four minutes and returns an instant decision. Many families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction (if a physician documents medical necessity) to bring the monthly payment down further. We walk you through the math during the free assessment.

Are there any hidden fees for newer HOA-managed communities?

Herriman’s newer subdivisions are mostly single-family homes without complex HOA restrictions on interior installations. For the minority of communities with architectural review boards, we provide the FHA documentation packet at no charge — federal Fair Housing Act requires HOAs to approve reasonable accessibility modifications for documented medical need. If an HOA requires an engineer’s letter or additional filing, we tell you before we start, not after.

A word from Luis

Herriman is one of the fastest-growing cities in Utah, and that means a lot of newer two-story homes with staircases that were built for young families — not for the parents who moved out from California or Nevada to be closer to those families. I get calls from sons and daughters who are watching a parent handle the stairs at 4,500 feet and realizing the altitude isn’t the only thing making it harder.

My job is straightforward: I come to your Herriman home within 24 hours, measure the staircase, check the altitude spec on the motor, and leave you with a written quote that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
