Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Salt Lake County

Salt Lake County, UT

Salt Lake County, UT. South Salt Lake stairlift installs span the city's compact 6.9 square miles — from the mid-century brick bungalows of Central Park and Elaine Garden to the newer townhomes near the Central Pointe TRAX station. In Century Villa and Southgate, we see a lot of 1960s split-levels — typically 14 to 16 stairs with oak treads. The Cottages at Nibley community near the golf course has wider staircases, but many units have a curved landing that needs a custom rail. Over by Briar Park, the older 1950s ramblers often have narrow stairwells under 34 inches — we stock compact-rail kits for those. Every neighborhood in South Salt Lake is within 15 minutes of our install crew.

Straight

1958 Rambler, Central Park — straight rail on original oak treads

Central Park, UT Installed March 2026

The Garcias' 1958 brick rambler has the classic narrow staircase these post-war homes are known for — 32 inches wide with original oak treads. Luis measured the stairwell and brought a Slimline straight rail that bolts to the treads. The beige seat parks at the bottom landing, leaving the narrow hallway passable. No wall damage, no drywall work.

Two-Story Near Nibley Park — curved rail at upper landing

Nibley Park, UT Installed January 2026

The Palmers' two-story sits on the edge of Nibley Park Golf Course. Their staircase turns 90 degrees at the mid-landing under a brass chandelier — a full custom curved rail. Luis laser-measured the turn on site, and the rail was bent in-factory. The brown seat parks at the upper landing, out of the way of the front entry.

Compact Condo, Century Villa — straight rail on stone-look tile

Century Villa, UT Installed February 2026

The Nguyens' Century Villa condo has stone-look tile treads — compact but steep, 13 risers in a straight run. Luis used extra bracket anchoring into the tile to avoid cracking. The brown seat tucks beside an antique sideboard at the bottom of the stairs. In an 850-square-foot unit, every inch counts, so the folding rail was essential. Done by noon.

Outdoor

Side Porch Entry, Southgate — outdoor weather-sealed rail

Southgate, UT Installed October 2025

Barbara's Southgate bungalow has a side porch off the kitchen — three stone-paved steps up from the driveway, exposed to full Utah sun and winter snow. Luis installed an IP55-rated outdoor straight lift with a powder-coated rail and a cream UV-stable seat. The track resists road salt and grit from winter plowing and handles freeze-thaw cycles without issue.

Carpeted Rambler, Elaine Garden — straight rail on carpet

Elaine Garden, UT Installed May 2026

The Mitchells' Elaine Garden rambler has wall-to-wall carpet on the stairs — a deep brown that matches the seat upholstery almost exactly. Straight 12-foot run, standard residential install. Luis bolted the rail into the treads through the carpet — no damage to the subfloor or drywall. The seat folds up when not in use so the stairway stays open for visiting grandkids.

Platform Lift

Townhome, Central Pointe — indoor inclined wheelchair platform

Central Pointe, UT Installed April 2026

David uses a wheelchair full-time and lives in a Central Pointe townhome near the TRAX line — the ground floor was fine, but the upstairs bedrooms were cut off. Luis installed an indoor inclined platform lift: flat black deck rated for 600 lb, yellow safety edges, white handrail. The platform folds against the wall when not in use. Battery-backed. David got his upstairs back.

Common Questions

Everything South Salt Lake Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in South Salt Lake?

Straight stairlifts start at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts, which need a custom rail bent to your specific staircase, start at $9,000. Outdoor lifts begin at $4,000, and heavy-duty models rated for 600 lb start at $5,050. Every quote includes installation by our local team — no hidden freight, no subcontractor fees.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more in South Salt Lake?

Curved rails aren't off-the-shelf. Each one is custom-bent to match your exact staircase geometry — measured on site with a laser, then fabricated in-factory. The tight mid-landing turns common in South Salt Lake's 1960s split-levels and two-story homes near Nibley Park require precision bends that add labor and material cost. The measurement visit itself takes about an hour.

Is financing available for a stairlift in South Salt Lake?

Yes — financing starts at $79/month through our third-party partner. Most South Salt Lake homeowners qualify for 12- to 60-month terms with no prepayment penalty. We walk you through the application during the in-home assessment, and you get a decision within minutes.

Are there hidden costs with a South Salt Lake stairlift install?

No. The price we quote is the price you pay. It includes the rail, the chair, delivery, installation, and a walk-through demo. The only exception: if your home's electrical panel is very old (common in pre-1960 homes in Elaine Garden or Central Park), you may need a dedicated outlet — that's a 15-minute job for any local electrician.

A word from Luis

I've put stairlifts into every corner of South Salt Lake — from the 1950s brick ramblers in Central Park and Elaine Garden to the newer townhomes near the Central Pointe TRAX line. What I tell every family at the assessment is the same: your house was built in an era when nobody thought about aging in place, but that doesn't mean you have to move. Most of these homes have narrow staircases, sure, but they're straight runs, and that keeps a straight rail at $2,800 with the install done in under three hours.

The split-levels in Century Villa and Southgate and the two-story homes near Nibley Park are where we bend a custom curved rail to the mid-landing turn. On funding, the George E. Wahlen VA on Foothill Drive processes HISA grants, and the South Jordan clinic does the same closer to home — $6,800 covers a straight rail for service-connected veterans. Utah's New Choices Waiver picks up home access modifications when you qualify, and I walk every family through the paperwork before anyone signs anything.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

South Salt Lake's housing stock tells a clear story for stairlift installs: mid-century brick homes with straight, narrow staircases, split-levels with short runs, and newer infill townhomes where every square foot counts. That mix means most installs are straight rails at $2,800 — done in a single afternoon. Whether you're in a 1958 rambler off State Street or a condo in Century Villa, the stair geometry in this city works in your favor.

Call us for a free in-home assessment. Luis comes to your door, measures your stairs, checks the electrical, and gives you a firm quote on the spot — no pressure, no follow-up sales calls. We install Monday through Saturday across South Salt Lake, Millcreek, Murray, Taylorsville, and the whole Salt Lake Valley. If funding through the VA or Medicaid is on your radar, we'll walk you through the application before you sign anything. Call (800) 965-0350.
