Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Lauderdale County

Lauderdale County, TN

Our install teams cover all of Ripley and surrounding Lauderdale County — from the 1920s Craftsman homes around the Courthouse Square downtown to the Foxberry Creek subdivision off Highway 51. We're in Oakwoods, Johnston's Place, the Lake Drive corridor, and the Rolling Hills area on Volz Road. In older homes near Cleveland Street and Eastend, stair widths often run 30–32 inches — right at the minimum for a standard straight rail, and we check every tread before quoting. Out toward the county line, ranch homes with split-level entries need a different approach entirely. We also serve Halls, Henning, Gates, and Dyersburg with no travel charge.

Straight

Straight Rail on Oak Treads, Courthouse Square

Downtown Historic District, TN Installed March 2026

1920 Craftsman on South Main Street with original red-oak treads and a straight 12-step staircase. The Whitfields' mother had stopped using the upstairs entirely after a stumble in December. We bolted the rail to the treads — not the wall, not the floor — and the drywall and hardwood stayed untouched. Seat parked at the bottom landing when not in use.

Curved Rail at Upper Landing, Foxberry Creek

Foxberry Creek, TN Installed February 2026

1998 two-story in Foxberry Creek with an L-shaped staircase — 8 steps up, 90-degree turn at a landing, then 6 more to the second floor. The curved rail was laser-measured on site, bent to the exact turn radius, and anchored at every tread through the turn. Seat parks at the upper landing, out of the hallway. Chandelier overhead in the stairwell stayed in place.

Compact Straight Install, Stone Treads, Oakwoods

Oakwoods, TN Installed April 2026

Small 1960s ranch in Oakwoods with stone-tile treads and a narrow staircase — 30 inches wide, 10 steps. The Morrisons thought they needed a custom solution because of the tile. Standard straight rail fit without modification. Brackets drilled through the tile into the wood sub-tread. Seat folds up to 11 inches when not in use, preserving the walkway.

The Pruitts were concerned about tearing up carpet — the brackets mount through the carpet directly into the tread beneath. No carpet damage, no snags. Seat color matched to the beige carpet tone. Installed on a Thursday morning; Mrs. Pruitt used it to get to her bedroom that evening.

Common Questions

Everything Ripley Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Ripley, TN?

A straight stairlift in Ripley runs from $2,800 installed. Curved units start at $9,000 because the rail is custom-bent to your staircase after a laser measurement on site. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000, and our heavy-duty 600 lb model starts at $5,050. Every quote includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and a 5-year warranty. No hidden fees — if your stairs need an extra few feet of rail, we tell you at the assessment, not after.

Are there any Ripley-specific fees or travel charges?

No. We do not charge travel fees anywhere in Lauderdale County — Ripley, Halls, Henning, Gates, or outlying county roads. The price quoted at your free in-home assessment is the total price, period. If a competitor adds a line item for 'travel' or 'rural delivery' on your invoice, ask why.

How much is a curved stairlift for a Ripley split-level home?

Curved stairlifts in Ripley start at $9,000. The final number depends on the number of turns and the total rail length. We see a lot of 1920s–1940s two-story homes near the Courthouse Square with a 90-degree turn at a landing, plus split-levels in Foxberry Creek where the stairs bend halfway up. We measure with a laser during the free assessment and give you the exact price before you decide.

Can I rent a stairlift in Ripley instead of buying?

We focus on permanent installation because rental pricing for short-term use rarely makes sense for Ripley families — a 6-month rental often exceeds half the cost of owning. If you need a lift for a few months after a surgery, we can discuss options at the assessment, but most of our customers in Lauderdale County buy outright and never deal with a monthly bill.

A word from Luis

Ripley's housing stock tells a story. Around the Courthouse Square, you'll find 1920s Craftsman homes with narrow staircases and oak treads — those are straight-rail jobs, usually three hours. Out in Foxberry Creek and Oakwoods, the newer builds have wider stairs, but a lot of them split into a second-floor turn that needs a curved rail measured on site. I've done installs on Washington Street, over near Rice Memorial Park, and down Highway 51 toward the county line. What surprises families here is how quick it goes: we bolt the rail to the treads, plug into a standard outlet, and your mom is using it before dinner.

The one thing I tell every Ripley family: don't wait until after a fall. I did an install last year on a 1912 Victorian on Eastend Street — the daughter called me at 9pm on a Sunday because her dad had slipped. We had the lift in by Wednesday. The stairlift sat there unused for two days because we could've done it the week before, but they thought they had more time. Call for the free assessment. You don't have to buy anything. I'll walk your stairs, measure, and tell you exactly what it costs. No sales pitch, just numbers.

— Luis Ramírez, Ripley
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Ripley sits right where US Highway 51 cuts through West Tennessee farmland on its way to the Mississippi River bottoms. The homes here range from century-old Victorians to subdivision builds from the 1990s and 2000s, and every staircase geometry is different. That's why we do a free in-home measure before quoting anything — no two Ripley installs are the same, and we'd rather show you the actual price than guess over the phone.

Whether you're in a two-story Craftsman a block from the Lauderdale County Courthouse or a ranch on a county road outside Gates, same thing applies: call, we come out, we measure, you get a fixed price. No travel fees anywhere in Lauderdale County. Your mom gets her stairs back, and you stop worrying about the next fall.
