Straight Stairlift

Bestseller

The standard for Noblesville’s two-story colonials — from Oakmont to Pebble Brook to the historic core. Over 65% of the stairlifts we install in Noblesville are straight rails in two-story homes. The rail bolts to your stair treads — never into the wall — the seat and footrest fold flat, and the LiFePO4 battery backup keeps you moving through the next polar vortex outage. In the historic districts around Courthouse Square, we spec the compact-footprint model for narrow Victorian stairwells. In the newer subdivisions east of SR 37, post-1990 construction means level treads, consistent widths, and installs that wrap in under four hours.

Starting at $3,150 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls
  • Soft start and soft stop motion
  • Fold-up seat, arms, and footrest
  • 10-year motor & gearbox warranty

Compared to Alternatives

vs Curved: 3x less expensive and installed in one visit. vs Home elevator: 10-15x less cost and no construction. vs Moving bedroom downstairs: Keeps your home exactly as it is.

Stairlift Service Across Hamilton County

Hamilton County, IN

From the historic districts around Courthouse Square — Conner Street, Catherine Street, South 9th Street — where the conversation is about preserving original woodwork and staying clear of the Historic Preservation Commission’s jurisdiction for exterior work, to the subdivisions east of SR 37 — Oakmont, Pebble Brook, Heron Crossing, Prairie Crossing — where post-1990 colonials install in three to four hours because of level treads and consistent widths.

We know which Morse Lake homes have the walkout-basement staircase that needs a curved rail for the lower-landing turn, which Finch Creek (Del Webb) homes have the raised garage entry that creates a lift need in a home marketed as single-story, and which Pleasant Street corridor builds have the wide modern stairs that wrap in under three hours. We also cover Westfield, Cicero, Arcadia, and Lapel without a travel surcharge.

Straight

1889 Conner Street Victorian — straight rail through a narrow stairwell without touching original millwork

Conner Street Historic District, IN Installed March 2026

An 1889 Victorian in the Conner Street Historic District with a narrow 33-inch stairwell, original walnut banister, plaster walls, and 15 steep treads. Mrs. Pemberton is 81 and has lived in the house since 1974. Her daughter in Fishers called after her mother admitted she’d been sleeping in the parlor for three weeks because the stairs had become too risky after a fall. We bolted the rail into the original hardwood treads only, never into the plaster walls, never near the walnut banister. The slim-profile seat folds flat against the wall. She slept in her own bedroom that night for the first time in 22 days.

Morse Lake split-level — curved rail from main level to walkout basement with 90° landing turn

Morse Lake, IN Installed February 2026

A 1985 split-level on the east shore of Morse Reservoir with a walkout basement — the main living area upstairs, a finished family room and workshop downstairs, and a mid-landing 90-degree turn between them. Mr. Kowalski built the workshop himself in 1992 and hadn’t been able to get to it since his knee replacement last October. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the lower landing. One ride, no transfers. Mr. Kowalski was back in his workshop the same afternoon.

Oakmont colonial — straight rail over wall-to-wall carpet, same-week install for hospital discharge

Oakmont, IN Installed January 2026

A 2001 two-story colonial in Oakmont with 14 carpeted steps from the great room to the upstairs bedrooms. Mr. Dietrich had a hip replacement at Riverview Health and was scheduled for discharge on Friday with strict orders: no unassisted stair climbing for 60 days. His wife called Wednesday. We measured Wednesday afternoon, installed Thursday morning next to the wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs, and he rode to his bedroom Thursday evening. The carpet meant longer lag bolts through the pad into the subfloor, and we torque-verified each anchor point. His physical therapist cleared him for independent use at the three-week follow-up.

Finch Creek 55+ — outdoor rail on front-entry stone-paver steps, HOA approved in 10 days

Finch Creek (Del Webb), IN Installed December 2025

A Del Webb Finch Creek home marketed as single-story living — and it is, inside. But the front entry has five stone-paver steps from the driveway to the front door, and Mrs. Garza’s rollator doesn’t do steps. We mounted the cream-colored outdoor-rated seat along the front entry’s stone paving, sealed every component against Indiana’s freeze-thaw cycling, and added UV-resistant seat covers. The Finch Creek HOA architectural review committee approved the install in 10 days using our standard accommodation letter. Mrs. Garza uses her front door again.

Pebble Brook colonial — straight rail on carpeted treads for post-stroke recovery

Pebble Brook, IN Installed November 2025

A 2004 colonial in Pebble Brook with 15 carpeted treads to the upstairs master suite. Mrs. Nguyen had a stroke in August and returned home from St. Vincent in Indianapolis with limited right-side mobility. We installed the brown-upholstered seat on carpeted stairs with the powered swivel feature that rotates her 90 degrees at the top landing for a safe exit onto the hallway carpet — no manual turning required. Her daughter flew in from Chicago and sat through the full walkthrough. Mrs. Nguyen operated the lift independently by the fourth day.

Platform Lift

Ranch near Pleasant Street — indoor platform lift for a wheelchair-bound Army veteran, HISA funded

East Noblesville (Pleasant Street corridor), IN Installed October 2025

A 1975 ranch on acreage east of Pleasant Street with a finished lower level accessed by six steps from the main hallway. Mr. Harding served 24 years in the Army, is enrolled at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, and uses a power wheelchair after a service-connected spinal injury. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck and yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides, plus automatic fold-down ramps at both landings. We prefilled VA Form 10-0103 and the HISA grant covered the full $6,800, bringing his out-of-pocket to under $1,200.

Common Questions

Everything Noblesville Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Noblesville right now?

Straight rails in a standard Noblesville two-story — the colonials in Oakmont and Pebble Brook, the newer builds along the 146th Street corridor, the Victorians downtown — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level homes around Morse Lake and older ranch walkout basements run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for stone-paver entry steps at Finch Creek or raised porches in the historic districts run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, cold-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Do historic homes downtown cost more to install?

Equipment prices are the same across Hamilton County — we don’t charge a premium for Courthouse Square addresses. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: narrow Victorian stairwells under 34 inches wide require the compact-footprint model, century-old heart-pine or walnut treads need pre-drilled pilot holes instead of direct lag bolts, and some of the oldest homes have uneven tread depths from 140 years of settlement that require shimmed rail brackets. We tell you every line item upfront during the free assessment.

Why does Noblesville pricing include cold-rated batteries?

Indiana averages 14 days per year below 20°F, and derecho and ice storm power outages last 48 to 96 hours. A standard lithium battery in an unheated stairwell loses 40% capacity below 10°F. Every Noblesville install ships with LiFePO4 cold-weather batteries and 72-hour extended backup capacity — that’s built into our standard Indiana pricing, not an add-on. It prevents most of the storm-season service calls we used to get before we made it standard in 2019.

Do you charge for the initial home assessment?

No. The assessment takes about 45 minutes — we walk your stairs, measure with a laser, answer every question, and leave you with a written quote. No credit card, no deposit, no obligation. The quote is honored for 30 days. If you want a second opinion from another company, take the time. We don’t do high-pressure kitchen-table closes.

A word from Luis

The Noblesville calls I get split three ways. First: families in the historic homes around Courthouse Square and along Conner Street — Victorian-era two-stories with narrow stairwells, plaster walls, and original woodwork nobody wants drilled into. Second: parents in the 1990s and 2000s subdivisions east of SR 37 — Oakmont, Pebble Brook, Prairie Crossing — whose kids are grown and gone but the 14-step run to the master bedroom is still there. Third: lake families up on Morse Reservoir whose ranch homes sit on walkout basements with an interior staircase they stopped using after a surgery.

I drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. I know which Noblesville HOAs need architectural letters and which CICOA forms to attach to your A&D Waiver intake. En español si lo prefiere.
