Stairlift Service Across Hamilton County

Hamilton County, IN

The Village of WestClay is our highest-volume Carmel neighborhood — two-story Colonial and Victorian-style homes with wide main staircases and second-floor master suites. We have the HOA accommodation-request packet templated. Bridgewater and the Spring Mill Road subdivisions run similar: newer construction, wider stairs, fast installs. Old Town Carmel around the Arts and Design District has renovated older homes and new infill where staircase geometry varies block to block. Home Place south of 106th Street is where we do the most waiver-funded work — 1970s split-levels with landing turns that almost always require a curved rail. The 55+ communities along 116th Street, including Woodland Terrace, generate steady referrals from their own staff.

Village of WestClay Colonial — straight rail on hardwood oak treads to second-floor master

Village of WestClay, IN Installed March 2026

A 2006 Colonial in the Village of WestClay with a wide center-hall staircase, oak treads, and a second-floor master suite that Mr. Brennan refused to give up after his second knee replacement at IU Health North in Carmel. His wife called us while he was still in the hospital. We measured on Tuesday, installed on Thursday, and he rode the lift upstairs the evening he came home. The oak treads took the mounting bolts cleanly and the rail color matched the existing banister finish.

Home Place split-level — curved rail with 90-degree turn at upper landing

Home Place, IN Installed February 2026

A 1976 split-level on College Avenue in Home Place with a staircase that rises eight steps from the family room, turns 90 degrees at a small landing, then climbs four more to the bedroom hallway. Mrs. Patterson qualified for the Indiana A&D Waiver through CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions. We digitally scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so she steps off onto the hallway floor.

Old Town Carmel cottage — straight rail on original limestone-tile steps

Old Town Carmel, IN Installed January 2026

A renovated 1952 cottage two blocks from the Arts and Design District with original limestone-tile treads on the interior staircase. Mr. Webb is 81 and his wife is 77. We drilled into the limestone with masonry-rated anchors, mounted a standard straight rail along the wall side, and added grab-bar extensions at the top and bottom landings for stable handhold during mount and dismount.

Bridgewater raised entry — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving steps

Bridgewater, IN Installed December 2025

A 2004 two-story in Bridgewater with a raised front entry and six exterior stone-paver steps from the driveway to the front door. Mrs. Keller had not used the front entrance since September because the steps were too steep after a hip fracture. We anchored the outdoor rail into the stone pavers with stainless fasteners, sealed the motor housing to IP55 for Indiana’s freeze-thaw cycle, and added the cold-weather LiFePO4 battery rated for sub-zero polar vortex events.

Spring Mill corridor — straight rail on carpeted stairs to second-floor bedrooms

West Carmel, IN Installed November 2025

A 2008 two-story off Spring Mill Road with twelve carpeted steps from the main level to the second-floor bedrooms. Mr. Rao had a total knee replacement at St. Vincent Carmel and his orthopedic surgeon wrote the medical-necessity letter before he was discharged. We bolted the rail through the carpet and pad into the plywood subfloor beneath. The wide stairwell gave us full code clearance with room to spare.

Indoor wheelchair platform lift — sunken great room in a Home Place raised ranch

Home Place, IN Installed October 2025

A 1978 raised ranch in Home Place with a four-step drop from the entry hallway into a sunken great room. Mr. Donovan is a full-time wheelchair user after a stroke and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an indoor vertical platform lift with a 36-by-48-inch platform, yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides per ADA standards, and automatic fold-out ramps at both levels. The lift bridges the 32-inch rise in about nine seconds.

Common Questions

Everything Carmel Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in a typical Carmel two-story?

Straight rails for Carmel’s standard two-story homes — the WestClay Colonials, the Bridgewater center-hall layouts, the newer builds along Spring Mill Road — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. That covers the rail, seat, battery backup, installation labor, and the first service visit. Curved rails, which you will need for most Home Place split-levels and older east-side homes with landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and porch steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written and honored for 30 days.

Are prices higher in Carmel than in Indianapolis?

Equipment prices are identical — we do not inflate quotes for Hamilton County zip codes. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: tight 1970s stairwells in the Home Place neighborhood, HOA architectural review coordination in WestClay or Bridgewater, or compensating rail mounts for settled foundations in older east-side homes. We disclose every line item upfront. No surprise surcharges.

Do you offer financing for homeowners who don’t qualify for the A&D waiver?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about four minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Carmel families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction to reduce the effective monthly cost. We walk you through the math on paper during the free assessment.

Is a certified refurbished stairlift a good option in Carmel?

Certified refurbished straight rails start around $1,800 installed and carry a 2-year parts warranty. They work well for the standard two-story staircases in WestClay, Bridgewater, and the Spring Mill corridor where the run is straight and the treads are level. Curved rails cannot be refurbished — every curved track is manufactured to one specific staircase — so Home Place split-levels with landing turns will always need a new custom rail.

A word from Luis

Carmel homeowners usually call after a fall scare on the main staircase of a two-story in WestClay or Bridgewater, or a parent in Home Place whose 1970s split-level was never designed for aging in place.

I drive up from Indy, measure your staircase, and give you a written price honored for 30 days. No pressure, no upsells, no out-of-state call center. Hamilton County residents get a Hamilton County installer.
