Stairlift Service Across Utah County

Utah County, UT

From the 1880s pioneer cottages along Main Street — where narrow staircases and low ceilings demand slim-profile seats — to the post-2010 Traverse Mountain townhouses with wide stairs and modern construction, we've mapped every staircase type in Lehi. Jordan Willows colonials from the late 1990s often have the upper-landing turn requiring a curved rail. Holbrook Farms homes have wide straight staircases that install in half a day. The Thanksgiving Point neighborhoods — Cranberry Ridge, Thanksgiving Village, Pioneer Crossing — are post-2005 construction with standard 36-inch stairs. Wines Park and south-side ranches have the carpeted split-level stairs that are our most common install in old Lehi.

Thanksgiving Point colonial — straight rail on dark oak open-tread stairs

Thanksgiving Point, UT Installed March 2026

A 2008 colonial near Thanksgiving Point with dark hardwood oak treads on an open staircase — warm indoor tones, the rail bolted directly into the wood on the right side. Mr. Jensen's mother moved from her longtime home in Provo after a knee replacement at Lone Peak Hospital. The beige seat parks unfolded at the bottom of the stairs, ready for her morning ride up to the bedroom. The oak treads stay fully walkable for the grandchildren, and the altitude-rated motor controller handles 4,550 feet without strain.

Jordan Willows colonial — curved rail threading the 90° upper-landing turn

Jordan Willows, UT Installed February 2026

A 1999 colonial in Jordan Willows with a two-story foyer and an L-shaped staircase that turns 90 degrees at the upper landing. Mrs. Hansen had a hip replacement at Lone Peak Hospital in Draper and couldn't manage the top four steps. The curved rail bends around the half-wall balustrade at the turn, and the brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper floor landing so she steps off directly onto the bedroom hallway. The modern interior with chandelier above and framed art on the walls stays untouched.

Main Street pioneer cottage — slim-profile rail in a compact traditional home

Main Street Historic District, UT Installed January 2026

An 1890s pioneer cottage two blocks from the Lehi Main Street Historic District with stone-trimmed treads and a compact staircase next to the original wooden sideboard and potted plants. Mrs. Murdock is 84 and has lived in this house since 1963. The slim-profile seat folds nearly flat against the wall in the cozy, traditional space. The straight rail bolts into the treads without touching the original stonework, and the cottage feel — warm, compact, lived-in — stays exactly as it was.

Wines Park ranch — outdoor lift on raised stone-paved front entry

Wines Park, UT Installed December 2025

A 1975 ranch near Wines Park with six concrete front entry steps and rough natural stone paving at the base. Mr. Ashby is a retired Air Force crew chief who spent 24 years at Hill AFB — he qualified for the HISA grant through the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. The cream-colored outdoor seat is bolted into the stone-paved entry, sealed against the dry Wasatch air and UV, with a weather hood over the motor housing. Natural daylight from the covered porch above keeps the entry bright year-round.

Holbrook Farms — straight rail on carpeted stairs, half-day install

Holbrook Farms, UT Installed November 2025

A 2001 colonial in Holbrook Farms with wide 36-inch carpeted stairs and a landing area. Mr. Peterson is 72 and had been sleeping on the main-floor couch for three months after a bad fall on the top step. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads underneath — no carpet removal, no re-stretching. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet tones at the landing, and his fourteen grandchildren still run up and down without squeezing past anything. He slept in his own bed that Thursday night for the first time in 91 days.

Platform Lift

South Lehi ranch — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a Gulf War veteran

South Lehi, UT Installed October 2025

A 1982 split-level ranch south of SR-92 where Mr. Morrell, a Gulf War veteran with a power wheelchair, needed to access the upper floor without transferring out of his chair. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift along the staircase wall — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges, white handrail, and automatic ramp fold-out at both levels. The orange-toned walls and window light stay visible past the platform. The HISA grant through the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System covered the full installation cost.

Common Questions

Everything Lehi Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Lehi right now?

Straight rails in standard Lehi homes — the Holbrook Farms colonials, the Jordan Willows two-stories, the Traverse Mountain townhouses — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for homes with landing turns or L-shaped staircases run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, altitude-rated motor controller, and the first service visit.

Does the altitude in Lehi affect equipment pricing?

Equipment prices are the same statewide — we don't charge extra for altitude calibration because we don't sell sea-level equipment in Utah. Every Lehi install ships with a motor controller calibrated for 4,550 feet, a temperature-swing gasket kit for the 50-degree daily cycles in winter, and a dry-air lubricant that stays smooth from -10°F January nights to 105°F August afternoons. These are our Utah defaults, not add-ons. A motor running the factory sea-level profile at Lehi altitude will overheat under load within 18 months. We don't sell that problem.

Are prices different for older homes in the Main Street Historic District?

Equipment prices are the same. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: narrow staircases in pre-1920 pioneer homes that require the slim-profile seat, low ceiling clearance that needs a shorter mast, or limestone-foundation walls where we adjust bracket placement to avoid the original stonework. We tell you the line items during the first visit. No surprise fees after we start.

Do you charge extra for bilingual service?

No. Every Utah County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of families through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

A word from Luis

Most Lehi calls start the same way — an adult child who works at one of the Silicon Slopes campuses and whose parents still live in the house they built before the tech boom. Mom or Dad had a fall, or a knee replacement at Lone Peak Hospital, or just quietly stopped going upstairs six months ago and nobody mentioned it until Thanksgiving dinner. The bedroom is upstairs. The laundry is downstairs. The stairs haven't changed in 20 years but the knees have.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.

— Luis Ramírez, Lehi
