Stairlift Service Across Nassau County

Nassau County, NY

From the 1950s Cape Cods of Levittown — the original postwar suburb where steep, narrow staircases are the single most common layout we measure — to the Colonial Revivals of Garden City with their formal entry staircases and preservation-minded homeowners, from the split-levels of East Meadow, Bellmore, and Merrick where 90° landing turns require curved rails to the raised ranches of Wantagh, Seaford, and Massapequa with their half-flight entry splits, our team has mapped every housing type in the town.

Straight

Hempstead Village two-story — straight rail on original hardwood treads

Hempstead Village, NY Installed February 2026

A classic straight-rail install on original hardwood stairs in a 1940s Hempstead Village two-story. The homeowners wanted a low-profile rail that would not distract from their period oak banister, so we color-matched the track to the existing wood and tucked the charge points into the wall cavity. The seat parks at the bottom of the dark hardwood treads, folded and out of the way.

Curved

Garden City Colonial — curved rail with 90° turn at upper landing

Garden City, NY Installed January 2026

A Colonial Revival in Garden City with a formal staircase that curves around a half-wall at the upper landing. Mrs. Whitfield needed the seat to park at the top floor, away from the hallway traffic. We laser-scanned the 90° bend, fabricated a custom curved rail that threads past the balustrade, and matched the seat upholstery to the home’s warm brown tones. She steps off onto the upstairs hallway without turning.

Roosevelt bungalow — straight rail on stone treads in compact stairway

Roosevelt, NY Installed December 2025

A compact older home in Roosevelt with stone-tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. Space was tight — the stairway sits next to a hallway cabinet with a potted plant. We mounted the straight rail flush to the wall side, and the seat folds flat against the rail so the family still passes freely. The cottage-style interior kept its character.

Freeport porch entry — outdoor lift on stone-paved front steps

Freeport, NY Installed November 2025

Mrs. Alvarez’s Freeport home has a raised front porch with rough natural stone paving at the entry. The outdoor steps take salt spray from the south-shore breeze and nor’easter rain year-round. We installed a weather-resistant cream seat on a marine-grade epoxy-coated rail, sealed every fastener in 316 stainless, and added a waterproof cover for off-season storage. She rides from the stone walkway to her front door without touching a step.

Uniondale split-level — straight rail on carpeted stairs with swivel exit

Uniondale, NY Installed October 2025

A Uniondale split-level with carpeted stairs leading to a tiled landing area. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the warm carpet tones, and the rail bolts through the carpet into the treads beneath. At the top, the seat swivels 90° so the homeowner steps off onto the landing floor instead of balancing on the top step. Wall-mounted switches stayed accessible on both sides.

Roosevelt home — indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

Roosevelt, NY Installed September 2025

Mr. Velasquez uses a power wheelchair full-time and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white handrail. The platform folds against the wall when not in use, and the keyed controls prevent unauthorized operation. The family’s warm-toned hallway and interior window stayed fully accessible.

Common Questions

Everything Hempstead Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in the Town of Hempstead in 2026?

Straight rails for the standard Nassau County housing stock — Levittown and Baldwin Cape Cods, Garden City colonials, Hempstead Village and Roosevelt two-stories — run $2,800 to $5,500 fully installed. Curved rails, which are required for the split-levels in East Meadow, Bellmore, and Merrick where 90° landing turns are the norm, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and marine-grade-sealed models for south-shore homes in Freeport, Baldwin Harbor, Wantagh, and Massapequa run $4,000 to $7,500.

Does the price include the Nassau County licensing requirement?

Yes — our Nassau County Home Improvement Contractor license, surety bond, and liability insurance are priced into the quote. We hold separate HIC licenses for Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the NYC DCWP — a contractor licensed only in the city is not legally authorized to work in Nassau. There are no add-on licensing fees on your invoice.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service in Hempstead Village?

No. Every Nassau County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked families in Hempstead Village, Roosevelt, and Uniondale through every line of the quote, the financing paperwork, and the operating manual in Spanish. No surcharge, no scheduling delay, no outsourced interpreter.

Is financing available for homeowners who don’t qualify for Medicaid or VA benefits?

Yes. We work with three lending partners offering 0% APR for qualified buyers and fixed-rate plans starting around $79 per month. The application is a soft credit pull — no score impact — takes about four minutes, and approval is typically immediate. Many Nassau County families combine financing with the federal medical expense deduction or a partial HISA grant to reduce the monthly payment further.

A word from Luis

Most Long Island families call me after the stairs have already become the problem — a parent who slipped on the split-level landing in their East Meadow home, a widow in Bellmore who hasn’t been upstairs in three months, a son in Manhattan calling because his mother in Hempstead Village won’t ask for help herself.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
