Stairlift Service Across Montgomery County

Montgomery County, PA

I install across Hatfield Borough and the surrounding Hatfield Township villages — Orvilla, where retiree-friendly single-family homes with three or four bedrooms make stairlifts the most-requested mod; Trewigtown, where 1730s farmhouses have hand-hewn oak stringers needing wood-thread anchors; and Colmar, Line Lexington, Oak Park, Fortuna, and Unionville. The borough rowhomes off Cowpath Road have 30-32 inch stair widths and 8.5-inch risers that demand slim-profile rails with flush-fold seats. The Wyndham Woods 55+ community on Wyndham Woods Way has standardized split-level layouts where straight rails install in three hours flat.

Common Questions

Everything Hatfield Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Hatfield, PA?

A straight rail in a Hatfield home starts at $2,800 installed. Curved rails for the Trewigtown farmhouses and Colmar colonials start at $9,000 because the track is custom-fabricated. Outdoor units for the raised porches in Orvilla start at $4,000. Heavy-duty 600 lb units start at $5,050. Every quote includes the in-home measure, install, electrical, and a 5-year warranty.

Is financing available in Hatfield?

Yes. Financing starts at $79/month with approved credit, no prepayment penalty, and terms of 24 to 84 months. Most Hatfield Borough households on a fixed monthly Social Security payment qualify based on income alone — we accept credit scores down to 580.

Are stairlifts tax-deductible in Pennsylvania?

If your physician signs a letter of medical necessity, the stairlift is a deductible medical expense on your federal Schedule A — including the install labor. Pennsylvania doesn't add a state-level credit, so the savings come through the federal return. Keep the invoice and the doctor's letter together.

Do you charge for an in-home measure?

No. The visit is free across Hatfield Borough, Hatfield Township, and the entire North Penn Valley including Lansdale, Souderton, Telford, and Chalfont. I bring rail samples and measure every tread. The quote you sign is the quote you pay.

A word from Luis

Hatfield is two different jobs depending on which side of Cowpath Road you're on. The borough rowhomes built between 1900 and 1940 have stair widths of 30 to 32 inches with steep risers — pre-code, often 8.5 inches — and that means the seat hinges have to fold flush or my client clips a knee on every trip up. Out in Trewigtown and Orvilla, the 1730-era farmhouses have wider treads but the stringers are old hand-hewn oak that you cannot simply lag-bolt into without a pilot hole and a wood-thread anchor.

I work the entire North Penn Valley — Lansdale, Souderton, Telford, Chalfont — and Hatfield Township's villages including Colmar, Line Lexington, Oak Park, and Unionville. Every quote includes a stair-rise measurement, a tread-depth measurement, and a turn check at the top landing. If your stair won't take a slim-profile rail without nicking the wall trim, I tell you that on the first visit, not after the deposit clears.

— Luis Ramírez, Hatfield
