Stairlift Service Across Montgomery County

Montgomery County, PA

Towamencin's stairlift installs span every corner of the township. In Bremen Woods and Brookside Farms — 1980s split-levels — the half-flight to the bedrooms is often the trouble spot. Chatham Village of Towamencin townhomes have narrower stairs with a 90-degree turn at the landing, which calls for a custom curved rail. The Gristmill Run subdivision, developed 1988–1992, has larger colonials where oak-tread straight stairs let us bolt the rail directly to the treads. Kulpsville and Inglewood include some of the township's oldest stone farmhouses — stair widths as tight as 30 inches, where we check the tread depth before specifying the rail. We also install regularly in Candlewyck and Charlestowne, 1980s center-hall colonials with a straight flight that takes a standard three-hour install.

Straight

1984 Split-Level in Brookside Farms

Brookside Farms, PA Installed March 2026

Brookside Farms split-level, built 1984. Dark oak treads on the main staircase — common in this subdivision of about 90 homes. The Pattersons needed a straight rail from the foyer to the upper hallway. Luis bolted the rail directly into the oak treads with lag bolts. No wall anchors, no drywall repair. The beige seat at the bottom landing parks flush against the newel post so the entryway stays open.

Townhome Curve in Chatham Village

Chatham Village of Towamencin, PA Installed May 2026

Chatham Village townhome with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. Stairs narrower than a detached colonial — 34 inches across with a half-wall on one side. Luis laser-measured the turn radius and ordered a two-section curved rail. The brown seat parks at the top floor, out of the hallway. Install ran five hours, rail hugs the half-wall through the turn. The chandelier clearance was tight but the curved profile slipped right under.

Compact Colonial in Bremen Woods

Bremen Woods, PA Installed February 2026

Bremen Woods colonial, compact footprint. Stone-tile treads on the main stairs, bottom landing near a wooden sideboard. The Hoffmans needed access to the second floor for Mrs. Hoffman after a hip replacement. Straight rail install, 13 feet, bolted to the tile treads with masonry anchors. Seat parks at the bottom beside the sideboard — Luis adjusted the parking position so the furniture didn't need to move.

Outdoor

Porch Entry in Gristmill Run

Gristmill Run, PA Installed October 2025

Gristmill Run colonial, outdoor porch with rough stone paving. Six steps up from the driveway to the front door. Mr. Kowalski couldn't manage the rise after a stroke. Luis installed an IP55 outdoor unit with marine-grade aluminum rail and sealed motor housing. Cream seat matches the porch trim. The rail runs alongside the stone steps — no drilling into the facade, all anchors in the treads. Survived the January 2026 snowstorm without a hiccup.

Carpeted Straight Flight in Candlewyck

Candlewyck, PA Installed April 2026

Candlewyck center-hall colonial, built 1985. Wall-to-wall beige carpet on the main staircase — treads in good shape, even risers. The Nguyens needed a lift for Mrs. Nguyen's mother, who moved in from California. Brown seat on a straight rail, 15 feet. Luis cut small carpet access holes for the bracket mounts — all covered by the rail once bolted down. Seat color nearly matches the carpet tone. Three hours, start to finish.

Platform Lift

Wheelchair Platform in Charlestowne

Charlestowne, PA Installed June 2026

Charlestowne colonial, indoor inclined platform lift for Mrs. Evans, who uses a wheelchair full-time. Flat black deck with yellow safety edges, white handrail. The platform carries the chair up a straight 16-foot staircase — no transfer out of the wheelchair needed. 600 lb capacity covers the chair plus occupant. Six-hour install because the rail mounting required heavier brackets and the power draw needed a dedicated circuit. Folded platform at the bottom leaves the hallway clear.

Common Questions

Everything Towamencin Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Towamencin Township?

A straight stairlift in Towamencin starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-bent to your staircase after a laser measurement on site. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000, and heavy-duty models (up to 600 lb capacity) start at $5,050. Every quote includes the assessment, the rail, the carriage, installation, and a 5-year warranty. We give you a firm number after measuring — no surprise charges.

Does the age of my Towamencin home affect the install cost?

It can — but usually not by much. In older homes around Kulpsville and Inglewood, narrower stairs (sometimes under 32 inches wide) or uneven treads may require a hinged rail or rail extension. In newer Gristmill Run or Country Meadows colonials from the late 80s and 90s, stairs are typically standard width with even rises, which keeps the job straightforward. The assessment visit tells us everything we need before we quote.

Are there any hidden fees — permits, disposal, travel?

No. The quote we give you at the assessment is the price you pay. It covers the rail, carriage, installation, cleanup, and a demo of how to use the lift. Towamencin Township does not require a building permit for a stairlift — it's classified as a temporary home modification, not a structural change. And we're based right here in Montgomery County, so there's no travel surcharge.

How do monthly payments work for a Towamencin stairlift?

Financing starts at $79/month through a third-party lender we work with regularly. The approval process is quick — most applicants hear back within one business day. There's no prepayment penalty, and the interest rate depends on credit. We can walk you through the application at the assessment or you can apply online ahead of time.

A word from Luis

Towamencin's housing is a real mix — and that keeps the job interesting. You've got stone farmhouses from the 1700s off Weikel Road where the staircases are barely 30 inches across. Then a mile away in Gristmill Run, you're in a 1990s colonial with a wide oak staircase that takes a straight rail in two hours. The townhomes in Chatham Village almost always need a custom curve because of that tight landing turn.

I know this township cold. I know which neighborhoods sit on crawlspaces and which have finished basements — that changes where we run the power. I know the HOA rules in Brookside Farms and Candlewyck about exterior modifications, so we plan outdoor installs accordingly. And I know the VA process start to finish for veterans heading to the Saracini clinic in Horsham for their HISA paperwork. I've walked families through every funding route Pennsylvania offers — CHC, the HISA grant, county-level aging services. You call me, you get someone who's actually been inside homes in your neighborhood.

— Luis Ramírez, Towamencin
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Towamencin Township has been home to families since 1728, and a lot of those families want to keep living here — in the same house, on the same street, near Fischer's Park and the same neighbors. A stairlift is what lets that happen when the stairs become the one thing standing in the way. Whether your home is a 1770 stone farmhouse near the Morgan Log House or a 1986 colonial in Country Meadows, we come out, measure, and give you a firm price — usually within 48 hours of your call.

Luis and the team have installed in nearly every neighborhood in the township. They know the stair geometry here — the tight winders in the older Kulpsville homes, the open-rail straight flights in Gristmill Run, the outdoor porch stairs that need weather-sealing through a Pennsylvania winter. One assessment. One install. Done by people who know Towamencin.
