Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Anne Arundel County

Anne Arundel County, MD

Our Crofton installations cover the full range of housing in Anne Arundel County. Walden colonials have wide-tread hardwood staircases with 14-foot straight runs that accept standard rail brackets on the oak treads. Cambridge homes share a similar footprint but use wall-to-wall carpet requiring bracket anchoring through the pile into the plywood substrate. Crofton Village townhomes feature compact 12-foot runs with a front-entry landing where the folded seat must clear the door arc.

Heathermore split-foyers have a half-flight to the lower level and a longer run to the upper floor, sometimes with a 90-degree mid-landing turn requiring a custom curved rail. Colonials along Crofton Parkway occasionally need an outdoor unit on the raised front porch, and homes near Patuxent River Park deal with Chesapeake-corridor humidity that demands IP55-rated housings.

Straight

Walden — straight rail on original oak treads

Walden, MD Installed February 2026

The Pattersons' Walden colonial has a straight 14-foot staircase with oak treads and a painted wood banister. We bolted the rail directly to the treads, positioned the beige seat at the bottom landing near the foyer, and tested the DC battery backup before leaving. Mrs. Patterson, 77, rode the lift to the second floor for the first time in six weeks.

Heathermore — curved rail around split-foyer mid-landing

Heathermore, MD Installed January 2026

This Heathermore split-foyer has a staircase that turns 90 degrees at the mid-landing between the entry level and the upper floor. We fabricated a curved rail from a laser survey, routing it around the landing wall where the banister transitions from carpet to hardwood. The brown seat parks at the top floor, clear of the hallway, and the bracket spacing avoids the baseboard trim.

Crofton Village — compact install clearing front-door swing

Crofton Village, MD Installed December 2025

The Kims' Crofton Village townhome has a compact 12-foot staircase with carpet-over-plywood treads and a front entry landing where the door swings inward. We mounted the rail tight to the wall side, positioning the seat park point two inches past the door arc. The taupe seat blends with the neutral carpet and the folded footrest clears the entry entirely.

Common Questions

Everything Crofton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a straight stairlift cost in Crofton?

A straight stairlift in Crofton starts at $2,800 installed. Final price depends on rail length, seat options, and whether your treads are hardwood, carpet, or tile. Most Crofton colonials need a 12-to-16-foot rail, which keeps the total between $2,800 and $4,500.

Why does a curved stairlift cost more in a Crofton split-foyer?

Curved rails are custom-fabricated from a laser survey of your specific staircase. The split-foyer layouts in Heathermore and older sections near Route 3 include a mid-landing turn that requires a welded bend matching your exact angles. That fabrication process is why curved units start at $9,000 compared to $2,800 for a straight run.

Does All American Stairlifts offer financing in Anne Arundel County?

Yes. We offer monthly financing starting at $79/month with approved credit. Many Crofton homeowners use financing to spread the cost of a curved or heavy-duty unit over 24 to 60 months while keeping the install on schedule.

Is a stairlift cheaper than downsizing from a Crofton colonial?

Significantly. The median home sale in Crofton exceeds $500,000, and moving costs, closing fees, and market timing add tens of thousands more. A stairlift installed on your existing staircase costs a fraction of that and lets you stay in the home your family already knows.

A word from Luis

Crofton housing runs a narrow range that I know well after working in Anne Arundel County for over fifteen years. The Walden and Cambridge subdivisions have two-story colonials with straight 14-foot runs, hardwood treads, and a single landing at the top that makes a standard straight rail the obvious fit. Crofton Village townhomes are tighter — the staircases run 12 feet with carpet over plywood, and the bottom landing opens directly into the front entry, so the seat park position has to clear the door swing.

Split-foyers in Heathermore and the older sections along Route 3 present a different geometry. The entry-level half-flight is usually only five or six risers but the upper run bends at a mid-landing, which calls for a curved rail. Outdoor installs are less common in Crofton, but the raised-entry colonials along Crofton Parkway sometimes need a weatherproof unit on the front steps, and I spec marine-grade aluminum for the humidity that rolls in from the Chesapeake Bay corridor every summer.
