Stairlift Service Across Montgomery County

Montgomery County, TX

From the 1960s ranch homes in River Plantation — Conroe’s oldest golf course community, where original hardwood treads and wrought-iron railings meet 60 years of East Texas clay settling — to the lakefront colonials in April Sound and Lake Chateau Woods where curved rails thread past upper-landing turns, to the 1940s bungalows in downtown Conroe where limestone-veneer stairs require masonry-rated anchoring, our team has mapped every pocket of the city. We know which Panorama Village floor plans have the narrow stairwell that needs a slim-profile seat, which Carriage Hills custom builds have the deep-pile carpet that requires specific bracket placement, and which Lake Conroe communities — Bentwater, Walden, Cape Conroe — require architectural review committee documentation for exterior installs.

River Plantation ranch — straight rail on original hardwood oak treads

River Plantation, TX Installed March 2026

A 1968 ranch in the River Plantation golf course community with original oak hardwood treads running from the main living area down to a finished den. Mrs. Caldwell had her left hip replaced at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe in January. We measured on Wednesday, installed on Friday — three hours from arrival to her testing the ride. The rail bolts into the existing oak treads without touching the walls or the original 1960s wrought-iron railing. She was back in her den watching Astros games by the weekend.

Lake Chateau Woods colonial — curved rail with upper landing turn

Lake Chateau Woods, TX Installed February 2026

A 1990s colonial in Lake Chateau Woods with a staircase that turns 90 degrees at the upper landing before opening onto a second-floor hallway. Mr. Nguyen’s mother moved in from Katy after her husband passed and the upstairs guest suite became her permanent room. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that carries her from the ground floor to the bedroom hallway with a swivel-exit seat parked at the top, and had the whole thing installed in under five hours.

Downtown Conroe bungalow — straight rail over stone-veneer interior steps

Downtown Conroe, TX Installed January 2026

A 1940s bungalow on the east side of downtown Conroe with interior stairs clad in limestone veneer. The treads are solid but uneven by about 3/8 inch after 80 years of East Texas clay settling under the pier-and-beam foundation. Mr. Wallace is a retired Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy with two bad knees. We anchored the rail brackets with masonry-rated fasteners into the limestone veneer, shimmed three brackets to compensate for the tread variation, and delivered a ride that’s dead level from bottom to top.

Outdoor

Panorama Village raised entry — outdoor lift on stone paving, sealed for Gulf heat

Panorama Village, TX Installed December 2025

A raised ranch in Panorama Village with six exterior stone-paved steps from the driveway up to the covered front porch. Mr. Martinez is a Korean War veteran who uses a cane. His daughter called after he fell on wet pavers in November. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor straight rail on the front entry, anchored into the stone pavers with stainless-steel masonry bolts. The cream seat unit carries UV-stabilized upholstery rated for 2,000+ hours of direct Texas sun and a sealed weather hood on the motor housing.

Carriage Hills custom home — straight rail over carpeted stairs

Carriage Hills, TX Installed November 2025

A 1990s custom home in Carriage Hills with plush wall-to-wall carpeted stairs. Mrs. Thompson had been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and her neurologist told her to minimize stair climbing. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones, the mounting brackets sit on top of the carpet without crushing it, and the rail mounts directly to the treads. Install took two and a half hours. She called the next morning to say she’d already used it nine times.

Platform Lift

North Conroe home — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

North Conroe, TX Installed October 2025

A split-level home north of Loop 336 where Mr. Dawson, an Iraq War veteran who uses a power wheelchair full-time, needed access to the upper living area from the ground-floor entry. A seated stairlift was not an option — he cannot transfer unassisted. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck, high-visibility yellow safety edges, white handrails, and an automatic gate lock. The HISA grant through the Conroe VA Clinic at 690 South Loop 336 West covered $6,800 of the cost.

Common Questions

Everything Conroe Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Conroe right now?

Straight rails in standard Conroe homes — River Plantation ranches, Carriage Hills custom builds, downtown bungalows — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for colonials with landing turns in Lake Chateau Woods or April Sound run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase. Outdoor models with the full Texas heat-and-UV package run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and first service visit.

Is the Texas heat package an extra charge?

No. Every Conroe install ships with high-heat lubricant rated to 140 degrees, UV-stabilized seat upholstery, and a sealed motor housing as standard spec. National chains itemize these as $300–$500 in add-ons. We include them because a factory-default stairlift in a sun-facing East Texas stairwell fails in two seasons, and we’d rather build it right than warranty it later.

Do you charge more for Lake Conroe area homes versus in-town Conroe?

No. Equipment and labor cost the same whether you’re in downtown Conroe, River Plantation, Panorama Village, Willis, or Cut and Shoot. No travel surcharge, no lake-area premium. The only variable is staircase complexity — a straight run costs less than a curved rail because there’s no custom fabrication.

Can I rent a stairlift instead of buying?

Yes — we offer monthly rentals starting at $150/month for straight models with a minimum three-month term. Popular with Montgomery County families managing post-surgical recovery from HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe or Houston Methodist The Woodlands, where a temporary mobility restriction doesn’t justify a full purchase. If you decide to buy after renting, we credit the rental payments toward the purchase price.

A word from Luis

Conroe sits at the top of the Houston metro where the suburbs end and the piney woods start. The calls I get here split two ways: grown children in The Woodlands worried about a parent in a River Plantation ranch or a Lake Conroe lakehouse, and veterans — Montgomery County has one of the highest vet populations in Texas at nearly 19% — who just learned about the HISA grant at the Conroe VA Clinic on Loop 336.

I drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and hand you a price good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En espanol si lo prefiere.
