Stairlift Service Across Harris County

Harris County, TX

From the 1970s ranch lots of Atascocita South — generous yards, mature oaks, and the split-level foyer-to-bedroom run that only works with a curved rail — to the 1980s lakefront homes in Walden on Lake Houston where humidity control and waterfront-grade rail coating are standard on every install, our team has mapped every subdivision in the community. We know which Eagle Springs floor plans have the wide open staircase that installs in three hours flat, which Pinehurst and Lakeshore splits need a fabricated 90-degree curved rail, and which Summerwood and Balmoral townhomes built after 2010 have the modern tread width that accommodates a heavy-duty 600 lb frame without trimming the passage.

Eagle Springs colonial — straight rail color-matched to red oak treads

Eagle Springs, TX Installed March 2026

A 2004 two-story colonial in Eagle Springs with 14 red oak treads, a wrought-iron spindle banister, and a homeowner who had not been upstairs to her own bedroom in three weeks after a knee replacement at Memorial Hermann Northeast. Her daughter called on a Monday. We measured Tuesday morning, confirmed the straight run had no turns or obstructions, and installed Thursday before Mrs. Nguyen’s physical therapist arrived for her home visit. The rail was color-matched to the existing red oak — a warm amber tone that disappears against the treads when the seat is folded.

1978 Atascocita South split-level — curved rail through a 90-degree landing

Atascocita South, TX Installed February 2026

A 1978 split-level ranch in Atascocita South — six steps from the foyer to the living area, a 90-degree landing, then nine more steps to the bedrooms. Two other companies told the Pattersons they would need two separate lifts and a transfer at the landing. We laser-scanned the full run during the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries you from the front door to the upstairs hallway in one continuous ride, and added a swivel-exit seat at the top so Mr. Patterson steps off onto level flooring instead of a top tread.

Walden on Lake Houston — straight rail on stone-accent cottage stairs

Walden on Lake Houston, TX Installed January 2026

A lakefront cottage in Walden on Lake Houston with cast-stone stair treads and a wrought-iron railing on the interior staircase — a design feature the builder added in the late 1980s that makes the stairs look like an exterior entry even though they are fully indoors. Mrs. Dawson’s concern was drilling into the stone without cracking it. We used a masonry-rated carbide bit, pre-drilled every bracket hole at low RPM, and seated the anchors with marine-grade epoxy rated for the lakefront humidity.

Pinehurst raised entry — outdoor lift on stone paving with weather seal

Pinehurst, TX Installed December 2025

A Pinehurst home with a raised front entry, seven exterior steps on stone pavers, and a canopy of loblolly pines dropping needles on everything below. Mr. Rodriguez is a retired Army staff sergeant who served at Fort Hood and qualified for a HISA grant through the DeBakey VA Medical Center — we prefilled VA Form 10-0103, the prescription came back from his VA provider in four weeks, and installation was authorized the week after. The lift is sealed against Gulf Coast humidity, UV-coated for the Texas sun, and has a pine-needle brush guard on the rail channel.

Summerwood two-story — straight rail over plush carpet, same-day install

Summerwood, TX Installed November 2025

A 2012 Summerwood two-story with 13 carpeted treads, a builder-grade oak banister, and a homeowner whose daughter handled the entire consultation in Spanish. Mrs. Castillo had been sleeping on the living room couch for two months after a hip fracture because the carpeted stairs felt too slippery to trust. Luis walked her through every button in Spanish at the kitchen table, twice, because she wanted to hear it again. We bolted the rail through the carpet and pad directly into the tread subfloor — the carpet pile compresses under the bracket flange and the bolts seat into the plywood underneath. No carpet cutting, no visible damage.

Platform Lift

Lakeshore split-entry — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Lakeshore, TX Installed October 2025

A Lakeshore home with a split-entry foyer — four steps up to the main living level, four steps down to the garage and den. Mr. Thompkins uses a power wheelchair after a spinal cord injury and needed to access both levels without transferring out of the chair. A seated stairlift was not an option. We installed an indoor vertical platform lift with ADA-compliant yellow safety edges on the platform perimeter, interlocked upper and lower gates, and a battery backup that keeps the lift operational during Harris County power outages. The platform fits his wheelchair with room for a caregiver standing beside him.

Common Questions

Everything Atascocita Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Atascocita right now?

Straight rails in standard Atascocita two-stories — the Eagle Springs colonials, the Walden lakefront homes, the Summerwood townhouses — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the split-level ranches in Atascocita South and Pinehurst with 90-degree mid-landings run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and lakefront porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher in the lakefront subdivisions like Walden?

Equipment prices are the same across every Atascocita subdivision — we do not mark up quotes for Walden or Balmoral addresses. What can vary slightly is install labor when we add marine-grade rail coating for lakefront humidity exposure or compensate bracket mounts for foundation settlement on the older 1980s slab-on-grade lots. We itemize those line items upfront so nothing is a surprise.

Is there a charge for Spanish-language service?

Zero. Every Atascocita assessment can be conducted entirely in Spanish — Luis handles dozens of bilingual consultations across northeast Harris County each month. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish at no surcharge. For the Hispanic families along FM 1960 and in Summerwood, it is how we should have always done business.

Do HOA-governed subdivisions add extra fees?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We have worked with the architectural review committees in Eagle Springs, Walden on Lake Houston, Balmoral, The Bridges, and Lakeshore — the reasonable-accommodation letters are already templated. Federal Fair Housing Act protections (42 U.S.C. § 3604) require HOAs to grant reasonable modifications for residents with documented disabilities, including accessibility equipment like stairlifts. If a board requires its own engineer letter, we tell you before we start.

A word from Luis

The call from Atascocita almost always starts the same way — a grown son or daughter who moved to Eagle Springs or Walden to raise their own kids, and now mom or dad is aging in the same subdivision. The stairs that were fine at 55 are a problem at 75.

I drive out the same day you call, measure your staircase with a laser, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsell. En español si lo prefiere.

— Luis Ramírez, Atascocita
