Stairlift Service Across Yavapai County

Yavapai County, AZ

We serve all of Clarkdale and the Verde Valley. In Upper Clarkdale, the old engineers' Craftsman bungalows have solid maple staircases that take a straight rail cleanly. Down in Lower Clarkdale and the historic Patio Park courtyards, compact workers' cottages with tile floors often need careful work in tight stairways. The 1990s ranches in Centerville off 89A typically have carpeted straight stairs finished in about three hours. Homes up in Black Hills Terrace and Verde Panorama sit on the foothills with steep entries that call for outdoor lifts. We also cover the Riverfront blocks near the depot and serve Cottonwood, Jerome, and Cornville with the same no-travel-charge assessment.

Straight

Upper Clarkdale — straight rail on original maple treads

Upper Clarkdale, AZ Installed March 2026

Built in 1915 as one of the smelter engineers' homes, this Upper Clarkdale bungalow still had its original maple treads, warm and solid. We bolted a straight rail directly to the treads in bracketed sections, leaving the maple banister and plaster untouched. The cream seat parks at the bottom landing in the front hall. Three hours, start to finish.

Lower Clarkdale — curved rail around a tight turn near the depot

Lower Clarkdale, AZ Installed January 2026

This 1914 workers' cottage near the old depot had a staircase that turned 90 degrees in a tight landing. The custom curved rail was laser-measured on site, fabricated off-site, and installed in one morning. The brown seat parks at the upper landing, letting Mrs. Carrillo reach her bedroom without negotiating the turn. The compact stairway and original trim were left exactly as they were.

Patio Park — straight rail on Saltillo-tile treads

Patio Park, AZ Installed April 2026

This compact Patio Park home, built around a central courtyard, had Saltillo-tile treads and a tight stairway beside a wooden cabinet. We pre-drilled each bracket hole with a masonry bit so the tile would not crack, then mounted the straight rail to the treads. The brown seat parks at the bottom, clearing the cabinet by several inches. Mrs. Sandoval was riding it the same afternoon.

Outdoor

Black Hills Terrace — outdoor lift on a flagstone porch entry

Black Hills Terrace, AZ Installed October 2025

This foothill home in Black Hills Terrace had a rough flagstone entry stairway fully exposed to the high-desert sun. We mounted an IP55 weather-sealed outdoor stairlift to the stone with stainless anchors. The cream seat, UV-stabilized powder-coated rail, and sealed motor housing came through the July monsoon and freezing winter nights without a service call. Mr. Ruiz had been avoiding his own front steps for a year.

Centerville — straight rail on carpeted ranch stairs

Centerville, AZ Installed February 2026

This 1990s ranch in Centerville off 89A had wall-to-wall carpeted stairs in warm brown tones. The brown seat matched the carpet almost exactly — a detail Mrs. Marquez noticed right away. We bolted the straight rail through the carpet and pad into the plywood sub-treads below, and the tiled floor at the base gave a clean transition.

Platform Lift

Verde Panorama — indoor wheelchair platform on a straight stair

Verde Panorama, AZ Installed May 2026

This Verde Panorama home had a straight indoor staircase to the upper floor, and the Lopezes' son uses a wheelchair. We installed an inclined platform lift with a flat black deck and yellow safety edges along the side of the staircase. He wheels on, locks the chair, and rides up in under a minute. It took most of the afternoon to align the rail to the pitch exactly.

Common Questions

Everything Clarkdale Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Clarkdale, AZ?

A straight stairlift in Clarkdale starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts, custom-built after a laser measurement of your staircase, start at $9,000. Outdoor units for porch or entry stairs start at $4,000, and heavy-duty models rated for 600 lb start at $5,050. These prices include the in-home assessment, rail, installation, and warranty. There is no travel charge to any 86324 address.

Are there hidden fees or travel charges for Clarkdale installs?

No. The price Luis gives you at the in-home assessment is the price you pay. We do not charge a travel fee for any address in Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Jerome, or Cornville. The quote includes the rail, seat, motor, battery backup, labor, and cleanup. The only thing that changes the price is if the assessment reveals a curved-rail need where a straight was expected — and we show you why before any work begins.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more than straight ones in Clarkdale homes?

Curved stairlifts cost more because each rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase after a laser measurement. Many of the older Lower Clarkdale and Patio Park cottages near the depot have a 90-degree turn or a tight landing. A curved rail typically takes two to three weeks from measurement to install, while a straight rail can often go in the same week. The starting difference — $2,800 versus $9,000 — reflects that custom engineering.

Do Clarkdale's historic company-town homes cost more to fit a stairlift?

Not necessarily. The rail bolts to the stair treads, not the wall, so the plaster, trim, and original maple in an Upper Clarkdale bungalow stay untouched. The age of the home does not affect install time or cost. What matters is the stair geometry — straight versus curved, the width between walls, and any obstruction at the landings. Luis checks all of it during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Clarkdale was built as a company town for the smelter, and you can still read that in the houses. The bungalows in Upper Clarkdale were the engineers' homes — solid, with real maple stairs. Lower Clarkdale and the old Patio Town homes were for the working families, and a lot of those have compact stairways and tile floors that handle the heat. I have put straight rails into 1915 bungalows on the original maple treads and curved rails into the tighter cottages near the depot, and the rail always bolts to the treads, not the wall, so the plaster and the old woodwork stay exactly as they are.

The thing people get wrong about Clarkdale is the weather. We sit around 3,500 feet, so it is not Phoenix — the summer sun is brutal on an exposed outdoor rail, the monsoon dumps hard in July and August, and the winter nights drop below freezing. An outdoor lift here needs UV-stabilized powder coating and IP55 sealing, plus battery backup for when the storms knock the power out. If your mom lives up in Black Hills Terrace or down by the river, that detail matters. Call the number on this page and I will come measure and give you an honest number.

Luis Ramírez, Clarkdale
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Clarkdale's old company-town homes are full of families having the same conversation: Mom wants to stay in the Upper Clarkdale bungalow she has lived in for decades, but the maple staircase has become a daily risk. A stairlift keeps the home intact — no remodeling, no moving, no damage to the original treads or the historic woodwork.

We cover the whole Verde Valley — Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Jerome, Cornville, and Camp Verde — and there is no travel charge to any address. Whether it is a straight lift in a Patio Park cottage or a custom curved rail near the depot, the install is bolt-to-tread, battery-backed, and usually done in a single morning. Call or fill out the form and Luis will come out, measure, and give you a real number. Same-week scheduling.
