Stairlift Service Across Greene County

Greene County, OH

From the 1960s-1970s split-levels and bi-levels along Dayton-Xenia Road — where the half-flight down to the family room is the stair run that causes the most falls — to the 1980s-1990s two-stories in Creekside and Meadow Park with their standard 13-step straight runs, from the newer construction in Beavercreek Township to the older ranch-to-colonial conversions near WPAFB, our team has measured stairs in every Greene County subdivision.

1972 split-level half-flight on Dayton-Xenia Road — cream seat at the bottom, oak treads

Dayton-Xenia Road, OH Installed March 2026

A 1972 split-level on Dayton-Xenia Road with seven oak treads from the entry up to the main level — the run where Mrs. Thurman's mother fell twice in 2025. We laser-measured, bolted the slim rail through the treads (the rail bolts to the treads, not the wall — drywall stays intact), and parked the cream fold-flat seat at the bottom landing.

L-shaped landing in a Fairfield Road colonial — single laser-bent rail with a 90° turn

Fairfield Road, OH Installed February 2026

A 1985 colonial on Fairfield Road with an L-shaped staircase and a 90° turn at the upper landing. Mr. Morrison retired from Wright-Patterson in 2019 and the 14-step climb became impossible after bilateral knee replacements. We laser-scanned the run, fabricated one continuous curved rail from the foyer to the upstairs hallway, and parked the brown seat at the upper landing so he steps onto hardwood.

Center Street cottage — short straight rail on a stone-tile entry beside the sideboard

Center Street, OH Installed January 2026

A 1920s cottage off Center Street: tight 30-inch stairwell, stone-tile entry landing, brick interior accent wall. The brown fold-flat seat parks beside the Beckers' walnut sideboard at the bottom — the rail clears the cabinet by four inches. We used isolation washers under each tread bracket so the stone tile would not crack. Three hours from first bolt to final walkthrough, with the family heirloom sideboard still in its forty-year spot.

Trebein Road ranch — outdoor rail on flagstone porch steps with cold-rated battery

Trebein Road area, OH Installed December 2025

A ranch-style home on Trebein Road with five rough-flagstone exterior steps that ice over every winter. Mr. Wheeler broke his wrist on these steps in February 2025. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail with galvanized brackets, neoprene isolation washers, and a cold-rated LiFePO4 battery. The cream UV-stabilized seat sits at the base, IP55-rated, ready when he comes home from errands. Components handle Ohio's 70+ annual freeze-thaw cycles.

Indian Ripple split-level — carpeted upper-landing rail clears the low header

Indian Ripple, OH Installed November 2025

A 1968 split-level near Indian Ripple Road with a carpeted upper run and a low header at the bottom of the lower flight. Mr. Rossetti's father-in-law moved in after his wife passed and needed access to the upper bedroom. We mounted a compact-profile seat with a powered swivel that clears the header by three inches.

Platform Lift

Meadow Park two-story — indoor inclined wheelchair platform with yellow safety edges

Meadow Park, OH Installed October 2025

A two-story home in Meadow Park near Beavercreek Community Park. Mr. Stauffer is a disabled Air Force veteran who uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected spinal injury at Wright-Patterson. A seated stairlift was not an option. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: flat black anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, white handrail, keyed lockout for grandchildren visits.

Common Questions

Everything Beavercreek Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in the Beavercreek area right now?

Straight rails in standard Beavercreek homes — the split-levels off Dayton-Xenia Road, the Creekside colonials, the two-stories near Indian Ripple — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for L-shaped landings and switchback staircases run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Heavy-duty 600 lb chairs from $5,050. Every quote is written, honored 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Do split-level homes cost more because they have two short stair runs?

Two short straight rails are still less expensive than one curved rail. Most Beavercreek split-levels need one rail for the half-flight from the entry to the main level and optionally a second for the bedrooms. We quote each run separately so you can stage the purchase — install the one you need now and add the second later. Hardware is compatible.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering?

For straight staircases, a certified refurbished unit can save 30-40% off a new install — factory-reconditioned with new upholstery, new battery, and a 2-year warranty. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never possible because each rail is custom-manufactured. If your Beavercreek home has a standard straight run, ask about refurbished inventory during the assessment.

Does the PASSPORT Waiver really cover the full cost?

For qualifying residents, Ohio PASSPORT can cover up to $15,000 per calendar year for environmental modifications — enough for most straight-rail and many curved-rail installations. The cap was raised from $10,000 in March 2026. Eligibility requires Ohio residency, age 60+, Medicaid financial eligibility, and nursing-facility level of care assessment. We are a credentialed PASSPORT provider and handle the Environmental Accessibility Adaptation paperwork with your PASSPORT Administrative Agency care manager.

A word from Luis

Most Beavercreek families call after a parent stops going upstairs — a retired Wright-Patt engineer whose knees gave out, an Air Force veteran who has been sleeping on the couch for six months rather than risk the stairs. That first call is usually a daughter or son who lives nearby and cannot keep watching it happen.

I get to your house within 24 hours, measure once with a laser, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. The Dayton VA at 4100 W 3rd St is 15 minutes away and I have prefilled VA Form 10-0103 dozens of times for Greene County veterans — many of them retired from the base.
